  1. Pistol on the hip, rifle behind the seat. Pass on the shotgun. If you end up having to hump it all the way home, shotguns are too limiting. Bulky, heavy ammo and limited range. I'll take a rifle any day.
  2. After a CETME, a Galil, and a couple AKs I just gave up on Century. The Galil had over .010 too much headspace. It's not a matter of fit and finish. It's a matter of out of spec parts and assembly. They really are the retards of the gun world. Are ALL of their guns junk....no, of course not. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.
  3. Look for Century Arms. If they built it....leave it. Backwater cess pools and third world countries have all built AKs that work just fine. Century Arms seems to be about the only one who can screw up building an AK on a regular basis.
  4. What's funny, you scoot over next door to New Zealand and crime plummets. Their gun laws are stricter than ours in lots of ways but manageable. They are not bound by barrel length laws and are kinda encouraged to use suppressors, which aren't regulated. Semi automatics and handguns are mildly painful to acquire but doable. The biggest gripe I have is absolutely no provision for carry. I know a few people down there and they say it's not needed if you stay outta the big cities. Everyone is laid back. Australia could actually be a WONDERFUL place to be if they weren't so stupid about gun laws.
  5. Don't have an effective safety?? That stupid. If you pull the bolt knob and give it a turn to put the rifle on SAFE it's very solid and positive. It may be difficult for weak fingered shooters to manipulate but it's extremely effective.
  6. Wouldn't it be a fairly simple thing in the long run to just pack them away until things are settled? Out of sight, out of mind. If they were all locked up in the garage for instance, you could honestly tell them there's no guns in the house. When the kid is yours free and clear, back to business as usual. It may not sit well with your sense pride and patriotism but sometimes we have to do things we don't like to move forward.
  7. Yeah I get what you're saying but I shoot 300 blackout and 308 Winchester for about the same as .22 now. It one of the main reasons I don't shoot or own rimfires.
  8. Meh, suits me. I'd like to see some prices fall. There's some guns I'd really like to be able to afford. The ammo situation is only a problem for the lame ducks who didn't ferret away the things they should have; And/Or didn't learn to roll their own.
  9. Start listing them here. We wanna see whatcha got. Priced reasonably, they won't last long. So? Whatcha got!?!??
  10. If I don't see a warrant, we trade fire. End of story. You're not coming in without warrant or invitation. If I die in the process so be it.
  11. I do wonder why they didn't just back an armored truck up to that boat and drag his happy ass to jail. LOL Seriously, why do they tip toe in the tulips at every scene? I'm not very educated so I guess they have their reasons. I've seen foreign police videos though. When Israeli police go after a wanted person who is on the run....well, they don't use a megaphone to holler "come out with your hands up. " Don't even mention Russia! LOL. No I don't wanna live in a place like that but they have a point. When you've been told by the authorities to give up, and you don't, why should they try to be nice about it? I suppose its a good thing though, abuse of power is already a problem. I just don't know why one 19 year old kid could cause that many grown TRAINED men to have such pause. I wasn't there, I have no training or experience and it's easy for me to say such things but it seems like they shoulda moved in quick, in the dark (that's what night vision is for!) snatched him outta there, pulled off their tactical belt and whooped his ass all the way to the nearest squad car. I don't k ow what disgusts me more, the bottom feeding vultures in the media, or the whole country's lust for excessive drama.
  12. Well, it's over. They got him. They've been talking for the last five minutes and haven't said anything. The media is quite proficient at wasting time. I bet they yap BS for the next hour.
  13. Watching NBC now....I'm gonna be a mad sum beech if they interrupt Grimm over this stupid crap. Dude is in a boat! Hook a truck to it and drag his ass to jail! The media is ten times more disgusting than any murderer, bomber, killer etc. they THRIVE on this stuff. I swear they get aroused at the thought of reporting these things.

    Large dog toys

As long as your dog has had all his vaccinations, toss him a couple left wing hippies to chew on.
  15. Nikon makes the best glass out there without breaking the bank.  IMHO.
  16. Pimpin'!!!!!!
  17. A suit?!? Ain't never been nowheres I couldn't get by on a nice pair of jeans and a clean t shirt.
  18. Sizing die. I prefer Lee push though sizers though I usually have to lap them open to the size I want.
  19. The writers for The Walking Dead need to change the intro  Erik Calderone ROCKS!!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUTei9nywY0&list=UUtJVZjY6xsZUV-sYdcIFpZw&index=1

  21. You cannot push a cast bullet fast enough from a 45 acp to have a need for a really hard lead. Remember PROPER FIT IS EVERYTHING!! If your bullet is properly sized so as to ensure a total seal in the bore, and you are using a decent lube to take up any slack in that seal you will not see any leading. I can push a 230g cast lead bullet about as fast as you can safely push it and do it with dead soft lead. Almost pure lead. The bullet I use in my 45 acp falls from the mold .454 and I size it to .453. As long as it will chamber, you're good. 99.9% of all leading issues stem from improperly fitted bullets. THAT'S the reason commercial cast bullets SUCK. My 300 blackout slugs around .3089-.309. I size them to .311 because that fills the throat and makes certain I don't get any gas cutting.

    Savage Model 99

Ohh, I want it. I love 99's. If ever you wanna part with it. Me or Greg will be very happy to relieve you of it.
  23.     Any number of things.  Smokeless powder makes a terrible explosive...because its NOT an explosive.  Its a precision propellant.  Big difference.  If making an IED, black powder would work MUCH better.     Not to start a bunch of tin foil hat nonsense but I could see some left wing trash doing this with the sole purpose of making private powder sales illegal.
  24. Obviously yall never seen the calendar they offer in every shotgun news ad.
  25. I'd want some sort of retention while riding a motorcycle but that's just me.
