  1. Oooooh! You know, you only have to avoid that store the first week of the month when all the gubment checks go out. Three or four days and the welfare crowd are broke again, sitting at home until next months communist handout.
  2. I am red/green color blind and cannot use an Aimpoint or most any other red dot device. It takes me several seconds to find the dot and I have to intentionally focus on it to keep from losing it. THose seconds and loss of concentration equals death. The Eotech is the only one I can use. I still have the same difficulty with the center dot but the bright circle draws my eye to it and I have no delay in taking aim. For this reason I am I staunch supporter of Eotech. THey are rugged and simple. I like the AA version best even if it is a little bulky compared to the 123 version. The bulkiness is trivial though and you can buy a nice NiCad charger and a couple sets of high quality rechargeable NiCad batteries and you're set. I keep two sets and I have some ENergizer Lithium camera batteries in the battery compartment of my Magpul stock for emergencies. I've messed up my shoulder recently and as a result have become very unstable shooting from an unsupported position yet I have no problems hitting a clay target at 100 yards with my Eotech. I don't care about being any more accurate then that. Minute of zombie brain is as accurate as I will ever need to be.
  3. People say "lead poisoning" like it's a bad thing. It won't hurt you. I'm living proof it won't living proof it won't hurt you.
  4. pcrc11 has it right. BY far the MOST accurate Mauser and quite possibly the most accurate mil surp bolt rifle ever made. Swedish M96 in 6.5x55
  5. Race riots? Well whooptey . Might be a few decent's get caught in the first wave, but it'd be a very pathetic fight. Example: Right wingers are green. Obama rioters wearing black:
  6. When I grow up, I wanna be Daryl Dixon. Clint Eastwood's down and dirty step brother!
  7. Getting rid of debt feels great. Nothing like getting something paid off to make you feel better.
  8. Suppressor from a ball bat? Well, it'd work, but where'd they find a machine shop with power to make the threaded adapter and the internal baffles? Dunno if I'd used a mag light for a suppressor host myself. Glad to see Carol pulling her weight with Kalashnikov. Daryl must be the new Clint Eastwood with his pull over.
  9. Pizza? Check. Beer? Check. Less than 10 minutes to go!
  10. I got no family other than my wife ( at least none I care to see) But she bought me this a while back and it is my most prized piece. Completely custom/reworked Super Blackhawk Bisley 45 Colt.
  11. I like it. How long is it? Could certainly handle light chopping like bone and sinew. Looks great!
  12. Right, that'd never happen in Nashville. THere's a lot of starving bands in music city. Just invite one to crash there for a while. "Sure, you can set your drum kit up in the living room, we love Death Metal at 3am."
  13. You pick up local paper and start reading the section on who went to jail for what. "John Smith, 4th DUI reduced to first offense with fine" I see it all the time. An entire industry of lawyers has been built on defending DUI convictions. Tolerance of this sort of behavior is the reason why it continues. Nowhere on earth, no time in history have there every been a people so willing and eager to support wrong doing as the people in this once great country. Yeah, I've made mistakes. Getting hammered and driving was never one of them. Doing pretty much anything that endangered the life of anyone other than myself is not one of them. I've been so stoned and/or drunk that I didn't k ow whether to scratch my watch or wind my butt, but I still knew to never drive, or handle a weapon.
  14. I've had so much good luck from this bolt action, my brass lasts a LOT longer than it would in an AR and I don't have to order a custom barrel. THanks for the offer. ALl the standard 300 BLK barrels are a fast twist. You CAN find one in a slower twist but it ain't easy and it sure ain't cheap.
  15. No you don't HAVE to lube carbide. BUT, as Dolomite says, it helps. I do it because it makes cycling my press MUCH easier. With this fouled up shoulder, cranking a hundreds of the buggers will really inflame it. A little spray lube makes it a whole lot easier on ME.
  16. Okay, I couldn't tell on my iPad. I'm with you then, fired in the wrong chamber.
  17. Looks more like a reloading mistake. Trying to shove a 40 bullet in a 9mm case. I've seen similar cases where 45 bullets were shoved into 44 cases.
  18. Well, ole tender knuckles ain't gotta pick up 300 blk brass being as his is a bolt action, now do he?
  19. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/48414-case-lube-for-cheap/
  20. No it does not. It implies no such thing. People make mistakes? Yeah, stupid people make the mistake of drinking and driving. There's no mystery to alcohol. It's no surprise what happens when you consume it. There's no ignorance of its effect amongst human beings. If you're stupid enough to and reckless enough to endanger other peoples lives by driving drunk, personally Id like to see them be charged with attempted murder and any fatality from a crash should carry charges of premeditated murder. Thinking its "just another mistake" that people make is what's wrong with people in this country. No one wants to take responsibility for their actions. It's pathetic. I drink like a fish.....AND I STAY HOME WHEN I DO. Period. No exceptions.
  21. I don't know but it SHOULD be that you can't have any period. A DUI is a sign of extremely poor judgment. Do you really want someone like that toting a gun around? I sure as heck don't.
  22. I've been wanting an SP101 in 9mm for a while now. Not easy to find and even harder to justify paying the exorbitant prices people ask for them.
  23. Pretty awesome cartridge. New project in the back of your mind? .45 acp necked down to 40 cal. Simple barrel swap on a 1911, am I right? Ever seen a .440 Cor-Bon? THat's a .50 Action Express necked down to .44 cal. BAD boy.
  24. You mean Merle. I get the feeling Merle will threaten the group and Daryl will have to put him in his place.
  25. I'd like to encourage everyone participating to really be creative. Obviously it doesn't matter what everyone receives, be thankful and glad in it. BUT, when it comes to our hobby, $25 is a pretty limited fund, but that's also the fun of it. The challenge. The whole idea of gift giving isn't about "Mine's bigger than yours" but it could be a fun challenge amongst us as friends to see who can do the best IN THE $25 limit. I mean, you could buy a Glock magazine or a brick of .22's....BORING!!! Give it some thought people. My brain's been working on it. I have a few ideas. THere's some seriously creative people here. I'm interested in seeing what some of ya'll come up with for $25.
