  3. >>> Price Drop to $3000 <<< I have a huge Reloading Package that I've decided to part with. This would be a fantastic set-up for someone just starting out that is interested in reloading .223/.556 & 9mm. Everything you need to load thousands of rounds is included in this package. I don't shoot as much as I used to and I just never have been able to find the time to put into it. Everything I have was purchased new by me and has been kept in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Everything is either new or like new. I reloaded less than 500 rds of .223 and Zero rds of 9mm. I have looked online at a few of my regular places that I always order from and found the cheapest prices I could and have made an itemized list. This list reflects what it would cost to buy these items today, minus taxes and shipping. I totaled it all up and then decided to ask 60% of that total. The Grand Total is $5554, which would actually cost you well over $6000 with tax & shipping. 60% of $5554 is $3332.40. So I'm going to do even better than that and ask $3200.00 for the entire package. I don't want to mess around with breaking stuff up. I'm only interested in selling it all as a complete package. I'm located in Bybee which is about halfway between Morristown & Newport in Cocke Co.

  5. If you’re talking about new S&Ws then yeah, there can be some QC issues. Even older ones can have problems but not like now.

  6. If you leave carrying practicality of of the discussion then revolvers are the coolest pistols ever. Yes, I said pistols. Before the rise of semi-autos all handguns were pistols.

  7. Not a G43 but a I primarily carry a Shadow Systems CR920. Coming from the G19 platforms it is the ideal carry gun. Near same capacity but much easier to carry and conceal. Shootability is better for me than the G19. I also carry a PSA Micro Dagger with the same results. Great choice.

  10. Looking for a basic AR platform 6.5 Grendel, 18-22". Plan to set it up for coyote, don't want anything fancy, going to build up from "stock". Also looking for a 3" S&W 357 revolver. Stainless or chrome, either is fine. Box/case preferred but not necessary. Model not terribly important, but no airweights or similar. And nostalgia continues to rear its head, I'm now convinced I need to finish destring my shoulder with a Mosin... 91/30 in decent shape. I'm in Jefferson City, prefer not to travel more than an hour, 60+ hour work week leaves little time for roadtrips. Not in a rush. Thanks for looking.

  11. But it fits here as well, hopefully some of the past regulations and anti-2A stuff they tried the last 4 years can get rolled back.

  13. From my understanding, the 5000-series isn't really that much better than the 4000-series. We'll see once they become more widely available. In any case, whenever you're upgrading a system, you've got to figure out where the bottleneck is, what's the part that limits everything else. That may or may not be your graphics card if you've already got a 4070.

  14. This year I decided to jump on the bandwagon with the smaller bore hunters and picked up a Stevens 301 Turkey in 410 a month ago. I've always been a 12 gauge hunter but after doing some researching on the little 410 and TSS I had to have one. Plus I loved the looks of the Bottomland Thumbhole Model. I did some testing with the factory supplied choke and a Patternmaster Code Black Turkey. I tried two different types of the TSS which was the Federal #9's and the Salt Creek Customs #10. Both loads performed good out to 40 yards but the Salt Creek would put 130 shots in the 10 at 40 where the Federal did 94. The Patternmaster patterned the Federal better than the Factory Choke but was the complete opposite with the Salt Creek #10's. So the setup I decided to hunt with was the Factory Choke paired with the Salt Creek #10. Wednesday morning I got a chance to test the little 410 out on a nice thick roped East TN public land bird at 45 yards. Was a tad farther than I like shooting but had patterned the gun out to 40 and knew it was capable of ethically taking one at that distance. After lugging this little 410 around these past few days I don't think I'll ever break out the pumps again. Super light setup that shoulders nice and will flat do the job shooting TSS.

  17. I love revolvers and semiautomatics. Semi’s get carried more but unless really hard times hit I don’t see my revolvers going anywhere. Nothing will ever replace the feeling of old single action Colt. Age thing I suppose.

  18. It's been years since I lived in the area but Citico/Tellico is one of my favorite places on Earth. Not sure it checks the box of not remote, but that's one of the things I like about it. If it helps, I'd call it remote, but you can drive right up too the creek in Citico as the road follows the creek. Depending on your exact location alive the creek you are no further than maybe 45 minutes from Madisonville or Tellico Plains. I see you are in Oak Ridge. I used to live there too. Although I prefer Tellico/Citico the Clinch River is nothing to turn your nose up at.

  19. Henry Golden Boy Silver 22 Long Rifle Nickel Plated Lever Action Rifle - 20in Includes 500 rounds Armscor 22LRR 36 GR High Velocity Hollow Points Shot approximately 20 rounds through it. Beautiful firearm, great for the range and looks great on the wall. Henry The Golden Boy Silver Rifle -Whether you choose one chambered for .22 LR, .22 Magnum, or .17HMR, the Henry Golden Boy Silver Rifle is a masterpiece of fine crafted gunsmithing. It is elegant, visually appealing, and has a beautiful finish. Henry selected the Golden Boy as the canvas for the application of fine hand engraving which elevates an already stunning rifle into a work of art. The result represents the true marriage of state-of-the-art gunsmithing with the centuries old craft of engraving. Nickel was the first as the electro-plating process evolved, and with a long history of tradition it’s still the most popular with its ability to maintain a long-lasting wear and tarnish-resistant finish. Adding to the historic authenticity is the adjustable buckhorn-type rear sight. Expertly balanced and lightweight, this is the perfect rifle for any shooting aficionado. This beauty features a mirror-bright nickeled receiver cover The Golden Boy Silver can brighten up any shooter's day Configured with octagon barrels Fully adjustable Marbles semi-buckhorn sights

  20. The chainsaw didnt replace the ax, but it changed how people used them. As with everything in defense, its all about context. Revolvers are often more expensive, require more training to reach a real level of combat proficiency, and of course carry less ammunition. For a primary defensive arm, they are less efficient; but that does not mean I think they will disappear. They are excellent in niche roles, such as back ups, nontraditional carry methods, hunting, and low motivation/skill users. In a lot of ways, I view the revolver in the same light as the pump action shotgun. For the non shooter they are the simplest to leave in a drawer or a closet for months or years and have it go BANG; but if they have to do more than press the trigger they get complicated for the uninitiated quickly. Statistically, a lot of things. In high round count classes, revolvers fail at higher rates than semiautos. Now I said fail, rather than malfunction for a reason. If a semiauto malfunctions, it generally remedied by simple immediate actions by the user, whereas revolver malfunctions generally will require a gunsmith to solve. We just dont see them, because most revolver shooters dont shoot a large volume of rounds. I have lost count of the number of times as an instructor that Ive seen people come to the range with a partial box of revolver ammo, shoot a couple cylinders, and leave with ammo still in the same box, ready for the next range trip.

  23. I recently watched Shogun (the new version) and it made me go re-read the book (it’s been 30 or so years). The book took a little longer than the show, but I’ve never been a fast reader. My dad read Shogun and Rise and Fall of the Third Reich in two or three days each. My daughter got his reading DNA. He liked his TV too, though.

  24. JayzTwoCents put out a video a couple of days ago about the 5080 being an OC monster with much better performance gains than right out of the box. I didn't pay too much attention to it as I'm not in the market for a new GPU but he did mention some positive things about it after further testing. Maybe NVIDIA will learn its lesson for 60 series in couple of years and hopefully AMD gets back on the high end card manufacturing to keep NVIDIA on its toes. I'm also pretty hopeful for when Intel releases their C series cards as the B series made a pretty big splash a few months ago for the budget gamers.

  25. Nice setup. I'm not sold on the 50 series yet. I currently have a 4080 super OC'd pushing a 34" ultra wide at a very steady 120fps at 3440x1440. I also have a valve index VR (under a lot of dust sadly) and the card exceeds it's refresh rate. The card gobbles anything I throw at it with max settings, ray tracing, etc. I have two close friends who spent about 5k on their rigs and bought 4090s. One of them works in 3d animation, so it's great for him. The other is a gamer and he's got buyers remorse as the card is complete overkill.
