This member pm’ed me one day, just out of the blue, and asked for my phone number. I’ve no idea why, but he did, and he began to calm every week or two. I’m not a social person by any stretch, but I don’t mind having an adult conversation now and again. It was sad last year when I learned he passed. I wouldn’t mind hearing from him again. There are a couple more members who no longer post here I’d like to hear from again as well. I’m not sure what happened to them. Perhaps I’m not as anti social as I thought. I don’t really know why I posted this, but I can tell you there’s some pretty good folks lurking on these pages if you get to know them.18 points

Bought this new in 1982. It's in really nice shape considering its 43 years old! Used it for metallic silhouette matches and challenging squirrel hunts. It has an 8 3/8" barrel, factory target grips, target hammer and target trigger. As all older Smiths, a really clean, light trigger pull. It has a recessed cylinder and partridge front sight. There is slight holster wear near the muzzle which I tried to show. $1000 for me to part with this safe queen, sorry, not interested in trades, shrinking my collection.11 points

So for the last few months I’ve been working towards a production manager job at work, and in Late January it became all but imminent that as long as I didn’t screw the pooch it would be mine when it opened up. So to celebrate the fact I went ahead and put in a call to American Classic Gunleather for a BBQ rig to go with the classy N frame I had for it. The gun is a 25-5 4” smith in .45 Colt wearing Culina Claro Walnut grips, and the leather is American Classic Gunleather legend Holster, with a full floral carved belt and 6 round slide to match. I couldn’t be more ecstatic at how they turned out and they showed up on the same day as my final interview for the position. So Cheers to all of you on this fine Saturday!10 points

And when they or anyone else does, I’ll laugh at them for calling it an “insurrection”. Was it wrong? Yeah. But it’s silly to claim that it was substantively worse than sustained nightly attacks on cities during the previous summer. There was a months long nightly siege of federal buildings like the federal courthouse in Portland where they repeatedly attempted to burn it down with people inside of it. They set fire to St. John’s Episcopal AKA “America’s Church” across the street from the white house. So no, I’ve never gotten too worked up about what was mostly an unguided tour where the only person who died was shot by Capitol Police.10 points

Since DataRepublican found out about all the Federal money being sent to liberal organizations, and DOGE put a stop to a lot of those money transfers, there hasn't been as much money to hire protesters and bus them around the country.9 points

Folks like to talk smack about Memphis and it being a leftist hive in the state. There is some amount of truth to that, however, Memphis is not Portland, Seattle, or NYC. They don’t go for that “burn down our own home” crap. Didn’t do it in 2020, ain’t gonna do it now.9 points

This post inspired me and I just talked to that OG TGO rascal and good shootin’ buddy for the first time in quite a few months. We all need to meet up sometime. Thanks for posting this @gregintenn.7 points

AuEagle and I texted almost daily and talked about once a week. Can't tell you how many times I could be having "one of those days" and I'd get a text from AuEagle out of the blue saying "Praying for you buddy". Man I do miss him.6 points

Yes. It was a protest turned riot. But if we compare and contrast with any of the riots that roared throughout the entire 2020 Summer of Love, it was a very minor one in terms of injuries, deaths, and property damage.6 points

I purchased this some years ago and used it in cowboy action side matches. Extremely accurate and fun to shoot. Barrel length (measured) is 32 inches. The rear elevator sight is a Shaver which I believe was an add on. The front sight appears to be a Lyman. The rifle is in good shape however the buttstock has some discoloration from what may have been a solvent soaked rag being left on it. (Wasn’t me) I tried to capture this in the pictures. As I am leaving the 45-70 business, it will include: 45-70 Brass 52 New Starline 170 Fired Starline (de-primed and cleaned) 70 Fired Winchester (de-primed and cleaned) Bullets Approximately (I counted by weight) 1000 mixed variety bullets. All packed separately and tagged with manufacturer and weight etc. Exception. One mystery bag of 100 cast with no brand info. I am close to Lenoir City Just west of Knoxville and willing to travel a reasonable distance for an established TGO member. Quigley is calling your name. Asking $1400 $1200 $1000 for the package – no trades sought at this time. Please PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking.5 points

Just met Shawn and picked this thing up. I'm not in the habit of leaving a review in a thread, but can't help myself (mods, feel free to delete this if it's against the rules). HOLY COW what a beautiful gun. Virtually no turn ring, zero powder burns at the rear, grips look like they just came out of the package, crown is perfect, etc, etc... Thank you sir!4 points

Selling this New in Box Zastava ZPAP M70 AK-47. It's the Cadillac of the AK family. I am only selling it because I have detached rotator cuffs and arthritis, What seemed light 20 years ago is now quite heavy. Comes with one Yugo 30 round bolt hold open magazine. $1100 OBO cash. The only trade I would consider is a Chinese SKS + cash. The perfect SKS would be a matching numbers rifle that is all original. Local pick up in Clarksville. I would be willing to drive as far as Exit 24 on Interstate 24 for a Nashville area buyer. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Zastava ZPAP M70 is a premium Yugo-pattern AK-47 rifle with updated features including a bulged trunnion, stamped receiver, cold hammer forged chrome-lined barrel, and classic walnut furniture. Chambered in 7.62x39, this rifle offers plenty of stopping power in a robust, uber reliable package that is equally well-suited for range use or self defense. It features a convenient bolt hold-open notch on the safety / selector lever, as well as an optics mount on the left side of the receiver. A "services offered, services needed" with locality. In these troubled times of woe and want, it might be nice to support fellow members of the board with their projects or if one were to be a practitioner of said Trade or vocation, might be amenable to providing services for fellow members. Ad example "Wanted in Tullahoma area, well driller for water well". Inversely, "well driller available Tullahoma and 150mi in any direction, call for TGO prices!" I've found this a great way to get good deals, finish projects, avoid taking chances on Facebook flakes, and most importantly SUPPORT FELLOW GUNNIES! Just a thought. In my previous vocation as one of the nation's premier FAL, AK, HK, GALIL, AR builders and firearms refinishers i was able to trade all manner of needed services for my labors, from legal representation to dentistry, BARTER remains untaxable and a great way to exercise independence from the ever-intrusive State. For destroying private property? Shoot em on site for all I care. If we no longer have rule of law, our country is lost. I’ll save you a post. I don’t care if they’re destroying an abortion clinic. My opinion doesn’t change.3 points
