I added a few features to it, GUN CRAFTER Battle Crown Bushing, XS Night Sights, Wilson Combat Bullet Proof Single Side Thumb Saftey, Wood Caliber Std. Thickness Fancy Walnut Grips and Flat Trigger(breaks at 3.131#'s, smooth breaks like glass, all I did was hand polish the bow and trigger track.) Also included are two Wilson Combat ETM 9mm Mags and one Factory Mag, Paperwork Orginal Box. $785 CASH FTF. I live in the Whitehouse area and can meet locally around Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin and Nashville area for FTF Deal. Willing to drive a little to make the deal and meet halfway. 6. As I'm in Knoxville I will definitely check out "Mr. Guns and gear". I know I'm thick headed... but that 20 cents/rd includes shipping? LOL I'll go look @DeepSouth I've been using SA primers for a bit more than a year, several thousands so far in my Glocks. LCR's and Smith revolvers. They are usually $49.00/1000, Tax, no shipping or Hazmat, from Norma out of Georgia. https://normausa.com/product/small-pistol-primers/ I know they aren't Federal, CCI, or Winchester (I'm saving those since the SA's work so well).

  7. I thought I posted earlier two more links for some good information about the fight for reform in the NRA. https://electanewnra.com/ This second link is a current board member in a RugerForum thread. A lot of good information. Also in post #75 she recommends voting yes to Amend the NRA Certificate of Incorporation. https://www.rugerforum.com/threads/current-status-of-the-nra-from-an-insider.319066/

  8. Is there anything else management can do for you, lol.
    2 points
  9. Exactly. For far too long WLP and his cronies have used the NRA to their personal benefit. Now that WLP is finally gone, its time to take out the trash. I urge all NRA members to follow the recommendations of NRA 2.0 and vote. We have been silent for too long!

  10. I suspect that the troubles you and I are having is how the NRA became corrupt in the first place. I'd be willing to bet that 999 out of 1000 members are in the same boat. We have no idea who to vote for, who is decent, who is a scumbag, who to trust. So, many of us don't bother to vote and hope it works out. Meanwhile the ne'er-do-wells circle their wagons and gather enough votes to stay in power. I'm glad you brought this up. I need to do my part to root out the trash.

  11. There is a movement afoot to rebuild the NRA. Starting with ridding the board of WLP's cronies and the old guard that let things get so bad. They call it NRA 2.0. I fully support them and what they're trying to do. The web-site has a list of recommended people to vote for. My ballot is already filled out and mailed. And yes, I followed their suggestions. https://www.shootingnewsweekly.com/nra/nra-2-0-why-its-time-to-elect-a-new-nra/

Extras or cash where needed either direction. Not really looking for anything else. Asking $900.

  15. Priced reduced to $1,200 Ad closes on 2/13/25 - Sig Legion P-220 in like new condition. If asked to ship the pistol, the buyer should add $40 to the purchase price to cover shipping, and provide a copy of their FFL dealer's license so the item can be shipped via FedEx. 17. This year I decided to jump on the bandwagon with the smaller bore hunters and picked up a Stevens 301 Turkey in 410 a month ago. I've always been a 12 gauge hunter but after doing some researching on the little 410 and TSS I had to have one. Plus I loved the looks of the Bottomland Thumbhole Model. I did some testing with the factory supplied choke and a Patternmaster Code Black Turkey. I tried two different types of the TSS which was the Federal #9's and the Salt Creek Customs #10. Both loads performed good out to 40 yards but the Salt Creek would put 130 shots in the 10 at 40 where the Federal did 94. The Patternmaster patterned the Federal better than the Factory Choke but was the complete opposite with the Salt Creek #10's. So the setup I decided to hunt with was the Factory Choke paired with the Salt Creek #10. Wednesday morning I got a chance to test the little 410 out on a nice thick roped East TN public land bird at 45 yards. Was a tad farther than I like shooting but had patterned the gun out to 40 and knew it was capable of ethically taking one at that distance. After lugging this little 410 around these past few days I don't think I'll ever break out the pumps again. Super light setup that shoulders nice and will flat do the job shooting TSS.

  19. Not Krav-related, but I took this same approach when I bought my first guitar about 9 years ago and started taking lessons about 8 years ago (which ended with Covid and I never started up again). I still suck and am a beginner at best, but I like it. My younger self couldn't have understood that I didn't have to be good at something to enjoy it. It's why I quit golf in my early 20s. I sucked at it and knew I wouldn't be able to enjoy it unless I got good and that was a long road between my hooks and slices to being anywhere close to "good". Now I think I could go and have fun even if I shoot double par but I have too many other hobbies to add THAT one to the list . . . It took me a long time to understand what Kurt Vonnegut was onto with this: “When I was 15, I spent a month working on an archeological dig. I was talking to one of the archeologists one day during our lunch break and he asked those kinds of “getting to know you” questions you ask young people: Do you play sports? What’s your favorite subject? And I told him, no I don’t play any sports. I do theater, I’m in choir, I play the violin and piano, I used to take art classes. And he went WOW. That’s amazing! And I said, “Oh no, but I’m not any good at ANY of them.” And he said something then that I will never forget and which absolutely blew my mind because no one had ever said anything like it to me before: “I don’t think being good at things is the point of doing them. I think you’ve got all these wonderful experiences with different skills, and that all teaches you things and makes you an interesting person, no matter how well you do them.” And that honestly changed my life. Because I went from a failure, someone who hadn’t been talented enough at anything to excel, to someone who did things because I enjoyed them. I had been raised in such an achievement-oriented environment, so inundated with the myth of Talent, that I thought it was only worth doing things if you could “Win” at them.”

  20. Letting go of an all original '89 mustang thats been in the family since 1992. Its a factory 5.0, 5spd trans that has never been abused. This car needs nothing to be able to get in and drive today. What doesn't work, the right door doesn't open from the outside, the speakers need replacing, the right quarter window doesn't go down. The check engine light comes on periodically, does not affect drivability. The odometer quit working a few years ago. Estimated mileage is between 160k and 180k. Car has never been wrecked. This is an excellent starting place if you've ever wanted to build a restmod out of one of these foxbody cars. Asking $7995 Would be interested in trading for a farm truck, 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton regular cab 8ft bed 4x4, side by side with utility bed, or a 4x4 compact tractor with loader eta- factory mufflers were removed

  21. Not apples to oranges, but I had an experience with an e-bike company that refused to send me a check for the cost of labor on a warranty claim. They directed me to some online gift card company to jump through their hoops. I gave up after three tries.

  22. Always felt rebates where a scam, why not just deduct that amount from total? I wonder how many buy with the rebate deduction being the reason only to never carry through with rebate? Same thing with gift cards, read somewhere that over 80% of gift cards are never redeemed....

  24. If anyone old as dirt like me has problems with finding names in lots of names on lists, LOL, two of the recommended candidates are write-ins: Paul Babaz of Atlanta, Georgia and Charles Brown of Dayton, Ohio. Also the change in the Certificate of I corporation is at the bottom of the page labeled Ballot at the top. So you would put two separate sheets in the envelope. At least that’s what I did. If any of you sharper guys see any errors in my guidance, yell out!

  27. Now if that includes shipping (I know most places charge tax) I would be interested. So feel free to post a link. I belong to TSUSA and they will run "specials" a few times a year (thinking Black Friday sales) for Blazer Aluminum (I actually like this round) for $200.00 + TAX. Also on the New Republic 9mm (good quality round). Shipping is not an extra charge as it's a part of an annual membership fee ($99.00/year). To me, the best thing about TSUSA membership is that there is no minimum, so I can order 1 50 round box of 9mm or .38, of a 5 round pack of buckshot and the "free shipping" applies. But sales like that are few and far between it seems. It could be my limited cyber-skills. I tend to shoot several thousand rounds per year, so a nickel per round savings by handloading adds up for me. YMMV again, please post a link to these deals or a head's up for local pickup. I'd rather shoot than handload. But I enjoy handloading almost as much as I enjoy shooting. My Dillon 550 has served me well since 1990 and my Lee single stage was replaced a couple of years ago after 35+ years of use. Just thoughts on this topic.

  30. I love my Anaconda in 45 Colt. They made a small number, relative to the amount of 44s, back in the 80’s. It’s a fun and accurate gun to shoot steel targets with.

  32. There are plenty of far cheaper options for those that just want a fully functional 1911 to use, abuse, and defile with personal customizations to their own taste. Many appreciate the history of authentic military firearms and wish to preserve them. If you’re in that category, then go for it. If not, then newly manufactured exact copies can be found well under $500. One example: https://palmettostatearmory.com/sds-1911-government-45-acp-5-7rd-pistol-parkerized-1911atgovt.html

  33. great perspective. I tried a laser on a p238 ages ago and could never get used to it. I tend to prefer the optics for all situations, near and far. Finding the holosun dot / 32moa circle has done wonders for quick acquisition and hits up close as well as precision further out.

  36. I've done two injury-plagued stints at krav with some jiu-jitsu on the side. I learned a lot but most of all, to never judge someone by their appearance. I trained with 12 sandwich eating lardasses who were quicker than Connor McGregor and 130 pound weasels who could bench press a Volkswagon. I would like to go back, but I'm dealing with a couple injuries that would make that impossible right now. Good luck on dropping that 75 and getting some hand-to-hand wisdom in the process.

  39. I'm glad you mentioned this. The first thing I learned when I put a laser on a pistol was that my grip/stance was nowhere near as steady as I thought it was. LOL That immediate visual feedback helped a lot with correcting my shooting.
