If i need big and nasty I bring out the bowie. 13" of 1084 hand forged steel, 1/4" spine with lots of weight for big chops and lots of belly so it slices like a saber. But for most task I deal with in the woods or on the farm I can handle with the Case Copperhead in my pocket or the Buck 110 Auto Elite on my belt.2 points

Similar bushcraft profile - but it’s in a whole different class. Elmax wasn’t really a thing when the original ESEE’s were made. Those are 1095 - which has the advantage of being easily sharpened to a blistering edge - but also needs proper care. That Elmax blade on the FirstEdge could sit in saltwater for months and be none the worse for wear. It’s good at edge retention - but if you let it get dull - it’s gonna be a chore to get sharp again.2 points

Jim Randall and Mike Perrin’s ESEE-5 is my longtime goto. I’ve got a lot fancier knives, but I grab that one first whenever I’m in the field. You can do a little knife job with a big knife - but not the reverse.2 points

I think that it might be going a bit too far to allow deadly response to trespass. I see that as opening a really big can of worms.2 points

Blasphemy you can never have too many stainless guns, 10-4 and good luck on the hunt. Those Ronin’s are sexy. Springfield is hands down the best all around 1911 in my opinion, some may disagree.1 point

JKGlock17 I would be all over it if it was blued. Have too many stainless guns at the moment1 point

It hurts the makers when they charge an arm and a leg. My rebuttal is it helps determine if you want to pull the trigger on a $700 safe queen or not. Knives are tools in my opinion, and I'm a broke 20 something year old.1 point

I want to push back on that a little bit. First on quality - then on principle. That $10 knockoff isn’t the same quality knife. Steel, heat treating, quality control - none of that is the same. I’m not an LMF person - but I’d be willing to wager putting an original and that knockoff edge to edge and then hammering the spine - the original will cut through the Temu knockoff. Second - it hurts the maker. Gerber will be fine. It hurts someone like Rob Bayley. It’s worth supporting makers we care about.1 point

Yeah I was over it decades ago (and never really was that into it). I may occasionally have one or two if I’m 50 yards from wherever I’m sleeping that night, but I wouldn’t care if it was suddenly never available again. I don’t see why it’s so necessary for some folks, but I do understand that it does different stuff for different people. Give three guys tequila and one goes to sleep, one has the happiest day of his life, and the third wants to kill everybody. I have little sympathy for whatever consequences the third guy faces unless it’s his first time.1 point

New unfired Saiga 12 iz109 model. This was one of the last models imported before the ban in 2014. Still in the grease as they say.AK platform shotgun for those that don't know. 19" threaded barrel, includes 1 magazine. $800 (high capacity drum available for extra $$$) No trades I'm in east tn but I'm willing to ship on the buyers dime1 point

Nice! I like my Gerber LMF Infantry, I have one in black and one in desert. Pretty tough knives.1 point

If you want pan and tilt, that feature is not as popular as a ball head. They work quite differently. Would not want a ball head for a twenty pound load1 point

$700 Sale or Trade Value / CZ75 Compact / 9mm / No Rail / CZ Custom trigger / CZ Custom aluminum thin grips / 3 dot white sites / 4 magazines / 1 unknown brand plastic holster and one Fobus (I think) This is one of a couple of pistols I purchased from member Steelharp (may he rest in peace). It has sat in my collection for many years because I really wanted it and it's a phenomenal shooter, but I just don't like the way it fits my hand. There is an odd blemish on one side that I've circled in red. I found an M&P45 (Thanks The mailman!) so I've updated with my larger trade list and will trade up or down: Bergara Premier or HMR 6.5 Creedmoor Tikka CTR 6.5 Creedmoor PSA Jakl pistol 5.56 45 Colt revolvers, just not Single Action Army 5" barrel or less 1903a3 K31 I'm in Wilson County, but don't mind driving a bit especially if there is a brewery near by. Thanks again to everyone who helped me with sorting out this ad!1 point

I am interested I have some K-31s to choose from I willing to trade. I can send you pictures. I sent you a pm. The one in these pictures is a 1946 all matching walnut stock. I am not good at posting pictures here but if you message me an email or cellphone I can send more pictures. I also have a 1952 k-31 with slightly lighter stock that I think is beech wood.1 point

I'll regret even trying to sell this one but recent purchases make it worth at least trying.... Unfired Beretta 92 Volunteer Edition. Picked this one up at a local shop a while back after it was traded in. Previous owner said it hadn't been fired and its condition substantiates that. Plenty of info on these from Google (or previous sales threads here ) I'm not looking at any trades but since that won't stop everyone... if you want to offer me a trade that you think I can't refuse go ahead and do so. Keep in mind I'll be looking to turn whatever you offer into cash so it would have bring my asking price plus for it to be worth my while. Not trying to be a jerk but I can't think of a gun I'd rather have than this one, only $$ at the moment. $13501 point

Romanian FPK on a TN Gun receiver. I've had it since about 2010, I put a dozen or so rounds through it, everything functioned well and there were no issues. It's been in the back of the safe for the last 15 years and now I need to make some room. It comes with two magazines that lock up nicely. The flash hider is welded on, and the bayonet lug is ground down on the sides. All parts (minus receiver) have matching numbers. The trigger group is a Tapco G2. I'm happy to answer any questions, just let me know. Asking $1800 $1600. I can meetup anywhere within about an hour of Maryville. As long as this post is up, it is still available.1 point

This. Too many scenes in movies and shows where somebody has a long day (or even a normal day) and a stiff drink or five is obligatory.1 point

I’ve seen this a lot lately and was initially suspicious, but now believe there’s something to it. I suspect the more serious fans of alcohol will write it off as Baptist teetotaler propaganda.1 point

I learned something last year that I never knew. The reason it's called intoxicated is because alcohol is a toxin for the human body. It horrible for us. And despite popular belief, there is no safe amount. Even 1-2 drinks per day is bad for us. Alcohol increases the risks for every type of cancer and negatively impacts our mental health. My wife and I quit drinking 13 months ago and we don't miss it.1 point

This is a very important firearm in American gun history and American history in general. This is a Civilian issued 1916 mfg Colt 1911. It could likely tell many stories, and is in brilliant condition. I will take not a dollar less than $2600. No rust. No pitting. Minor finish wear on sharp edges. Gun hasn’t been fired nearly as much as some of the others being auctioned.1 point

I'm not sure if you are like me, but my favorite handgun I currently have is a Les Baer Mono, beautiful gun in every aspect and it shoots so smoothly. Since I prize this gun so much, I only take it out for special occasions. Not wanting to over use my favorite gun I bought a SpringField TRP and it has now become my second favorite and most used gun for me when I go out shooting. Are there people out there with the same mind set? If so, let us see what it is1 point

I carry the 43X and really like how slim and light it is for the capacity it can carry. There are 15rd magazines from PSA (no modifications to gun required!) and Shield Arms (need to swap out magazine catch with a metal version.) PSA DAGGER MICRO 9MM 15 ROUND MAGAZINE: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-dagger-micro-9mm-15-round-magazine.html Shield Arms S15 Magazine Gen 3 - 15 Round Magazine for Glock® 43X/48: https://www.shieldarms.com/shop/sa-s15-nc-gen3-s15-magazine-gen-3-15-round-magazine-for-glock-r-43x-48-7120 (Note - Do NOT buy the "Pro-Mag" 15 rounders...they are highly unreliable.) I have a Glock 19, but it feels noticeably thicker compared to the 43X. Great gun, but I'd rather carry the thinner/lighter 43X. My 43X has been very reliable and surprisingly accurate. I'm impressed. Glock nailed it on size & grip-ability and the aftermarket came thru to bump up the capacity from 10 to 15 rounds.1 point
