Much the truth this morning: I been busier than a cat coverin' up

My father in law likes to make fun of people who can't back a trailer into the drive. He will say "They couldn't drive a greasy peg up a billy goat's $%%" I don't WANT to know the origins of that one!

If you know someone with a handicap tag, you can beat the parking fee. I do. I never park in the handi cap spot though.
-
I'd explain to him the proper procedure for forcibly inserting that policy into his rectum.
-
If you use big words, people think you're smarter than you really are. Take me for example.
-
Yeah, they don't show. Best bet is to memorize code for your fav's.

We all like what?!? The part about me dying? Jesus ya'll sound like some of my friends here at home! :bowrofl:

The fabric of our lives!

Yes and they can be ferocious. They are bad in west TN. I do not personally like the idea of killing coyotes, but I will neither debate that nor condemn those who do. [not openly anyway] On the other hand I am full on for the eradication of the crossbred "Coydog" I had several run-in's with them in west TN. If you can visualize what a cross between one and a pit-bull would look like, well... I can tell you that's where I learned ball ammo is garbage! I put several 55g FMJ in the shoulder of one only to have him charge me. My compadre at the time was carrying his 870 and some 3.5" loads in an XX full choke. THat was over quickly. I was out another time and cornered near my car by no less than 4, I know for a fact there was more than that, but that's what I counted in front of me. I was carrying a revolver at the time and I'm not sure if 5 rounds of 38 special would have been enough. I got in the car and shut the door and drove a few feet away before rolling the window down to ...umm...engage. I'm telling you what little I know and have seen, they do not go down easily. They have the instincts of their wild counterparts but they carry no fear of man just like a domestic dog. There are instances of children being killed too. It happened in nashville about 8 or 10 years ago. Detroit is having issues with them in the abandoned districts. They are not a joke.

We gotta get you a "Coolest dad ever" coffee mug or sumthin'!!! Just in time for school too. What'd you do this summer? "Oh you know, shot some stuff. Blew it up. Typical stuff me and the old man do for kicks."

That's funny!!! What'd you do, sell it to buy some more chrome and a set of louder pipes?

He's proud to be in the land of the free and the home of the landscaping professionals.

Yeah the ghetto-mart on charlotte ave in nashville doesn't have them either. Can't imagine why????

Do you ever wonder where some of the things we say come from? I got the distinct privilege of hearing hours of conversation amongst a diverse group of people today.....all day...alllll dayyy. Some of the things we say, if taken literally would land us in the Parthenon Pavilion under heavy sedation. [After the day I've had, that sounds really good actually!] For example: It's hotter than 2 rats in a wool sock. Are we assuming here or was there an actual study on the thermodynamics of wool and it's affects on ambient temperatures during the mating action of rats? One very big question I have, why would ANYONE pee in a boot? Was there nowhere else left to go? The list goes on and on, but on a more serious note, one I heard in particular. It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Really? Have we thought this one through? Yes I would rather take my chances convincing a jury of my peers I'm innocent that a jury of ONE on judgment day, but have you considered the actual imprisonment? Have you watched John Seigenthaler "Lock Up" ? People really are lunatics. All of them. The ones we label as lunatics just don't hide it.
-
It's gonna be tough to beat a Ruger for the money. THat single six is the business.
-
I saw one of those too! I would have never thought in this day and age I would see an AR10 in wallyworld!

GTV, If you haven't already, consider a Magpul rear sling attachment. Run a single point sling snug enough to pull forward against and put that tension against your body. Certainly not as good as having that third lock up point on your person but it will help control the weapon.

Personally I think Pelican is the best case for gun control. Holds them in place so they don't bounce around, nearly indestructible and good warranty. ...ohh wait.

....It's going back....waaayyy back....It's outta here! Home run!

If everyone was like you, I wouldn't be either! You're alright, it's the rest of gumby populace thats the problem.

You'd think so, right?

It depends on how hard you wanna work. I can link you a tutorial on converting berdan brass to boxer. It ain't easy. There are people who convert berdan to use a 209 primer. I would only do this for very low pressure cast bullet loads as there's no way to know how the 209 primer will affect pressures. Try Graff and Sons. They usually have boxer brass. Also, I would not pull down a boxer primed load, just to reload it. I would shoot it and let it fire form to my chamber, then neck size only. Brass will last longer and loads will be more accurate than full length sizing.

I'm not allowed to take a day off unless I die. THen I have to give a minimum of 48hrs notice.

If you will read up on Vasili, you will find that it was HIM and not the rifle. I don't wanna take away from him, he was better than I ever could be, BUT as a Marksman, he was NOTHING compared to Carlos Hathcock. It was his tactics that landed him large numbers. As far as the rifle, I disagree slightly with gjohnsoniv, I don't think it will be as much your rifle, as it will be your ammunition. Virtually ANY rifle can be made to shoot well if the ammunition is custom tailored to suit it. I know it's pricey, but for the kind of accuracy you are looking for, you need to reload. I won't preach you the sermon of casting for that rifle, although you wouldn't believe how well it would take to a cast bullet!!!! Anyway, you need to buy the brass and reload for it. Yes the brass is expensive. Yes you must find a properly sized bullet to use. BUT, then and only then, will you see it's true potential. THe only other two options I can think of are less palatable. Either Norma factory ammo or Surplus 7N1. Either are gonna cost you north of a $2 per shot.
