Israeli strike on moving target, populated area
Caster replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
God bless you Israel. For my part, don't stop. Wipe them out. Adopt a Conan policy. Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women. -
Saiga all the way. They are a small hassle, reconfiguring but whoopedy do. You get an AK built by people who KNOW how to build an AK.

John Kerry as the next Secretary of Defense?
Caster replied to MacGyver's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Why not? Let's give them everything they want. The faster the drive it in the ground, the faster we can crucify them with public support. Give them all the judges and tax hikes they beg for and when it collapses around them, we can round them up and put them in slave labor camps or just rid the world of their excrement altogether. -
The man whored around, big deal, 90% of the world does the same thing. The man is good at seeing to the death of terrorists. Should just let him do his job. Funny how the media wouldn't report a damn thing over benghazi but they are on this like a pack of wild dogs. This country is so stupid, I don't have the words to descibe.

Wooden arrows and a compund bow sound like a recipe for disaster to me. WTSHTF do you really want half an arrow shaft through your forearm? The one problem I have with The Walking Dead is Daryl making arrows from wood for his compound bow. Sure it can be done, but not easily and only a few choice species of wood will hold up. The cheap wooden arrows that are most commonly found are nothing but a fletched and nocked dowel rod. Just be careful. This could be one of those cry now or REALLY cry later moments.

An extra Merry Chrsitmas to Daniel here. With the hell and headaches of the fire you've had to deal with, I for one would not have thought ill of you for dropping this. Kings to you for perseverance.
I'm looking forward to the next thirty! Those are mine, they belong to me!
Hell I ain't! If you follow a logical regressive rate over the time line of my life thus far, things are getting harder and more painful at an ever increasing rate. The current rate alone is frightening, but applying a bit of math shows a snowball effect. By the time I have doubled my current age of 35, I will be a drooling vegetable. Being realistic to what I have to look forward to; worsening back problems, crippling arthritis [already begun] and I'm 99% sure I'll have prostate cancer [many of my family have it, or died from it] . Taking all this in, I am NOT, in the least bit, interested in getting old. I'll have to tough it out for as long as my wife lives, I only need 24 hours after her death so I can see that her wishes for interment are met. After that, I'm outta here. Getting old ain't for wimps. It takes a real man to battle old age. Lots of people fear death, I fear prolonged life.
Got to get it treated, 1st heat to 350 is done, cooling down now, have to do this 3 times, from what I have read. I will get to casting this weekend.
Over heating a brass mold is bad, so take care. Warping is a real possibility. On the flip side, they tend to cast the nicest bullets youve ever seen.

Your prep stash is lost, everything gone... Now what?
Caster replied to a topic in Survival and Preparedness
Learning to live in the "woods" is not the problem or even all that difficult provided you're halfway intelligent to begin with. The problem to taking to the "woods" is: Who else has already taken to those woods? Southern Gentry will NOT abound in those days. -
Be nice
Sorry, I wasn't trying to be an ass. It should be a lesson to us all. Disperse, diversify, plan ahead. When you think it's enough, you've only just made a decent beginning. -

I wanna know how it is that you have lost ALL of your preps. Why were all of your eggs in one basket? You expect me to believe that all of properly prepared persons things were compromised? Sorry but that's First off, a fella that's got his act together has MORE one and by more than one I mean three minimum stores. A main stash may be lost but back up stores should be elsewhere so you aren't left with whizzin in the wind. It starts with all the great goodies at home, then a mortar can or ammo cans stored away, or even a sealed five gallon bucket. You'd be surprised what you can get in a five gallon bucket. Second, if you HAVE put all your eggs in one basket, and your handle breaks causing you to drop all your eggs, well....natural selection says you deserve it. No mercy for the stupid. -
Bottom left, I've always been intrigued by the 224 Boz

Christmas Time TGO Premium Membership (Benefactor) Giveaway
Caster replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Cool contest! Wish I had a recipe. I'm a bit of a Ebenezer 'bout Christmas. My holiday gourmet usually involves perusing a menu before serving. -
THis is ridiculous sure, but I am all for it. I am 100% for a division of this country. It needs to be split between the left and the right and see who's still alive and well in a few more years.

Grill stock! That's about as great as a shovel stock!

No way Carol is dead yet. Her and Daryl haven't played out. Not saying she is safe, so one is, but there's more to this story. I see Carl and Beth a couple before long too. They'd make a cute couple and she needs him. She's fairly useless thus far. Look how clean her clothes are. Carl needs to teach her a thing or two about contribution. Carl had to buck up and learn it fast, she's no different.
if you need to light a fire to use your cellphone, I am pretty sure charging your cell phone will be the least of the troubles.
Cell phone, yes but portable devices that do not necessarily need network connections to work will be invaluable. Think of all the information you could store on an iPad. Everything from medical procedures, edible plants, all kinds of stuff one may not wish to memorize. I have a large file of such on my iMac. I can wipe my iPad clean and upload it all in a few minutes.

If you find a tree stand of theirs and it has a ladder, discretely tie it to your atv or truck with a hundred ft of aircraft cable. Wait for the guy to get up in the stand, then drive off, ripping the ladder away, stranding him up there. Call the game warden.....or don't. OR, take up shooting skeet a few hundred yards away, or get a 2-stroke dirt bike and take off the muffler. Make LOTS of noise. Could get a battery operated radio with an alarm clock on it. Set it for just after you think they get set up in the stand.

Kudos for not wasting it. At least something good will come from it. Mmmmm, backstrap on a homemade biscuit. Almost worth the price of a fender.

Take a look at Tim Start of High Desert Leather in Arizona. This guy is awesome. I had him make a holster for my Blackhawk a few years ago. It was a very strange request but I had him make a traditional leather holster for a single action but I had him make the two straps on the back so that you could thread a belt through OR attach it to MOLLE gear. Oh yeah! It was awesome and I have used it for years and it has been great. I had him tool some personal effects on the holster because the pistol it carries is rather precious to me. Well, on of the snaps broke and I was at a loss to find a replacement. Nothing on Sleezebay or local hobby stores. I sent him and Email and he would fixed himself if I had sent the holster back but I didn't mind replacing the snap myself so he sent me a replacement snap. Instead of one he sent me several. Awesome. SO many people don't stand behind their stuff after they have your money and even fewer people stand behind it after any implied warranty expires. A few snaps may not be a big deal to some but for what I paid for the holster [a good bit] I wouldn't dream of having a snap that didn't match. Anyway, just wanted to relate. Give him a look. He's pretty quick on the email reply. Turnaround time for custom work is very quick. http://highdesertleather.com/index.html Tim Start High Desert Leather

Gotta agree with you on Godsmack. Add in some Halestorm too. They opened for Godsmack earlier this year at the Bridgestone. Best concert I ever been to. Toss in some Firewind and I'm ready to go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmkHqUwa4zg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHy-OVlijsQ
