  1. 2016 is the year of the .444 Marlin I think. I'm gonna get me a Winchester 94AE Timber carbine. ...ohh wait! I did that today. I've always wanted one, I just didn't know it.

Exactly! You can clearly see the conundrum.
  5. I want this to happen really bad. That's how I know it's a pipe dream and a joke and will never happen.

This is a difficult topic. I mean, on one hand ....
  7. Remington has become more interested in building their corporate portfolio than building a quality product. The problem with current Marlins IS Remington. Remington blows. You take their flag ship: the 700. Comparing two 700's side by side, one made today and one made in say, 1960. Its the same difference in a Wilson Combat and a High Point. Both very serviceable and all, but really.... If you find yourself shopping for a Marlin lever gun, do your best to find one made in the 50's. They are arguably the best made Marlins out there....ever.
  8. Some?  You mean MOST????
  9. Found it on youtube for those of us who despise Facebook.     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzxSsS4-mtE
  10. The lardazz on the bass boat tickled me.
  11. I took mine a few weeks before my 21st Birthday.  The instructor, who has since passed away so I don't mind telling off on him, said, "If you pass, I'll sign it and date it when you turn 21."     As to that being legal or not I cannot say.  He was retired FBI and a very knowledgable guy.  That was close to 18 years ago.
  12. I'd be in for a few red AA's.     I don't shoot a lot of shotgun but I have a MEC set up and enjoy loading them.  I really oughta start shooting some of these stupid things.     You have a price point in mind?
  13. Well, duhh.
  14. Have 14 kids and get a government job...or no job at all. Then you can make a comfortable living and not pay your ridiculously high taxes. It works for almost all the inner city ghetto trash.
  15. Kinda like walking to Hawaii ain't it? Ohh, another step closer, ain't this wonderful. ....wait, why are my lungs full of salt water?
  16. You answered your own question it appears.
  17. I'm with the flyin' man Mike, Accurate #5 butters my bread for small handgun loads.  Meters smooth as water, very consistent and cost effective.      I would find data for any 95g cast bullet and work up from there looking for accuracy and flawless function.  With a coated bullet you can slide right on up the scale to jacketed data but I'd stay away from upper tier charge weights unless you do some very thorough testing.  It would probably be a waste anyway, you'll find all you're looking for before you get that high.     I load a 100g cast bullet for my runnin' buddy.  Its cast from water quenched WW"s so they're fairly hard.  I use Titegroup and they surprised me for penetration.  We wrapped a thick winter coat around three milk jugs of water.  Went through the coat and the first milk jug and just barely penetrated the second.  Thats sufficient for any two legged douche that needs help reconsidering his life choices.
  18. Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire!
  19. Would it have killed the dumb broad to toss her purse in the trunk? No, it wouldn't have.
  20. I hear you Spots. Moonshine is stupid...beyond stupid. The working temps are fairly narrow. Disaster is easier than success and for a LOT less $$ I can get something far stronger than 99% of the shiners out there can make (if that's the goal). AND you know the purity. Might be different if you're doing it yourself or you really KNOW the person but to just buy the crap? Jeez, did we learn nothing from prohibition. Bathtub gin will kill you or blind you.
  21. Something else "I" would do. After about the third or fourth loading, I'd let that brass hit the ground and stay there. Well, if you're shooting a pistol with an unsupported chamber that is. It's gonna get weak what with working the brass like that. Having a blow out sucks and brass is cheaper than flesh.
  22. Get a Lee factory crimp die and a Lee bulge buster kit for it. Tumble clean, then run them through and iron out the bugle at the base before running them through the sizing die. .380's are notorious for having unsupported chambers. It's what they do to get those little pocket pistols to feed reliably. As a side effect, the thin brass of the .380 swells at the base and a standard sizing die will often NOT iron that out. Therein lies one of the leading issues of reloading the .380 and getting your reloads to cycle reliably.
  23. Gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
  24. That goes for ANY caliber. Anyone who would just start loading something in large quantity without accuracy and function testing is doing himself a great disservice.
  25. As a people, we will never punish her properly but she should spend life in a room covered with pictures of that little one. Maybe even a tv repeating home videos and pictures on a constant feed.
