I try my darnedest to be one of those guys. God knows those guys have done it for me. A fine TGO'er gifted me a like new stok set this weekend for my rifle. Wouldn't take a dime. I noticed our pay it forward thread kind of died. But did it? I know of a LOT of paying it forward that goes on around here unnoticed. I've traveled around the Internet forum scene. There ARE NO FINER PEOPLE to be found than right here. Period. Even the jerks are good people that you can trust in a pinch. Usually on any other forum you have Aholes that can't be reasoned with. I have found even those here who argue like little children and have to have daddy David step in to mediate, are very great people. This does not include the occasional troll, although no other site I ever been on has done so well with them. Our moderators all carry a +5 two handed vorpal bastard sword of troll slaying. (AD&D term).

Shhhh! Don't tell everybody. Handi rifles and mil surp bolt actions in odd calibers are going for a song! I picked up a slightly bubba'd (currently under restoration) Finnish M91 Mosin for $85.

I don't get it? I'm seeing a rim fire version of the .17 Remington only I can't reload it.

Denny's Manager Bans Police from Restaurant While Armed
Caster replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Its one thing to tell a private citizen you'd prefer them not to carry, but a cop!? Can he even do that? I know very few people who can disarm a cop. A judge can order a cop to remove his weapon in a court room and I am fairly certain a school principle has the authority as well. A Denny's manager? -
Why? Because he exercised his rights?
No, because they are respecting his decision. He doesn't want armed cops in his establishment. Well by god let him sleep in the bed he makes. If I were a cop I would ask. If I'm not trustworthy to have my weapon here while I'm eating your greasy slop dog food, why would I all the sudden be worthy when you have an emergency? No! Let this guy get robbed and when he cries for help, tell him to go hump a rock. -

When he calls 911, they should refuse to respond. -
I think, if you're listing ten plastic magazines with a total combined value of less than $200 for over $20K, there's no subterfuge going on. It's evident. Obvious. As such, I don't feel ones moral compass need feel misguided. The dealers and vendors who are doubling or tripling prices are the real scumbags here. Private individuals, not so much. A fool and his money are soon parted. Would I be so evil to help expedite the process? I dunno. I won't know either because I have what need, I don't need any more. And as of late, I don't even want any more. Ive lost my taste for semi auto rifles anyway. Not to say I don't stand full face against ANY legislation against them, I certainly do. I was talking to a close friend the other day about this price gouging. We agree that for people with OUR tastes, it's been good actually. The demand for semi autos has driven DOWN the cost of many other types of guns. Deals are out there for bolt action, lever actions and single shot rifles. Especially in obscure calibers. People are hocking off stuff at bargain prices to fund their desire for black rifles and necessary accoutrements. Some of us have yet to feel the pinch.
Ridiculous.
Depends on who you are. Buyer or seller? I bet a cash offer of 20 large for stack of your magazines would result in big smiles. I know I'd be grinning ear to ear.

If your "woman" wants to leave or uses leaving as a threat, yall need to let them. Unless her mate is a lowlife, lazy unemployed, cheatin' man-whore; no lady worth having would use that as leverage. A woman that would is no lady and not worthy of trust.....and if there's no trust in your mate, you are exponentially better off without them.

Another thought. If the physical aspect of ones relationship is so powerful that it can save or destroy the ties that bind the two together, I question the validity of that relationship to begin with. You could remove, permanently, any form of physical love from my marriage and it would prosper just as well and have NO influence on fidelity whatsoever. Reason being, my wife is worth more to me than the sum of her......parts. A good woman is not a life support for a vagina.
-
I would pity folks for these circumstances if I cared enough. So glad me and the wife have never had anything but complete agreement in this area.

There were a couple of companies working on an AR in 22 mag. Kind of a waste of time IMO, but if you make it, people will buy it.
Now see, all this time I thunk he did the deed with this kind of sling blade (which might be more brutal than using the other kind)--
I don't know, might not be too bad. Carl was a fairly tall looking fella and pretty strong. I guess it'd depend on where he hit you first. Now, Gary Coleman trying to kill you with one could get pretty painful.

Have you had any backlash because you are a gunner?
Not exactly the same and months before CT I was at Kroger wearing a T Shirt that says "zombie hunter" on the back. A guy says to me as he's walking by "how many zombies have you killed?" with a sarcastic tone. I quickly replied with "none, zombies aren't real". He wasn't ready for that and ducked his head and moved on.
Ahh yes, telling people the truth, to their face no less. It confuses them every time. -
That last picture is called a Lively Lad.
-
Mmmmmhmm, some folks calls it a sling blade, I call it a kaiser blade. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sAgSUFT4cVk
-
There's a Grendel R-31 on gunbroker right now that would probably suit you.
-
I got a couple myself. Darn right they're heavy and wouldn't be all that good for zombies. If you failed to cleave the through, the blade could easily get embedded and be difficult to remove. How tired would a fella be after a few hours of choppin walkers with one of them? Wheew!!!!

Gotta do whatcha gotta do.

My usual reply I keep on standby; If I wanted to hear from an Ahole, I'll fart. -
I've been buying PRIMED Lake City brass from David for about that much.

Yep me too. Try clicking more reply options before you click "post". For so e reason if I use the quick reply, I get the same message but if I preview the message first, it goes through. No idea why.
