Spring - well it's on the way - and time to move a few out. This package will include 340 rounds of Brown Bear ammo and 60 rounds of loose 7.62 x 39 for which I do not recognize the headstamp. Pictured below. Comes with the scoped mounted dust cover and the original. Includes two 30-round magazines and one 5-round. I've owned this for several years and shot only a few times. I am just west of Knoxville and willing to meet an established TGO member within around 50 miles. Asking $1300.00 $1100.00 for the package. No trades currently. Thanks for looking.2 points

The camo pattern of your gun is a bonus since a lot of people are using the .410 as a turkey gun due to the amazing performance of TSS (tungsten super shot) shells. Hopefully someone sees the great opportunity to pick up a new-in-box gun for not much money that they can use to get a youngster started on hunting.2 points

Stand by for date, original date won't work. So I want to put together a big event where we can all show off our bbq rigs, eat some good smoked meat, and bang some steel after the meal. I'll smoke ribs, chuck roast and a pig butt on the smoker. Feel free to bring sides and non alcoholic drinks to contribute. Open carry of fancy leather and engraved pistols is encouraged. Bring out your best. After a big meal of smoked meat and sides we can retire to the back field to bang some steel with pistol and rifle. Address will be posted at a later date or sent via PM. It's in Oliver Springs. Please no alcohol or drugs, they have no place around loaded firearms.1 point

FOMO got the best of me, and now I have an expensive but beautiful paperweight. Happy to provide more pictures or answer any questions from potential buyers. I discovered /r/Idiotswithguns today. There are so many differing reactions for these videos. Some of them are hilarious, most of them infuriating, and some of them outright dumb. Enjoy.1 point

This is a Civilian colt 1911 manufactured in 1917. The gun is in very nice condition for its age, retaining most of the blue finish. The firearm has two spots on the same side with no finish, resulting in some dull spots that had a little oxidation . the roughness from the oxidation is not very pronounced, it only effected it enough to take away the polished shine in those areas. It still very much falls within the margin of able to be restored. I’m asking 1700 or you give me an offer. I’m open to all cash offers within reason, unfortunately no trades. I will need a signed bill of sale after the transaction and need to glance at ID. Contact me, Kevin, at 61540340021 point

Wow...your feeding tube fell out?! Dang, that's kind of scary but it sounds like the doctors feel you'll be okay without it. I hope so. If you can keep up your appetite and find foods you like, it should work out. I hope the infusion went well. Is this a chemo treatment? You mentioned chili and danged if that doesn't sound good! Perfect cold weather meal. That, and stew. I haven't had stew in a while. Since it's snowing outside right now, seems like tomorrow should be a chili or stew lunch day. Hang in there @DeepSouth - you are a fighter and it shows.1 point

Mine is my S&W 642. I bought it on a whim when they were on sale at Rural King about 10 years ago for less than $300. Now that I've changed careers and wear dress pants and suits more often I find myself carrying it more and more. I still prefer my Glock 48 for daily carry but this has turned into a gun I love to both shoot and carry.1 point

That’s a nice looking rifle. Beautiful grain on the stock. I would definitely consider it if I hadn’t just bought a Scout version of it a couple of months ago. A little too soon to try to justify getting another one at this point .1 point

Simpler solution, stop making people leave firearms when they should be carrying them.1 point

Maybe he should worry more about real criminals instead of regular people- These putzes's are continually finding things to blame us with while completely ignoring the real criminals out there- These idiots really get under my skin-they must just sit home and think of stupid things to make illegal- If my car is locked it is now a secure container-unless it's broken into which now makes it a crime-against the person doing the breaking-not the vehicle owner-1 point

I carried a 43x for over 4 years.I’ve also carried a 19 for a while as well. The 43x is more comfortable to carry and handle than the 19.Downside to the 43x is less capacity unless you want to use aftermarket mags and increased recoil.1 point

Guns handed down by family members are some of our most cherished. I’m sure many of you will have examples to show here. I have my Dad’s first rifle, a Stevens single shot.22 and a Remington semi auto.22 given to me by my grandfather. Yesterday my father gave me his Smith and Wesson model 19-4 Combat magnum. I have memories of seeing it safely protected in his bedside table drawer but have never shot it. He said he thinks he only fired it once or twice. Still looks like new.1 point

Yes @Dawg1998, my wife and I started having this conversation last night after reading the thread above about such an approach... in fact, it might actually allow me to have a smaller safe downstairs where a large one wouldn't go or wouldn't be allowed...1 point
-
Dang, back reading this topic again... I need a safe, don't want it in the garage due to heat/humidity No place to put it downstairs that 1. will fit, 2. the wife will accept so my only real option is upstairs Opinions on a 600lb safe upstairs... not the moving part, just that much weight on the second floor In my case, it could be loaded on or adjacent to an exterior wall which is load bearing so that is good Thanks, Rick1 point
