I know a lot of gun owners who are adamantly opposed to anything even close to military in purpose. I have met many that say if it's not a hunting shotgun or rifle, we shouldn't be allowed to own it. AND that no rifle need hold more than three or four shells. Shotguns maybe 5 or 6. These people, in my eyes, are worse than the outright gun haters. WHO ARE YOU to tell me what kind of gun I can own??? Furthermore, a well trained and motivated psychopath can lay waste to a group of people with grandpa's 12g double barrel and an antique pump .22. Remember the DC sniper? A well practiced hand could have done the same with a Trapdoor Springfield.

Some interesting 300 BLK dummy loads

With an adjustable pistol gas system I would say 99% certainly. Carbine gas...??? One way to find out. I would say a good stiff charge of H110 or Lil'gun stand the best chance. -

My biggest problem would be, If I were to ever get a 357 magnum rifle, I would want to shoot the piles of 357 and 38 I have. It'd never get converted. -
I don't know that I want Ice-T defending my 2A rights. Yes when I was a little skater punk teenager I listened to Body Count and I thought the song Cop Killer was cool, but the stupid media will dig that up and make all gun owners look like the image he used to display. Of course he only did it for the money but the media only spins stuff to suit their filthy tree huggin hippie agenda.

That don't mean nuthin'. You could say I'm the nutty one. I've had loaded ammo for a while now. I've even got loaded ammo for 300 RIMMED Blackout. I may never get one built but by golly if I do, I got ammo for it! OOH! Which reminds me Dolomite. I've been thinking about a single shot in 300 BLK-R but now I'm thinking about maybe doing a bolt action like Ruger's .357 mag or maybe doing a lever action. I was thinking on my 30/30 the other day and it occurred to me how cool a lever action in 300 BLK-R would be loaded with Hornady FTX flex tips. -

I gotta get me some Noslers too. I sure like the looks of the Sierra 125g soft points I loaded......or maybe I just like 'em cuz they were free. I DO like the looks of a 150g FMJ. They look positively wicked. Gotta get with David and get me some more of those! Left to right: 125g Sierra - 168g cast - 150gFMJ I think I am most excited about my cast loads though. Man I hope they work out. Loading them for less than a dime each puts me ahead of the pack on expenses. -
Anytime. Glad it could be put to good use.

She will shoot it this weekend. I'll certain report back then.

Weirdest thing is the left handed rifling. Don't see that on too many guns.

Momma is very happy. I gotta say, it's a weird little bugger. Comfortable to be so small, very nicely made, great trigger [leaps and bounds above any other pocket pistol I ever seen] My god it's got one tough recoil spring though. Understandably being a 9mm but it's very stiff. I have a selection to feed it and see what it likes. Either way, the wife is happy. That means I am too. She's so happy I just got all my parts ordered for building my 300 blackout. Woot!

That would hurt...bad.

Explain to me how that's prejudice? It's just the truth. On a tangent, I'll have to admit, there's really not a lot of prejudice or racism here at TGO. That makes me proud. I think I speak for most of us when I say, we take a R. Lee Ermey approach to the matter. There is no racial bigotry here. We do not look down on.................................Here you all equally worthless.

Can't scoot it back any? I doubt it'd be a problem. One way to know, go zero it in. Bring it home and throw it down on the bed as hard as you dare to. Recheck zero. One of my AR's has an Eotech. I held it over my head and threw it down flat against my bed [tempurpedic mattress is none to soft] as hard as I could. Zero was dead on.

Yeah buddy! I appreciate you being there for me like that.

Theaters in Knoxville that are not posted?
Caster replied to Paladin132's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Not bragging about what I have or nothing but I don't care about seeing anything in the movies much anymore anyway. I have an 8000 series 55"Samsung HD 3D LED tv in my bedroom that's about 15x15. No theater has a better picture, only bigger. THe sound is better at the theater but whoopedy doo. It's gotta be big time on my wanna see list before I go to the movies anymore. -

This whole ordeal will only have more businesses posting gunbusters because they are laboring under the delusion that it will keep them safe. BUT, all it's going to do is limit the number of places I spend my money. -
My wife hasn't been this excited about anything in a while. I'm going to buy her one tonight.

You are certainly welcome!

That's friggin' awesome! I'm happy you got the hang of it so quickly. I certainly did not. It's a steep learning curve for getting good results. You nailed it though. Now the fun part. Those things hit a target like a wadcutter. They will cut the most perfect hole you've ever seen. And a darn big hole too!!! Love the handles you got there. Never thought of that!

It's a 38 special. Colt special army 38 It was made in 1920. Being as it has hard rubber grips and no lanyard ring, it's safe to assume its a civil model made after military contracts were fulfilled. I have seen brand new guns that do not lock up this tight. I haven't seen many revolvers lock up this tight in my life. You can tell people used to care about what they made. If I keep it, I'm going to make some new grips for it. These grips are getting rare in this good condition. I will take good care of it and it will only eat light cast loads, but I intend to shoot the heck out of it. It was made to shoot and I will do just that. So much of the original finish is gone, I thought about getting it reblued but it won't make it shoot better. I'll just leave it alone.
-
The Colt doesn't have as good a finish as I thought. BUT....I still came home with it. Don't know if I'll keep it or take it back. I get to keep it and shoot it for a little while while I make up my mind. THe hard rubber grips are almost perfect. One little place on one grip, the other sider is 100%. What do you think? What's it worth?? I shot it today a little. Federal case, Win primer, 3.0g of Titegroup under a 170g cast bullet. It shot very well. Woulda shot better if I wasn't hurting in my right shoulder so much.

Well, I'm happy and sad for you. I'm glad you have a good job, and I'm glad you have been promoted. I hope you got a little more fundage to go with it! I hate the stress you'll be under though. But hey, figure in all the people who are unemployed and the stress might lessen a touch. Kings to you brother!

That was my thinking. Potable water is gonna have to be non existent before I break this out.

Yeah, if I hadn't made it clear to everyone, I have taken my pistol from it's holster on occasion and seen sweat running down the slide. THIS is the reason I wipe it off at night and break it down every week. I missed a week....never again! I don't believe a few drops of sweat would have any affect on it at all.
