  1. Just thin it down with some scotch.
  2. Nope...O'fatherinlaw..."O"wner of the shop where I work...."O"wner of the house I live in....
  3. I bought some dehydrated water, but I didn't know what to add.
  4. Real men run anything that's new and free.
  5. Okay, answer me this: Where is this stand by and watch nonsense coming from? I don't think ANYONE here would/could/will stand by and watch. There is a great difference in getting out of Dodge as fast as possible and standing by to watch. If I had been in this situation, I would not KNOW that the person screaming had been stabbed until I saw it on the news that evening. I don't think anyone here who would choose not to be involved would be sitting on the tailgate with a soda and popcorn watching the show. It's easy for any of us to critique one another and make claims to our intents, but the truth will only out when the ball drops. If the ball drops in or around my court, I'm not playing the game, I'm getting out. Everyone claims to carry a weapon for self defense or personal protection. That's a very vague claim. I like to be very specific as to why I carry my pistol. There's only one reason. I carry to cover my retreat. If and when anything bad ever happens, my wife and I know the plan. Withdraw covering your butt. Get in the truck. There's a rifle there if trouble is in pursuit close, but more than likely, there will be skid marks on the ground in the pattern of Nitto Grapplers.
  6. Be sure and post some pics. Good god I bet that thing barks like a big dog!
  7. It's the the most popular argument there is when apathy, motivation, conviction and responsibility are argued over. I don't accept it's validity in argument either. It wasn't another Jew turning their heads and walking away. It was the lousy german citizens standing there not caring or even cheering it on. The Jewish people had no means of defense. Sticks and stones? I have a means of defense. So does everyone else here. If you choose not to utilize it, why is that my problem?
  8. Give me a little credit. I'm not that stupid. BUT, I ain't doing their job unless it involves my wife. I don't care about anyone else's safety. Not even my own. If I were out alone, I MIGHT be more inclined to help, but then again, probably not. Wether she wants to admit it or not, she needs me. Work, move the couch, stomp a spider, open a jar, keep her safe. My wife needs me and putting myself in harms way jeopardizes HER livelihood. The world can piss off.
  9. NO. Our pooled tax dollars PAYS these people to do this job. On top of paying them money to do the job, we afford them a great deal of indemnity when they have to DO their job. That's why when you shoot the stabber, you'll probably get three hots and a cot until a judge, jury or district attorney says you were justified. The cop that puts this guy down gets paid administrative leave while he gets a free chat with a psychiatrist to make sure he's fit for duty followed by a few pats on the back for kicking some bad guy aßß.
  10. What's a high powered assault rifle? An assault rifle by its very definition would be an intermediate cartridge at best. Ooooohhhh but it sounds so menacing when you're a bunch of dirty tree huggin hippies.
  11. They suck. Pretty much always have.
  12. Sorry if anyone disagrees but that's not being a heartless ogre, that's just knowing your priorities and sticking to them. BY intervening you would be jeopardizing you immediate responsibility. Another threat may present itself and you'd be occupied. You could get injured or killed in the process. Either takes you and the resources you provide to your family, away from them. If that's being a heartless ogre, then I am too.
  13. An all expense paid vacation to Maryville TN!!!!
  14. Peejman for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a set somewhere in my bugout camper, though not with a really nice hanger like that. They really help and have multiple uses.
  15. Polygonal rifling.
  16. This will label me a miserable SOB....but I am so it goes with the job. I'd make my 911 call and keep moving. Me and my wife have a habit of watching our surroundings closely but not paying attention to the goings on. If that makes sense. Honestly, if me and the wife were leaving Walmart and I heard a scream my instinct is to scan for threats but NEVER stop moving toward the vehicle. Step 2: Get in sit down shut up and hold on. The beauty of a 4x4 and mindful parking practices mean I can get out quick. I might have to take out a bush and skin up my bumper...oh well.
  17. Not much to draw. It's got a loop on one end. It's basically a Kebab skewer only shorter and some folks get fancy buy making them from twisted square stock and then beat the shanks round and very sharp. I've used them before on a wood stick rotisserie. A chuck roast skewered with a trio of them gets done in the middle faster. PLUS, it gives you a place to grab ahold of it. They have many uses, think small pieces of mea that are otherwise difficult to hold and cook. You can get a lot of little chunks on one of them.
  18. I'll do that, thanks.
  19. I don't know what they are called but you need to make a set of spikes for cooking meat. I have a set I made. They're 3 or 4 inches long and sharp for piercing a large chunk of meat. It helps transfer heat to the middle to make sure large hunks like a shoulder or a whole turkey breast get done inside before the outside becomes charcoal. I've seen them in gear kits like what you are building but for the life of me forget what they're called.
  20. Please add Soros to the list if you would. We Mac guys don't get to play the game.
  21. Looks like I am going to end up rolling the dice on a 1/8. It's a little too fast for cast boolits but some people are getting good results.
  22. Thanks just the same
  23. Looks like all they do is 5,56/.223 barrels.
  24. Need a barrel made for AR. Any suggestions who would be good to use? Prefer to keep my money local [TN] but don't have to. Shopping for price right now, but I'll be buying one in a week or so. 16" carbine gas, 1 in 10 twist, .300 blackout.
