1. When I store rice I use quart ziplock bags. I fill the bag but do NOT seal the ziplock. I put the ziplock into a foods aver bag and vacuum seal it. Now it will keep longer AND when I do actually open it, I have a way to close it back while I consume the contents. By dating each vacuum sealed bag I can rotate inventory. If you've got 50 lbs in one container, that sucks because how you gonna eat that much and keep it sealed up. Hard to rotate large amounts.
2. I never served so I don't know squat about it but this doesn't jive with some of the Marines I have for customers. According to them, they shoot......a LOT. I had a customer [who has since moved away] that had several tattoos. I noticed one that looked similar to this: I never asked him specifically what he did. I got the impression he was not inclined to talk about things too much and I didn't want to pry. From what he DID actually volunteer, he's fired more rounds than you could haul in a dump truck. Nicest guy I've ever met. I got a funny feeling he was not a person I'd wanna poke with a stick though.
3. I don't wanna insult any teachers but it'd be easier to train an SRO to teach than to train a teacher to engage a hostile enemy.   Now I'm not saying an SRO could teach physics or anatomy and physiology but hell, anyone can be a gym teacher.  If your SRO isn't in good enough shape to teach gym, then that person shouldn't be an SRO!  Pay them to mop up hurl and lung butter.  Empty the trash.  Have them teach some lame subject like Agriculture or equally low tech subject.  Teacher's aid, hall monitor, whatever. Double duty would enable the budget to pay them MORE and the more you pay an SRO the more that person will stick with the job.
4. Get a chronograph.  It's the only way to load this powder safely.  It is a spectacular powder.  It can get hot FAST.  If you think you know where to start, back off another 10% and work up from there.
5. No change for me.  I haven't bought factory ammo in so long........   All this panicking BS is just retarded.  THis is why I worked for years to put stuff away.  It's also why I spend an hour in the reloading room every morning before work.     If anything, I have actually been shooting more since around September.
6.     Hmph!  You never take me anywhere! :drama:  :drama:  :drama:
7. A whole solar system? Dude, you have one huge garage!
8.
No kids in my house. I always keep one close, but the rest are locked in the safe. All my Glocks stay chambered, even if they're locked up. If the hair is up on the back of my neck for some reason, there's an AR close as well.
Same here. No kids. Never will. I will say for those of you with kids, keep them locked up tight. BUT don't hide them. My old man kept his handguns hidden. Needless to say,I found them and knowing full well it was wrong, I played with them often. I was staying home by myself by the time I was 12 and I tell you, a 12 year old has NO business running around the woods with a 357. I did. Thankfully I didn't hurt myself or anyone else. I only did it because I wasn't allowed to see them. Had I been allowed to see them I wouldn't have cared enough to find them and boost them for their supposed secure location. Don't hide them people. It's not the gun it's the mystery that get kids in trouble.
9.
The "left wing hippy commies" you're talking about fighting against won't be doing the fighting.  When it comes to that, they'll be sending in the troops to put down the rebellion.
This is VERY true and there will be those who "just follow orders" but......how many. More importantly, how many will refuse? I have several customers who currently serve and none of them will abide. Likewise, I know several local LEOs ;state, county and city. I don't know a cop will knock on my door, provided I am not threat to the community. To the contrary, I DO know several LEOs will probably show up asking......can reload this brass for me? The idea of a second civil war is FAR more complicated than most could ever understand. Worst case scenario I still don't see wide spread combat. I see small skirmishes and long lines drawn. Those lines will turn to walls and guarded borders. I'm wrong about everything else I talk about, I'm likely wrong here too.
10. We say that, and most of me agrees but there is one thing that may keep it from being so bloody. England was a powerhouse. The left wing hippy commies? Not so much. They're like a dog whose been beat into submission, they'll just roll of and pee all over the place. I'm not deluded to think there will be no resistance at all but most of it will be laughable. You're still very much right though, cuss and argue as long as you can. It keeps your children alive and gives everyone more time to ferret away more "stuff".
11. That's good for that boy though. Learning bravery and acquiring the balls to what is necessary cannot be accomplished over night. Kings to your boy for manning up for his old man and his sister. When your a crusty old fart in a nursing home somewhere that'll be a great story for reminiscing. "Hey pops, remember when.............."
12.
Troublemaker.
Hey, it's just....."What a fool believes."
13. To me, it's as stupid as a neutral safety switch on a transmission. If you ain't got no more sense than to start you car in drive, maybe you shouldn't be drivin. Glocks don't need safeties. Only responsible owners.
14.
Did you go see David at the show? He sold me about all I could carry.
David has that effect on people. I've seen many a TGO'er walking strained from David's table. I've helped a few carry it using two wheelers when I happened to be there. I usually make his table my first and last stop. First to say hello and stake my claims. Last to pick it up and waddle out the door with it!
15. I would be more concerned with the bases. That last pic is an unacceptable base. They must be square, sharp cornered.
16. Fifth third bank in fairview has one. I use it from time to time.
17. Yet another reason I never drink in public. I drink at home, alone. When I leave home I am dead sober and armed. Kinda makes you think huh? Could have been you and the wife in there ten minutes earlier.
18. Yes   Hell yes.   Won't find it cheaper or from a nicer guy than this one^^^^^^^^
19. This is Boba. He was a rescue. Forgive the cliche but he really IS a junkyard dog. He came from a nearby wrecking yard. That group of Aholes lost their lease and were going to kill him and throw him in a hole where they were burying trash. He came to me, I've had him ever since. They used to kick him and be mean to him. When I found him, the chain he was on weighed more than he did. 12 mos old and weighed around 30lbs. Well Aholes, If you guys ever wanna kick him again, I'll let you. I'll go in the house and promise NOT to get involved. Go in his pen and kick him now! Later that afternoon, I'll get a mop and clean up what's left of you. People who abuse dogs deserve a slow death. It took time, but we come to an understanding. That understanding grew to the best friend I got. I swear, he'd jump off a cliff if I ask him to. I once snapped my fingers and told him to jump into the middle of a pile of tires. I was just screwing around and would have never thought he'd actually do it. He bailed off in the middle of them and busted his ass. I felt really bad, he got a couple McDoubles from McDonald's and I doubt he holds it against me. He's never mentioned it. Anyway....Here's my buddy. 80lbs of faithful retard. I no like you pinch a da cheeks!
20. GOd almighty damn! I hate social security.  I might would turn in one of my assault rifles to see that system collapse.  Thankfully, a little patience and I believe I'll get to see it for free.  Filthy socialists, get out of my pocket you theivin' bastages.

Smith Vs Bersa

Smith all the way.  If I were not invested so in Glock, I'd be carrying a 3913 right now.  If I ever find one when I have the cash, I'll still buy it and carry it.  I miss the older generation of Smith autos.  THey were kinda heavy but they were WELL built.
22. Another option, stop by a machine shop and ask if they have a Wire EDM.  If so, ask for a length of scrap wire.  They range in size from .0015 on up.  THey sell the used wire for scrap but I'm sure they'd give a foot or two for nothing.
23. yeaaahhhh....I can see that sliver of glass in the palm of my hand and a shoe full of port.
24. I know an old fella who replaced his with a hair from his grand daughter.  Young girls usually have very fine hair.  I wouldn't want the job of trying to get it in there straight though.
