Ain't that the truth. Many folks are having very good results. I keep waiting for the word to go out ....BIG UH-OH!! Nothing yet. We may really have something here. I've been slow to get involved. Admittedly for the reason I just mentioned. Dolomite being a good friend, I'm putting his trials and tribulations to work for me. When he gets it perfected, I'll ride the coat tail of his labors. LOL He'll get it perfected cuz that's just how he is. Then I'll play the copy cat game. Kinda low down I know. I'll send him some more boolits for his trouble

I betcha they'd work great!

Those little 100 grainers are going in my contender 30/30. We'll see about this 'no leading' claim when I run them a touch over 2K fps. I recently discovered my contender is a 1/14 twist so it's gonna love these shorter boolits. To make up for e lack of mass, ill just have to drive the piss out of em. If they're ever gonna lead, I'll find out.

Seriously though, Harp, I would go for the 21 if it were me.

Yeah, brotherly love is dish best served cold.

Does it really matter? You'll just sell it six months from now.

I've shot with him a bit. I have one of his handguns. He was a really cool guy.

I was gonna buy one but casting more than a magazine full would cost me my whole lead inventory.

That was Marshall Dozier. He used to be president of Owl Hollow gun club. R.I.P. Marshall

Here's a 7x12 I made. All seams are machine sewn, sealed with RTV silicone and covered in duct tape. Corners were reinforced with duct tape and then I put in brass grommets. These things HAVE to be washed thoroughly to make the tape stay in place but if you get it clean, it's there. THis is a seriously tough tarp given it's made from trash. Always buy your dog food in the plastic woven bags, not paper. Never cut them open. Take the time to unstitch them. When you save several, you can use some duct tape to make some very good tarps or even tents. I have a buddy who saves horse feed bags for me. Yes you can buy them at harbor freight but that's everyone's problem nowadays. MAKING things yourself teaches you to use your hands. The more you make yourself, the more things make sense to you. Take a man who makes everything he can by himself and you'll see a man who can make things work in a pinch. Even if he's never done a certain thing before. The best survival tools you have were given to you by Gods design. One sits between your ears and the other two are attached to your wrists. Exercise them and you'll be much better for it. A so called survivalist that bought all his kit off the Interwebz will be long dead before the man who actually practices bushcraft the old fashioned way.

I hate this 'game' we have to play politically but it's hard to get away from it. In that case, getting black people on board is really good leverage. We obviously can't convince the left that we all ain't a bunch of bible thumpin' backwards rednecks. Getting some ethnicity in the ranks proves otherwise. It's one of the reasons I really like the JPFO.

Call me when them layin' hens quit layin'. I got a deep fryer and a few gallons of peanut oil...........

What are they for? If they're just for plinking I find a load that will barely cycle the action, then move up about a half a grain for good measure. As long as I get accuracy (and no leading for cast boolits) I never try to push them any further. Why abuse equipment and burn supplies? If you intend to inventory this load for defensive uses that is a whole 'nother ball of wax. What gun are they for? What distance are you shooting? Final goal dictates procedure here.

At the risk of sounding lazy, go check out my 'lead thread' in the reloading social group. I don't know much about the 38 super but I bet you Unique will get you satisfactory results. If ANYONE doesn't have Unique in their inventory, go buy it! It doesn't do anything perfect but it'll do a decent job with anything. I mean anything. I've loaded 9x19 with it and I currently load 30/30, .308 Winchester and .300 blackout with it. I'll soon be using it to load some cast boolits in my CZ527 chambered in .223. David happens to be an aficionado of .38 Super so if he says slower powders work, that'd be where I begin. Looks like Lil'gun will get you somewhere. Find data at Hodgdons website and start there.

Dang brother, if you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have no luck at all. Keep it clean, take care. If you need anything, gimme a ring.

No one rides in my truck but me. Maybe the wife on rare occasion (when we're out together we take her car) SO, the rules are pretty simple, come home in one piece and don't get a ticket.
-
I'm afraid to stay out that long. I know what will happen. ....i won't come back. It's the same reason I have told the wife we can't take a vacation to Wyoming or Montana or Alaska ETC. I know if I ever get out of here, I will make a few phone calls to my friends I have left behind. "Hey, I left some crap at my house, go get it if you want it. I won't be back for it." Seriously, I'd love nothing more than to vanish amidst a grove of evergreen trees and never come back. You boys have fun.
