Just in case those around the Knoxville area didn't get the memo, future shows will move from the Kerbela Temple to "The Venue", which is located just north of Lenoir City on highway 70 near where I-75 crosses over. (no exit there though) Good move in my opinion, as the space at the Kerbela Temple is pretty limited. "The Venue" looks to me to be roughly twice the size of the Kerbela Temple, & half the size of the space that RK uses at the Expo. I've been around since the SMGCA was a 500 table show back in their glory days in the '80's at the Worlds Fair Site. Would be good to see it outgrow "The Venue" someday, & possibly get back to an Expo size show.3 points

I've got a Cowboy action Shooting setup that I'm looking to sell. I haven't shot with SASS in about 4 years and these guns are now collecting dust in the safe! Here's what I have 1)Taylor Arms (Uberti) 1873 Carbine chambered in .357mag. It's case hardened and has a 19" barrel. Retails for $1675. I'm looking for $1100 2)Taylor Arms (Uberti) 1875 Scofield top-break pistol. 5" barrel chambered in .38 special. It's the model 2. There is only one listed on gunbroker and they're asking $1400 used. I'm looking to get $1000 3)Taylor Arms (Uberti) SAA Smoke wagon chambered in .357mag. 5.5" barrel Looking to get $500 4) Stoeger 12gauge coach gun, it's had some tuning done so the shells eject easier. $250 For those that don't want to do the math that's a total of $2850 for all four. But if someone wanted to buy it as a package I'd take $2300 and I'll throw in approximately 250 rounds of .38special Cowboy rounds, a pelican case that holds all four guns, and if you're left handed I have the double pistol holsters. I have the original boxes for the pistols. The pistols and rifle were bought new by me, and have less than a 1000 rounds through them. The shotgun was bought 2nd hand, but it well care for.2 points

I have had one for a couple weeks, 400rd through it so far. Only thing I changed was mounting an RMR09 on it. It’s not better than a Glock (at least not until there are additional grip modules available) but the ability to direct mount an optic was nice. No malfunctions so far, trigger is ok, accuracy is ok, iron sights are great if you don’t fancy optics, fits in Glock 19 holsters, slide serrations are well done, internal parts fit & finish isn’t as polished as I would like but it’s hard to argue with the price. It’s totally worth a sub-$400 price point.2 points

Selling a used .300 blackout barrel, I believe the manufacturer is KAK. The barrel is in great shape and measures 8.25” without a muzzle device. It has had 140 rounds fired through it and it comes with a low profile gas block and pistol length gas tube. I’m also selling the ammo with it. I have 163 rounds of Pioneer PNR 220 grain TMJ subs and 27 rounds of Winchester Super X 200 grain power point subs. $230 for everything. Not separating the package at this time.1 point

Winchester Model 1903 Rifle for sale. The Model 1903 is the first Semi-auto rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company. They were made from 1903 to 1932. The first 5000 guns were made without a safety (no safety button) and were advertised as "automatics", but were semi-auto design. It is a blowback design with a ten round tube magazine. The serial number and consultation with the Winchester Arms Collector organization indicates this one was made in 1903. I got this from a Winchester collector in Cookeville, TN. It is in excellent condition. Buyer must be legal to own a firearm and willing to show ID for my records. Price is $1200 cash with pick-up in Manchester, TN. Jeff Cooper talked about peep sights being more precise and friendlier to older eyes than open sights and quicker than optic sights. Seems kinda contradictive, but Cooper knew his stuff. Red dots weren't common in his day, though. I have these on a Winchester 94AE and I really like them. I prefer these lower profile sights to the big Skinner type peeps and I think they are closer to what Cooper had in mind. https://xssights.com/products/winchester-ghost-ring-sight-sets-lever-action-.html1 point

A scout mount with a long eye relief scope would work.1 point

Depends on when it was made. The older rifles required an off set scope mount due to the fact that it ejects straight up. But it can be done with the right mount. Kinda awkward, but it works. Winchester changed this about 30 years ago (?) when they came out with the Angle Eject (AE) versions. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped and its just a matter of mounting the scope. Personally, I don't care for a scope on a lever gun. But that's just me. You might consider going to peep sights. There are also mounts available for a Scout type scope or Red Dots.1 point

Im just as concerned of federal overreach as I am for the Second Amendment. I think a more Constitutionally viable bill is National Reciprocity, which is firmly backed by the “full faith and credit” clause of Article IV, section 1. This bill in the long run can be a massive threat to our 2A protections. If it’s within Congress’s purview to enact this bill, it would also be within Congress’s power to forbid it later when the Leftists have the numbers.1 point

My dad came home from National Guard cold weather training one year and had some incredible gear, like mukluks, some of the warmest 2 layer gloves I've ever worn, and best of all, an arctic sleeping bag. I was a teenager at the time and he let me wear it on cold mornings deer hunting. The sleeping bag was a blessing at Boy Scout Winter Camp. I was the warmest one there.1 point

Here's a website that sells the miliary zipper, I don't know why a good alteration shop couldn't help you out. https://go-armynavy.com/u-s-military-69-replacement-zipper-5-pack/1 point

No help for you, but reminded me that I truly regret getting rid of the USAF parkas and other cold weather gear years ago. I had the parkas in long and short jacket styles and mukluks for my feet.1 point

Tommy Norris’ job in Landman reminds me of my job somewhat, minus the fistfights and bodies. His character cracks me up. On a side note, the plot of all of Taylor Sheridan’s shows lately seems to be how many F-bombs each character can squeeze into a paragraph.1 point

When I first started carrying I was a proponent of open carry for all of the reasons your friends have mentioned. The longer I carried, and the more experience I gained with firearms the less desire I had to open carry. The only benefit of being allowed to open carry at this point is if at the end of the day of range Larping I just want to get home, I can just get in the car and go and not worry about it if I have to stop and get gas or something along the way. Otherwise, there is no benefit to advertising that I have a firearm on me . my view at this point boils down to this. Should you have the right to open carry, yes. Should you open carry, no.1 point

I am looking for the same thing as you are. I live in Sparta and I am a member of Dead Zero in Spencer but would also like a place nearby to just go out by myself and plink. It seems like most people in my area shoot on their property or go to a range. I'll reply if I find anything.1 point
