Yes, this is a case of quantity. It's not that I'm Mr. Acid Sweat. I LITERALLY take my shirt off every 30-45 minutes and wring a stream of sweat out of it. I use two tshirts a day. I hang one from the ceiling fan to dry while I wear the other. Often times though I don't have time to come in and change. Here lately I have to change my underwear and shorts I am LITERALLY as wet as I would be had I dove off in the creek. I drink in excess of 2.5 gallons of fluid a day.

I bought a Katadyn Hiker model tonight. I know it's not the best but it'll do 200 gallons per filter. That'll be perfect for my Day Pack.

Most peaceful time in history? Well, that's the problem. It's been so long that when the top blows off this go round, it's gonna be worse than it ever was. What's CLP? Lubricant? I use Lucas red and tacky on the rails, Molbil1 synthetic on the works and then spray it down with Remoil. I missed a week and when I say sweat....I work outside all day everyday.

Whoda thunkit? Seriously,I usually clean my EDC on Monday's but this week I forgot. I sweat profusely out here and it's a must to check it often. Well, i didn't. When i tried to unload it the slide wouldn't open. I gave it a stiff snatch and it opened and the shell ejected. It was covered in corrosion. The chamber was heartbreaking. After an hour of cleanings the whole gun I am left with three small pits about .030-.040 in diameter. They are smooth and I can't get a dentist pick to hang on them so they may shoot out. This weekend as an apology to my pistol for my inexcusable neglect, we're gonna go through about 500 rounds and then come home to a FULL tear down and detail. I'm talking cold beer, big fan, lots of light and I'm breaking out my jewelers loupe for a full physical on all metal parts. We all need to be mindfull of this hot weather and how corrosive our bodies are. Even if you are not sweating buckets, flesh touching ferrous metal will eventually cause corrosion. Be safe out there.

Thermo electric generators are cool as heck but not very efficient. But when you use them on wasted heat sources they don't have to be. You could put a TEG cell on anything that produces high amounts of heat thaAt you aren't using. You can get a 15watt TEG cell for less than $100. Stick one on the side of your wood stove or even an exhaust manifold of your truck. Read about the Seebeck effect. It's really cool.
