  1. No. Neither one is truly sufficient for home defense. There's so many lies and gimmicks, smoke mirrors and BS with shotguns. They won't blow people apart. Birdshot is a paltry excuse for a defense load. Those whizz bang super gimmicks you buy at the gunshow are just that, gimmicks. But that's not what you asked. IMHO, go buy a buck load or even a heavy turkey load will suffice. Slugs will ALWAYS work. My preference is good 9 pellet load of .30 or .32 caliber lead. For casual blasting, buy what's cheapest, there's not much difference.
  2. I admit, I usually do not like female singers. It's NOT misogynism I just really don't think 99% of female singers can hack it in hard rock/heavy metal. There are exceptions, few and far between. I seen this ole gal in concert and she is definitely an exception. This broad has a serious set of lungs. They put on a heck of a live concert and she can SING. Halestorm rocks. Ain't been a chick rock like this since Heart!
  3. Apparently not. I'd still vote for Norman!
  4. Heck! We'd even watch "The View" if some of those skanks got eat by walkers!
  5. I dunno Robert. I agree we will never see those numbers but I imagine a lot of people left. Comcast is very accommodating to new customers (and old ones) if you start barking demands. I know some disagree but I have had very good service from them.
  6. I'd be willing to try that if it were a true matial law and things were run by the head generals of the five branches of military. A governing body of five men who honor the first two amendments. How much worse could it get? At least something would actually get done. Oh god, did i just type that out loud?
  7. It was inevitable. I'd like some real numbers on how many people left Dish simply on account of the Walking Dead.
  8. The guy asks me not to and made it worth my while.
  9. A loose barrel can happen even with "supposed" fair quality builders. I say fair quality because it just does NOT happen with top shelf folks like LWRC for example. I won't name the company, but I got an upper not long ago that had the gas block misaligned. No possible way to line it up either as it was hitting the hand guard before it bottomed out. The barrel nut was also not torqued, when I put the wrench to it, the weight of the wrench turned the barrel nut. These people were profusely apologetic and in the most polite way possible, demanded it be returned. I did not though as I had it fixed in less than an hour and am to date, very pleased with it. Just saying, as I have said SO MANY TIMES: cry now or cry later. Pay the money, get the best you can afford, don't cut corners with a "good deal" and research. If you read several bad reviews, there's a reason for it. Yes Larue tactical is ungodly expensive, but you don't read people bitching about their inferior quality either.
  10. Body SLUMS from a homeless guy? Pun intended?
  11. Best thing about fixin up a Hi point, it's nigh impossible to make it worse.
  12. Boy are you an antique.
  13. Pm sent, if yours is a .750 diameter barrel, I have one already cut and smoothed out. It's yours if you come get it.
  14. Ohshoots right but this one was made before the merger.
  15. You dun good!!!!
  16. Dickson? Heckim right up the road from you. If you wanna bring it out one Saturday morning I'll do it for you. Just be sure it's what you want to do. It's a simple matter to make steel smaller. It's he'll making it bigger! Seriously, I can throw a towel over it and use a cut off wheel to knock off the sight, then we can file it smooth so it looks like something.
  17. Heck yeah! That gun is clean! Awesome!!!! With the money you saved you got no excuse for slapping some Barska trash on it. Buy some reasonable quality glass for it. I vote Nikon Prostaff. You won't regret it. Then work you up a handload and meet one VERY accurate rifle.
  18. Politicians never. But, in my deluded world of tin foilery I firmly believe that top brass put away things much the same as we stock ammo and no perishable foods. WTSHTF we all know our own military will not be turned against us on a grand scale because no self respecting troop will follow that order. BUT, some guy with a pound of brass on his shoulder decides to say to his men, let's go over here, set up and be safe by working together, who's with me? He will have lots of followers. Kings to him if he has the rod of iron with which to rule. Money gets lost by the dump truck load on government projects. No telling what pet projects get funded that no one knows about.
  19. Romney can use this pretty well if O declines. How damaging to a presidential candidate can it be to say " This guy would not provide simple papers to help a charity out and as a result millions of aid for said charity was lost" From a moral standpoint, that's a very nasty indictment.
  20. I pity any little pine trees in your back yard! Sweet looking chopper!
  21. Right. If they're willing to divulge on this one, what do they have that they are NOT willing to talk about?
  22. Graycrait is right. Just carry it and worry not. Function and accuracy are all that matters. There's a comfort in having a good gun that's trustworthy but not pretty.
  23. Wonder what the math looks like when systems are affected they didn't figure on? Gee, our calculations didn't show that it would affect such a large area. We didn't know it would reach far enough to shut down the antimatter containment field on super collider. That sounds far fetched but there was a school of thought during the development of the atomic bomb that they weren't entirely sure the chain reaction would be confined to fissionable materials. Imagine if carbon atoms had starting splitting too.
