  1. Do they have this in TN? I have seen it while out of town for work but not in TN so far. I have to concentrate to say Rural correctly.
  2. Sorry about that. It was fully a trap to try and get a back pedal but I didnt consider the no politics rule when I posted it.
  3. So you think the constitution was wrong and should be updated to modern standards? Tell me more.
  4. So I was lucky and found two facebook groups. One I knew about by going to our family reunion which is held at the Sugarlands visitor center just outside of Cades Cove. They have a huge database of family info because in the early 20th century some of the family started doing all the work for us. They issued quarterly magazines and did a ton of the tracing. I have a book with stories and info. Coincidentally the other side that I know goes much further back also is working on a new book and has one done 60 or more years ago but it's quite expensive on the used market and includes about 4 families from the same area. Their FB group is also very helpful. I went to a reunion in NC year before last and met some people I had only known via FB. That german immigrant I mentioned on the other thread brought a bible with him. The historical society in gastonia has it and sells prints of the illustrations. It was passed down through the family for years and ended up in a branch that doesnt share my name but the history of it is known. So yeah my suggestion would be to check for FB groups... hopefully your last name isnt jones, johnson, smith, or the like. Also, many libraries have ancestry.com memberships and are even accessible through their website. A friend of my wife is the head librarian at a library in AL and she tipped me to that one. The LDS Church has done a ton of work for all of us by cataloging people that they can baptize after death. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptism_for_the_dead
  5. I have no hesitation buying a jeep. I wish I could advise on cost for a TJ. I'd prefer a Rubicon model if I had the choice as it comes with lockers from the factory.
  6. We bought my daughter a 4runner. I have a jeep. Make whatever you want of those two facts.
  7. I dont think it tells what it purports to. It more tells where people with your DNA markers are now.
  8. The government doesnt "bailout" the USPS. The USPS isnt a business. We dont expect the Defense dept to pay for itself do we? No, because it's a service. Does the dept of Interior? Agriculture? DOT? Services.
  9. Certainly possible. I happen to have done some genealogy and have tracked my family name. George Adam Kastner 1698-1767. Originally from the Southern Rhine Country in Germany emigrated to the colonies through Pennsylvania and finally setting along the South Fork River in Gaston County, North Carolina. My Great Grandmother's family, the Sparks, were from Cades Cove. I can support my "heritage" while not flying any sort of confederate trash because they remained loyal.
  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secession_in_the_United_States#:~:text=In Texas v. White (1869,lead to a successful secession.
  11. Go use UPS or FEDEX if you want private carriers. Ill stick with the government service at the USPS.
  12. They pick that flag because they are still wishful of the time in which they were able to hold people in bondage. Nothing else makes any sense. There are plenty of years before or after to celebrate "heritage" yet for some UNKNOWN reason the 4 years in which the treasonous secessionists had their way before being smacked back into line seems to be their favorite period to love... why could that be?
  13. He doesnt have a right to carry that flag there... he doesnt have a right to even be there. That is why he is in jail.
  14. Be proud of the generation before the rebellion?
  15. Speaking of shipping.... I got a box today shipped via UPS. A monitor (no longer functioning). Sent from CA. The individual wrapped the screen in the small bubble wrap. One layer. Saran wrapped that. One maybe two layers. Threw it into a box about 4 or 5 times too large with a couple of those little filler pillow bags and a couple pieces of foam on two of the four corners of the monitor. Inside of this to fill the top area they threw some of that long brown paper which did absolutely nothing to stop this monitor and it's base from bouncing all across the country. Pretty unbelievable. I have submitted to return the monitor hopefully it goes through no problem. I checked their reviews and looks like they did this to someone else who got theirs refunded on Jan 10th.
  16. I have been using USPS for years for packages. Domestic and international. Mostly coming to me but a few times a year going out. I have never had trouble like I have had since probably October of 2020 to now.
  17. We've been saying this in Nashville area for a decade.
  18. Was it during this peaceful talk on the mezzanine? The title of that post is incorrect. They drag out a different officer. This thread discusses the search for the men who beat him. what about this one?
  19. "A friend who was at the Capitol Wednesday said Rosanne Boyland was pinned to the ground and trampled during a violent clash between rioters and police."
  20. Can you ask your sources to point some of these antifa out in photographs?
  21. The part about the no fly lists isnt fact. The people who were removed from flights were refusing to wear masks if you go to teh original posts of the videos.
  22. https://medium.com/curiouserinstitute/a-game-designers-analysis-of-qanon-580972548be5 Give that a read.
  23. What is to be investigated about her death? It's on video. She went somewhere she was not allowed to go and they were clearly authorized to use lethal force to stop people from going there. The officer is on admin leave.
  24. One woman was shot by plain clothes Capitol Police when she tried to enter the Speaker's Lobby where US Representatives were still present. One man had a stroke and died. He had driven others to the rally and they found out when he didnt show up to drive them home at the allotted time and place. One man had a heart attack. One woman who was photographed with a dont tread on me flag was trampled to death. Not a joke.
  25. I was really hoping this was just a joke... for his family at least.
