The dialogue alone tells me he had no intention of killing this kid. He called the police to come to the scene. He was making arrangements to meet with them. He asked for them to call him as soon as they arrived.

Im taking this from a post I made somewhere else.... The man was a neighborhood watch leader. He did exactly what he was supposed to do. He also felt he could be a better witness if he reported where the individual went. He followed him and lost sight of him. After he was told that he did not have to follow him 90 seconds goes by while he has still not regained sight of TM and was returning to his vehicle to await the police. Sometime after he hung up with the police TM approached and attacked him.

So how do we jump to calling GZ an attacker?

GZ did not chase TM down. He lost sight of him almost immediately, a full 90 seconds after the dispatcher informed him that he did not have to follow TM he ended his call stating that he was walking to his vehicle to meet the police. While enroute to said vehicle TM reappears and engages GZ.  To your second paragraph I don't understand how you come to the conclusion that he was "defending" himself. Seemed to be on the offensive to me.

Or he could have went back to his car and told the officer's it was a big mistake that after speaking with the individual he determined that he was indeed a resident and there was nothing amiss. 

The bold statement reads to me like "might makes right."

I guess we are no longer innocent until proven guilty.

I really think you guys are blowing this whole riot thing out of proportion. I do not think anything widespread will happen.

I am mostly indifferent. I can appreciate the art on most but some I don't care for. I don't feel I have anything that "means something to me" that I would want tattooed onto my body. Now art would be a different thing. I really like the work of a guy over in Europe that goes by the name Xoil. He does some great looking tattoos IMO but I do not have any tattoo. The style is called trash polka.   I did have my ears pierced with 10 gauge earrings and an 8 guage 3/4" barbell in my tongue. I removed them in 2001 though.

The cops didnt have a detainee. They were overwatching and trying to listen to activity down the block. The guy was asked repeatedly to turn his music down. He was asked to turn it down before he even got out of his car. Im with the cops on this one. I would have shot the dog as well.     TMF, are you telling me your team never killed a dog that was attempting to attack one of your guys? Fallujah was crawling with them. After we left I had a friend who was in the Marines during the battle. They had to kill them on sight there were so many.
