  1. I love Henry rifles and the mindset behind them, but I loathe the tube loading. A side loading gate is a must for me. BUT, if you don't mind loading it like a tube fed .22, you will NOT be disappointed with the quality and people Henry. THey answer every email and really believe in their product. Personally, I think it's dang hard to beat a '94 unless it's a Savage '99.
  2. What makes a rifle a Sniper rifle? The guy {or gal} behind the trigger. It could be a worn out Stevens Crack shot .22 loaded with shorts and be a sniper rifle in the hands of the right mind.
  3. AMEN to that. I really like guys like Clay Guida and others. Of COURSE they wanna win, but they don't play a game of only winning, They come to throw DOWN!!!!!! I don't think bad of a guy who loses when he bangs it out really hard. Heck, that's what I wanna see!
  4. Love Anderson! BUt, that's easy to say. Everyone loves the winner. By far my favorite fighter to watch is Ben "Smooth" Henderson. THat's the most limber son of a gun I ever seen. I have to say his last loss before he came to UFC was COOL too. Even he would have to admit getting caught with a ninja kick as the guy bounced off the side of the cage was awesome.
  5. I prefer Belgian waffles myself.
  6. The Russians have been finding German weapon caches in the eastern areas of WWII for years. Many if not most have loaded magazines for Lugers or mp44s and they are still perfectly serviceable.
  7. If you got a receiver hitch, buy her a bumper dumper! http://www.bumperdumper.com/bumper2.htm
  8. Aww come on! THat would be coolest of headlines. GUNstore owner dispatches would be robber with his mad bushido skill.
  9. Yeah, kinda like all those Ragnar Benson books on how to make Astrolite, RDX, ANFO and all other sorts of boomers. All the while heading it under, "Academic study only" What the frick ever!
  10. 1> You will have MORE control over your temp's. More importantly, I can tell you from experience; A lyman pot will out last half a dozen hot plates and will reach working temps faster. 2>THe smelting process is NASTY. When I smelt weights and whatnot down, I do it in no less than 100lb sessions. I prefer more than that. I wear a respirator and take extra precautions. It's nasty stuff all the paint, dip spit, grease and funk on a wheel weight. Casting into clean ingots streamlines the process and just makes better use of your time. You will get sick of casting really quick if you melt a pot of weights, clean all the crap out, cast bullets for just the one pot worth, then repeat. When I cast I might go through dozens of ingots before I am done. Also, who wants that nasty crud in the pot that you make bullets from? To easy to transfer contaminants. Did I mention that melting wheel weights is kinda nasty? 3>With the rare exception, I do not water drop much of anything. I DO water drop 9x19 most of the time as well as my 325g bullet I use for 45 Colt. BOth of those are driven to MUCH higher pressures than any other pistol bullet. I cast a 170g lyman 358429 semi wadcutter for my 38 special out of pure lead. soft as butter. It's moving less than 900 fps so there is NO need for hard lead. As far as not sizing, I don't size half what I shoot unless I know the mold to cast an out of round bullet OR I have to crimp a gas check on. If it will fit in the throat and will seat in the case without deforming the brass, it will shoot.
  11. Hmm, I don't see what you're seeing. I just added a $300 wakizashi made by cold steel to my cart went through the check out process. I see nothing. Had I clicked the button one more time, I'd be out 3 bills and the owner of a Cold steel sword.
  12. I'm happy someone is getting results that doesn't raise their blood pressure by 50 points.
  13. I hate you. Fourth from the bottom??? That's my favorite judging on looks alone. You oughta leave me that in your will.
  14. Lon Horiuchi can burn in hell.
  15. THe Mookie war rig is pretty nice.
  16. We think OMG! like it doesn't happen. I wonder just how many US subs have slipped around waters they don't have a right to be in? Probably more US subs in No-No territory than foreign ones in ours. My biggest concern is with the spineless cowards we have running the country now. First thing they'll say is "Let's all calm down, I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why a fourth of our country is now a blanket of ash." They'll wanna talk about it like the touchy feely hippies they are.
  17. That's because they are factory ammo boxes that have been painted.
  18. The 99 beats all others hands down. No other lever gun allows the 30WCF to reach it's maximum potential. Super strong action and the rotary box magazine may lose a round or two by comparison to tube magazines but you can load a spitzer with no issues.
  19. No looka here fella's. THis is what I've talked about in the past, as it related to my disgust with western democracy. We have a clean and productive place here. We have ample liberties and I've seen the flexibility the rules around here have. AND still yet, when something needs to be done....WHAM! Done, moving on. Well, we tried it the way the founding fathers built it. We've tried it the way the tree huggin hippies have mutated into being. I'd like to see how things go this way. TGODavid for supreme chancellor of the first American Empire. Job number one, all males of appropriate age and physical ability are hereby charged with the purging of leftwing hippy filth. THen we have a beer!
  20. Real men take their wives out to Loveless and get the Sampler plate with fried catfish,a fried chicken breast, and slab of meatloaf w/ green beans and mac and cheese and a pile of biscuits. Then look over to see the wife sorely disappointed with their meager chicken strips and start piling her plate with the better parts of your plate. Still full, and momma smiled.
  21. Super Kewl! Want one of those bad! Had one growing up, it disappeared.
  22. DId you get that local or order it? If local, where?
  23. You need to try Montana Extreme 50BMG formula. It's POWERFUL so have plenty of ventilation. I've yet to use ANYTHING that will strip copper out of a bore as well as this stuff. I recently cleaned an old surplus rifle with it that looked clean when I got it. I was pulling blue patches out for the next 15 minutes. It looks like a brand new one now. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/525120/montana-x-treme-copper-killer-bore-cleaning-solvent-6-oz-liquid I also use Montana Extreme's cowboy formula for cleaning up after Cast bullets. It works just as well for it's intended purpose. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/129728/montana-x-treme-cowboy-blend-bore-cleaning-solvent-6-oz-liquid
