Why not post in the TGO Classifieds? You can list any stipulations you want. You can require a buyer to have been a TGO member for a minimum amount of time, must be a Benefactor, have X number of positive iTrader reviews from long time members, meet at your local police station for the deal, require an HCP and a bill of sale, must communicate via phone call instead of texts/messages, etc. Whatever you want to require. It might limit your buyer pool a bit, but my experience is that folks with a positive history on TGO are on the up and up.5 points

Eight senators have cooked up legislation to give gun buyers who fail the background check a more transparent repeal process. Called the ATF Transparency Act, it focuses on those who get popped because of bureaucratic screwups. GOP Senators Introduce Bill Cutting ATF Red Tape on Background Checks2 points

US Revolver top break 38 S&W in hardwood case with US flag lining. % round, 5 inch barrel. This one functions but I've never shot it. Finish is very weak with some pitting. Needs a good cleaning and a new home as I have no space for display pieces. Inside the case are two Pinkerton and one New York Central Railway badges, three large and three small Pinkerton coat buttons, one painted gold railroad spike. I have one box of vintage ammo and one box of new ammo I will include. I can send higher res pics but I can't resize them to upload to the ad. No documentation but this was someone's retirement remembrance. $300 firm on this, yes you might find one cheaper but not with the extras.1 point

I’m in Spring Hill. Stop by before you get to Gary’s place! I’ve been here since 2005 and Gary Auction has been around longer. It’s a trustworthy spot for just about anything in value. It’s almost cult like for turn outs too.1 point

I am not getting notifications either. The ones I am referring to are when for sale items are posted. Not getting those the last couple of days.1 point

runco mentioned an auctioneer. That's a good bit of advice. If you're interested in that route, Gary Realty & Auction down in Columbia does several gun auctions each year. I've been a winning bidder at several of them and the whole staff is a class act or as we say 'round here: "them's good people". Mostly each auction is from one large collection, but he'll usually do one or two each year from several collections combined. The final bids are usually real solid, but I don't know what the auctioneer's cut is.1 point

I could write a book on meeting someone to buy/sell something, i.e. guns or non-guns in my 50+ years of buying/selling things with individuals. Anyway my 2 cents: If you want top dollar without the parking lot risk, Gunbroker, but that comes with its own challenges. Next is finding a reputable local collector and this site has likely many, next is consignment at a gun shop but make sure you understand the loss risk (fire/theft), next is probably a reputable FFL licensed auction house (farm equipment/antiques/weekly miscellaneous), and at the bottom is gun stores and pawn houses, why is because those businesses are in the business to make a profit off of markup, and like others have said will pay you 50% or less on the dollar because of their time, investment, and knowing the market, etc. However, those are the easiest and you can get paid today. If your parking lot concern is just the general public or being robbed, you can always sell your item(s) at a police station parking lot, I think some jurisdictions have marked safe areas for that purpose. Or if your risk concern is just the legalize of selling a gun, this site offers good sound advice on how to sell, Just go to classifieds and read the stickies. Finally, my last two pieces of advice, never ever sell something from your home address even non-gun related, just the risk you invite is not necessary vs. convenience, and never sell to anyone without a witness (a friend with you), both for added security and needed witness incase of discrepancies.1 point

You have to use a blue label dealer specifically. The dealer locator isn't working on my phone right now so can't see who is around you. See the below links. I believe GT Distributors online will also accept the blue label coupon and ship to your FFL but when I looked into that a couple of years ago it wasn't worth doing because of the extra transfer fee. I have a couple of blue label dealers within an hour drive and use them. https://us.glock.com/en/buy/blue-label-program https://us.glock.com/en/Dealer-Locator-USA#1 point

Nice of you buddy, but I can't either. Back issues and a big family gathering I'm preparing for on Sunday. Just let Sean know, I'm sure he will work with you on this. He's a good man to deal with. I have several times and have been very happy about it.1 point

If i need big and nasty I bring out the bowie. 13" of 1084 hand forged steel, 1/4" spine with lots of weight for big chops and lots of belly so it slices like a saber. But for most task I deal with in the woods or on the farm I can handle with the Case Copperhead in my pocket or the Buck 110 Auto Elite on my belt.1 point

RRS makes a really good trypod, but it's expensive. Two Vets tripod makes a carbon fiber that's cheaper and good. Less expensive. I use this. https://stores.hogsaddle.com/pig0311-g-field-shooting-tripod-od-green/ Cheap and effective. Ball heads are a bit different. RRS anvil 30 is fantastic, but you don't have an independent pan feature. If you're starting off with a trypod, you'll have a learning curve. Kinda ruff on a $1500 trypod. I use this head. https://www.amazon.com/SUNWAYFOTO-XB-52DL-Tripod-Compatible-Profile/dp/B00IYEQMW4?gQT=2 I changed the clamp. It will use arca rail or pic. It's a good rig, but it's heavier than a RRS1 point

Yeah I was over it decades ago (and never really was that into it). I may occasionally have one or two if I’m 50 yards from wherever I’m sleeping that night, but I wouldn’t care if it was suddenly never available again. I don’t see why it’s so necessary for some folks, but I do understand that it does different stuff for different people. Give three guys tequila and one goes to sleep, one has the happiest day of his life, and the third wants to kill everybody. I have little sympathy for whatever consequences the third guy faces unless it’s his first time.1 point

Colt 22 LR Revolver Collector's Items for sale. These are Colt Commemorative models made back in 1960 - 1970's. This set is a matched set with paired serial numbers, one is 22 LR and the other is 22 Magnum. They are Nickel plated with Walnut grips, in a wood case. These guns were meant to be collector's items and they have never been fired, the cylinder has never been rotated and there are no scratches on the cylinder from use. I bought these guns over 30 years ago at a collector gun show. They are now 50 or so years old. I could not track the serial number to get an exact date. Buyer must be legal to own a firearm and willing to show ID for my records. Price is $1500 cash with pick-up in Manchester, TN. Email for questions or more pictures: djparker2010@att.net1 point

I don't believe wheelguns will ever fade away. They're classic, reliable, and easy to shoot. I have all sorts, shapes, and sizes of 9mm edc's. But I still like to carry a .38 Special or .357 every now and then.1 point

Like The mailman, I think they have too many cold range cycles. It seems like I'm just starting to get in a rhythm when they announce "COLD!". But it's usually a pretty good place to shoot 100. I don't know if they allow just anyone to shoot on the 200 yard lanes. It used to be that you had to join with an annual membership but I don't know if that's still the case. IMO, the handgun side is downright dangerous. Too many goobers who have no business being there sweeping the line or worse. The RSOs on that side used to be crazy strict (I assume they still are) but for good reason. Just look up and count the bullet holes in the roof. I don't plan to ever go back to that side. It's the busiest range in the state by a large margin so the RSOs have to be on top of everything.1 point

They have one or two lanes for 200 yds and you have to shoot thru about an 8’ pipe to get to the 200 yd target. There will be times when they do get busy and have a waiting list. Sunday afternoons are probably the busiest times. They can get busy on Saturday also but I would recommend Friday if you can. Of course the nastier the weather the less busy it will be. Probably gets the busiest just before a season opens like deer, turkey etc. or before muzzle loader season opens You can use your own targets but they have decent prices on the ones they sall. Not sure about the size nut you can probably use up to a 12 x 18 anyway. Targets will be mounted with push pins. It’s probably the cheapest show in town. I think they have too many cold range times. I prefer ranges without safety officers but they really do need them on a public range like that.1 point

I no longer carry revolvers, I can't justify it when I can carry an adequate semi that's dependable, holds more ammo, and carries well. That said, I have a 4" Taurus 44 mag that I hunt with that I have been very impressed with. Taurus had really upped their game in the past few years. Before the Taurus I picked up a 6" Dan Wesson .357, it's a lovely gun and a pleasure to shoot, but I quickly found that I don't care for 6" guns when carrying them all day, especially over rough terrain and thick brush. I keep it because it's an excellent shooter, and maybe I'll deer hunt with it some day just because I can. Have I couple of others that are nothing more than range toys, but when it comes down to it, of the half dozen revolvers I own only one really gets used. I would probably own more, for no other reason than I like them, had the prices for a good revolver not gone through the roof the past few years.1 point

I think I am seeing a slight change in what is being produced. A few companies have released or shown all metal versions of poly framed autos. I believe that people who have purchased what old timers consider carry a lot shoot a little pistols find their footing as shooters they will branch out. S&W, Ruger, and Taurus have released new wheel guns over the last 6 months including the single action Deputy from Taurus. I believe they have well educated marketing individuals who are trying to predict (or create) a trend towards revolvers. I only own one modern revolver at this point but there are several on my list of "wanted". Most of what I yearn for are higher end pieces so they don't get the priority of the auto loaders but the want is still there. Single shot break action shotguns haven't died so I don't see revolvers going away ever. rather than edit adding here; some of the "new" revolvers out or coming are the same designs with some little twist.1 point
