  1. No, probably not. Might be good though, they are both master debaters.
  2. It would have been chaos 'bout three in the morning at all the local Waffle Houses!
  3. My biggest suggestion is, Cry Now. Not later. If you skimp or cut corners you will be disgusted with yourself later. It'll hurt like hell but spend the money and be happy for many moons and thousands of zombies to come. Been there, done with that.
  4. Oh, that musta been in the director cut.
  5. Did you likewise notice that two women were able to outrun the soldiers marching in formation and get far enough ahead of them to rig the demo charges on the bridge??? THem chicks can really get diggin!
  6. Looks funny without the skin burning off his face don't he?
  7. Please do. It's my mission in life to turn every TGO member to the dark side of reloading. I have a growing list of disciples. Join us. We shoot cheaper and it's fun to confuse the couch commandos at the range when they tell you that ridiculous BS about you can't push cast bullets past 1500-1600 FPS and you lay down a consistent string deep in the 2K range; OR the pride of having a whopping $5 in a box (50) of .45 Colt.
  8. THIS! And he'd STILL have a bag full of ammo left. Did't we prove this in the AMerican Revolution? Take out commanding officers, the fight dies down considerably.
  9. Don't sneeze either. I sneezed once and had a booger fly into the pot. Holy crap I never knew a burning booger would smell so bad. About as bad as getting a hair in it.
  10. $1200 worth of Glock looks more like this
  11. Fire it up first. See how it heats up. Then play with it. Get a feel for how it works. Then empty it. Get a wire brush or better yet, a wire brush on a grinder and clean it the best you can. It ain;t gotta be perfect, just get the stuff that's likely to flake off. Linotype is awful hard. You don't wanna use that for wad cutters. Pour that back into ingots and save that for some magnum handgun loads. You might use it for 9mm, but I personally wouldn't. It will work just fine mind you, but I'd save it. For 9mm air cooled wheel weights are fine. If you need a little harder stuff, you can water drop it. For a 38 special, soft lead is fine. Remember, the harder it is, the more pressure it takes to obturate. It MUST seal the bore or it will lead. If it's too hard and the pressures are low like 38 special, it will most likely lead. There's books to read and all kinds of conversations to have, but honestly, you learn a lot by just making a mess. Just remember to BE SAFE!!!!!! You will also need am appropriate sizing die and some bullet lube. I suggest Lee's dies and some Lee tumble lube. It's novice friendly and works EXTREMELY well.
  12. He's been going on about a Tavor for several years now.
  13. Maybe he'll run into a gal trained in Gracie Ju Jitsu. Let him get a kiss or two in before you throw a leg triangle around his head and one arm. Best part is, there's no ref to stop the move after he passes out.
  14. THey're worthless. Clarksville is just a short drive from here, why don't I swing up there and dispose of it for you? Kidding! Being as you don't see them everyday, they are absolutely worth a dollar or two more than a black one. I have a Gen 3 19 in OD green too I bought from a member here. I paid $700 for it and 3 magazines. It had Trijicon sites too. I would NOT take my money back for it. I'd even turn down a good bit more than that.
  15. Don't blame that one on David. I talked myself into that one. I'm over at David's house one day, he shows me some piles of primed brass he says he wants to make some 300 brass out of. Never having made any to speak of, maybe a dozen, I speak up like Big Pete and say "You want me to do some of them for ya?" What was he supposed to say, "No I don't want you to save me from hours of finger blistering labor." I'm glad of it though, sore knuckles and a few thousand swear words later I can honestly say, I'm pretty dang good at making BLK brass. :bowrofl: In typical David fashion, he MORE than made it worth my while. Not that I need to be compensated, I'm more than happy to do it for guy like him. I might would charge you double Mike, just for the "Ole Tender Knuckles" bit that I just have a feeling, will carry on from you to me for a long time coming.
  16. Are you in City Limits? The city of Franklin will not put up with that crap. Call in to Codes and tell them his yard is a dump.
  17. I'm inclined to believe that lotteries are rigged in order to get the money to people who will squander it fastest. That way it can be absorbed back into the collective faster.
  18. Some people. The tacticool movement of the gun crowd gives me a bowel movement. I'm not a Garand fan but this is disgusting. No offense to whoever owns the gun, it's theirs and they can beat up against a tree if it turns them on, but jeez. It's bad enough to do it to the M14's, at least they have a real purpose.
  19. Amen to that brother. Nobody cares anymore! THey're just there for a paycheck. There was a time when a man getting paid for his work was only half of it. His pride was on the line. If anyone doubts that, compare a new Model 70 Winchester to one made say...1940 [just threw that out at random] You CAN still get the quality. But you'll have to sell a kidney and take a second mortgage to pay for it. Case in point: Hamilton Bowen.
  20. I'd probably be the nice quiet neighbor and never say a word. I'd even clean it up for him and put it in the drivers seat of his truck.
  21. Cosmetic damage. That's another great point Mike. If you drop your Glock, you swear once and move on. I bet if you were to drop you 1911 on the concrete driveway there wouldn't be a person alive who'd wanna be within ten miles of you for the rest of the day. I know if I were to drop my G19...meh, that's what I get for being stupid. If I were to drop my Blackhawk......everyone around me is going to suffer along with me.
  22. Yeah that was me. Let me take a short break from 1911 hatin' long enough to say, There is NOT a more gorgeous work of art in the auto pistol world than a finely built 1911. Likewise, there's few as butt ugly as a glock. The Hi point has it beat for ugly, but still, it's not easy on the eyes. THat's what makes the sentence MIkeGideon posted so very true. EVERYTHING built by humans is prone to failure. To say otherwise is foolish. BUT, few things in life are as reliable a Glock. I would say that if you G17 ever fails you; YOU are at fault. Not insinuating you'd do something dumb, just making a point. THey work. Great score by the way, when do we get pictures? Even though it ain't pretty I like to see them. My Glock and my dog get the same compliment from me everyday. Boy you sure ain;t much to look at, but thanks for being here for me. I know I can depend on you.
  23. WHat was that commercial a few years ago?? Had a catchy tune..."Aint no lower class, then TN trash" Only problem with the commercial is, There's so many people that fit this category that don't even litter!!!
