1. There's more vendors than that lists. Be nice to have a full list.
2. Tout all the new humety whatchamacallit super short belted goofball magnum this or that you like but THIS is probably the best commercial development in chamber offerings in many moons. I'll tell you what I want to see. A Ruger gunsite rifle just like the 308 only chambered in 300 BLK and let it use a 20 round AR magazine that you can feed from the top using 10 round NATO stripper clips or detach the magazine like an AR. That would be my dream rifle.

4.
Did anybody ever find out what the hell club/range is being talked about or are we just supposed to guess?
I fairly certain it's one of our premier sponsors and since this thread does nothing to positively promote them, I'll not name them. If i assume correctly, the place in question is new, top shelf and run by a very stand up man.
5.
$400 means exclusivity.  It is all about the clientele you are fishing for.  The Charlie Haffner range is the best deal around here IMO but it can really pack out.  If you have a range and want to bring in only people of a certain affluence, then you charge more.  This is your filter and it keeps the range less crowded.  400 bucks is too rich for my blood for a range membership, but I have a buddy who would drop that without a second thought just for the exclusivity.
Not to mention the super cool lounge area and central heat and air. I love Charlie. He's a dear friend and I will never stop shooting there but it gets colder than a well diggers butt some days. He's done so much over what the Owl Hollow crew did. Bless him.
6.
Dolomite,   I have seen several members here that have gotten into the 300 Blackout.  I am not familiar with this round.  Can you give the lowdown on what exactly this round is?
223 case opened up to .30 caliber. It is the ballistic equivalent of. 7,62x39. Difference is, the pronounced taper of the soviet round is no longer a problem. That's why you have those godawful walrus tusk looking magazines in an AR to get the '39 to feed. The only thing you need to convert an AR is a barrel. Magazines and BCG stay. Careful handloads and lightweight bullets can get into 30/30 territory but where it really shines is with a super heavy slow moving bullet. For e non casters out there, a 208g Amax from the BLK is DEVASTATING!!!
7. One advantage a wool blanket has over the sleeping bag is when it gets wet. What if you fell in water or it's pouring rain? Wool will insulate even when wet. Ohh, that reminds me of something else you need. One or two of those super heavy drum liner trash bags. You can build a shelter from them, OR like we did in Boy Scouts, cut out arm and head holes and wear it like a rain poncho. It will go over you AND your pack. A wide brimmed hat will keep the rain from running down your neck.
8. I bought one at Academy Sports. It was something to the tune of $50-75. There's cheaper ones, but it's water dude. It's like air, food and beer. A human male cannot survive without it.
9. Well, we didn't need more proof but I just busted this myth this morning. Using 22 stingers, I took my new secret Santa gift, a sling shot and started shooting live ammo at a concrete block. Tried a coup,e dozen times before I got one to pop. Sounded like those paper ball Chinese snapping things you buy for kids. Bullet was on the ground, half the case was blown out. If people are going to make up lies to cover their blunders they should at least make them believable.
10. Man, he woulda been a good president.
11.
There is nothing like a pez to keep my spirits up.  I have a yoda pez despenser with pez I need to put in my pack.
Just don't mix it up with the one filled with Lortabs. LOL Just kidding, although I know people who do that. Sad.
12. Is there something in the tax code that says you have to shoot there? If you don't like it, stop going. As far as cleaning house? I doubt it. There's not as much meat on the bone as people believe. You can't get get a can of vancamps pork and beans for a dime anymore either.
13. I've hit 22s with a hammer as a kid. Proof God watches out for stupid children. All they ever was ring the heck out of my ears. I used set 30/30 cases in between rocks and shoot at the primers with a 22 as a kid too. Usually the bullet would be within a foot or two of where I stuck it. I'm calling BS too.
14. Candy. Vacuum seal or ziplock a bit of your favorite candy. I'm a candy fiend anyway, but you'd be surprised how much a moral booster a cherry lifesaver is. Orange pez, sweetarts, a pack of Mambas, some Spree. Keep it hard candy, you'll probably regret a pack of gummy bears when that .... gets all gooey. Don't go overboard, it'll play hell on your thirst. BUT, keeping your sugar up for the couple of days youre marching will do wonders. Katadyn water filters are pricey but not quite as costly as dysentery from poorly filtered water. Probably wouldn't kill you in three days but who wants to show up to mom & dads house with a screamin case of the squirts?
15. Good light tomorrow, I'll make it a priority.
16.
We could go to their house and leave them a nasty mean note; Metalhead does have the addresses after all.
You bring up an interesting point. While going to their house would be a bad idea, a very well written letter would certainly be in order.
17. Oh ......oh man......brothers, bow your head in silence with me. I wiped the bridge of the rifle down with chalk so my horrible eyes could read it. It's dated 1940. It's stamped VKT. It was Finnish. No wonder the trigger is so good and the blueing was nice. Shame and pestilence to the bastage that did this! Now, matters are worse. I want it restored more now than ever. Chances of finding an appropriate stock and bolt body? Slim. Chances of monkeys flying out of my butt? Probably better than finding the right wood, bolt and accoutrememnts.
18. Picked up a 91/30 mosin today. It's a hex receiver. The bore is just nasty. The rifling is strong so it's hopeful. I will clean it tomorrow and plan on shooting paper patched cast bullets through it. For those who don't know, a paper patch bullet will lap some of the worst bores into a mirror with time. It has a synthetic stock(gag!) and bubba has really had his way with the old gal. He butt raped the bolt handle. I've gotta get some pictures up, it's BAD! Anyway, numbers don't match and even if they did, they won't once I replace the bolt body. I'm considering going full on sporter with it since going back would be very difficult by the time I track down the rit stock, hand guard and sling. I'm thinking a really nice Richards Microfit stock and a scope mount either made by me or an older classier one machined to fit. I've talked bad about her, but she has so e good qualities too. The blueing is extremely good with no rust at all. The trigger is surprisingly good. The bolt face has no pit ring either! It's very clean and smooth. The chamber looks spotless after I forced a paper towel in there. The barrel is too crusty to see the throat. I actually hope it's slightly eroded so I have some room to work in there. Cast bullets work well with a roomy throat as long as my bullet diameter is big enough. I will show this rifle so e care and attention either way. I have a 235g cast bullet it is going to LOVE! I also have a 230g cast bullet that drops undersized that I will be paper patching for. I've got to get some pics of the makers marks up too. Be nice to know where it was made.
19. I Wonder what the media will say if there's an attempted shooting there but the only one dead is the shooter. I'd laugh if the teacher called out they had a gun AFTER they fired the shot. Stress will make you do weird things. LOL
Anyone know where I can get a date for this?
....if I wasn't married, I'd go out with it. I'm sure there's some single person on here that'd take it out and show it a good time though.
21. I'm sure you love the dog so I understand you will NOT like my solution, but a training collar works. I had to use it on mine. I bout one with different levels to it. One through eight. I shocked myself on six and swore I'd never do that to him, and never did. I never used it above four. The collar is now junk and here's why. I used it for a few months periodically, keeping it well charged. His behavior changed fast. I mean really fast. So, I quit charging it, when he'd misbehave I'd get the collar and shake it at him using a reprimanding tone in my voice. He'd go gettin his dog house and I wouldn't see him for an hour. I stopped actually putting it on him. I can get ANY orange collar and show it to him without saying a word and he will go lay down somewhere and not show his face for a time. Now, I can't tell, you where the charger or the remote is because I have lost them. I don't need them. I don't really need the collar for that matter but I can show it to him when he gets rowdy and I can hear him saying, "you know, I got something else to do over there and I'm going to go do it, if you need me just call, bye bye!" I NEVER enjoyed making him ride the lightning but it works. If you really love the dog, use it on your arm before you use it on him and I will guarantee you will never abuse the power.

23. I don't care if LA implodes on itself. The only reasoni would hate to see this is it gives them ideas and designs on other places as well. If comiefornia wants to slit its wrist, I feel we are obliged to stand by while it bleeds out.
24. I'm hoping we go over it without even pumping the brakes. Time the lazy, useless idiots of this country felt the pinch.
25. I get them from time to time too. Sometimes I pitch them, some times I shred them for packing excelsior. .
