Seems someone that is OC would be the definition of a hard target. Unless you plan on killing everyone anyway.2 points

Very nice condition 637-1 in .38 Special for $425(firm). This a no lock gun. Comes with VZ grips. Very smooth action. No box, etc. I bought it new probably 25 years ago and have put maybe 50 rounds through it. I prefer to sell to an established member with a carry permit. I’m north of Nashville. SOLD2 points

My dear wife has never complained about motorcycle, parts, or work in the house. But when things got better and we could afford a bigger house, one of HER requirements was a garage. When I had my old sportster in the living room polishing the water spots off, the conversation with my first wife went a little different.2 points

Sorry not buying it. More likely the robber would have not tried to rob the place if he had seen someone armed.2 points

First, I can't view Fox news website. Apparently I have an ad blocker the object to. Second, After a web search and reading other articles, it isn't clear to me how authorities knew the suspect had a firearm after the tour, but not before. Honestly, like most reporting these days, I'd need a lot more information to form a valid opinion. This is an odd story, no doubt. You are correct that very few folks take pride in their job now; especially government employees.2 points

9mm with threaded barrel and optics cut. Has a Cyelee red dot mounted. Sight and gun come with everything that came new in the box. I've shot 2 mags thru it with no malfunctions. Was gonna use as a suppressor host but just picked up an AR9 that I'm really liking. $600 firm ftf in Newport/Gatlinburg area to established/benefactor members only. https://palmettostatearmory.com/tisas-usa-1911-night-stalker-sf-9mm-5-8rd-pistol-platinum-gray.html https://www.cyeleeoptics.com/products/cat-green1 point

He passed through a magnetometer and a pat down, then completed a tour with a pistol in his waistband. Unacceptable! https://www.foxnews.com/us/us-capitol-visitor-completes-entire-tour-armed-gun-security-failure1 point

I'm in the concealed carry camp. If someone wants to open carry, have at it. I don't want the bad guy knowing I'm armed, and I just feel like open carrying presents too much of an opportunity for the bad guy to want to strike before I get the chance. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.1 point

I just got the "influenza type A" diagnosis myself so it's good you got the shot, as your family wasn't kidding; the flu is definitely making the rounds. I'm glad you were able to keep warm for your chemo. The weight gain is a positive sign, too. It sounds like you are making headway, even if the progress seems slow. Hopefully it'll warm up soon so you can try to get in some walking (per doctors orders.)1 point

Wow opinions abound. But like butts they all stink, including mine. Most criminals are cowards and leave if they detect a threat. Open or concealed your chance to fight back doesn't change. As for the argument might get others killed well if someone is willing to kill then either carry method doesn't change that. The video is someone's opinion just because you agree with it doesn't make it so. Train use proper equipment and keep your head on a swivel, how you carry is your choice and no one else's. This isn't a debate it's opinions and everyone has their own. If you want to prove a point come with facts, fortunately or unfortunately their are none, just opinions.1 point

From reports I read earlier, police in the suspect’s home state notified Capitol Police and Secret Service that the suspect had suicidal ideations and was visiting the Capitol. Police didn’t detain the suspect until after he completed the entire tour of the Capitol with the pistol inside his waistband.1 point

For what it's worth: Ya can buy a " large caliber " ( 308 ) bolt gun in the 700 to 1200 dollar range that will easily shoot into 1 moa. The Marines fought WW2 with bolt guns, not garands. The 308 size guns are good as far as ya can see if you do your part n know the gun. My pick in this range would be a Tikka 243 light sporter. These guns are accurate, light, n dependable. RE: The AR-15... There has been more BS written about " quality " ars than any other rifle produced. Most of the BS comes from the purveyors of these " quality ars ", and is nothing more than hype and pandering to the " pride in ownership " and " gotta have the best " crowd. A " budget ar " will shoot into about 1.5 to 2 moa... That's 3 to 4 inches at 100 yards. Your head is about 9 or so inches wide. You can homebuild a " quality " ar for between 600 and 800 bucks. The big hitters are the barrel, the trigger, n a good bolt. I like a lighter rifle now that I'm a septuagenarian. My ARs are in the 5.5 ta 6.5 pound range n they shoot very well... Ya can buy a match quality barrel for 250 on up. I use the Faxon ultralites myself, but there are plenty of good barrel makers out there today. I've been shooting rifles about 55 or so years now. I've never had one that could not be tweaked to shoot better than me. If ya want ta learn about shooting rifles, burn lotsa powder thru em. Don't be drawn to the idea that a better rifle means being a better shooter. Being a better shooter begins with shooting. here's hopin this helps a bit . leroy...1 point

Yep, that's what I figure she's doing. My son said she could apply to Medicare as a caregiver and get a paycheck. My first infusion I wore street clothes with PJ pants under them. It was super cold in the room and the blankets weren't enough. He went for an electric throw that helped a lot. Now I keep the PJ pants with sweatpants over them, boot socks, Tee shirt and flannel shirt. A Lewis & Clark field jacket, knit cap, the throw and a blanket over my feet. I stay pretty warm with all that. The jacket came as a set with a waterproof over coat and hood. It's a large size set, just wearing the over coat it looks like a 4 X large. Sam's had the jacket/coat set for $40 about 20 years ago. Best $40 I ever spent for cold weather. About the same time I got the jacket a small sporting goods store went out of business. Think they name was Fur and Fin. They had a knit cap that would cover your face with a large hole for your eyes, helps if you wear glasses. In the mouth area was something to help keep you warm inside while breathing. Stretching the material a bit it looked like a copper pot scrub pad between w layers of knit material. Does great if you're a mouth breather, not so much if you're a nose breather. It is easy to make with a scarf, pot scrub and a patch over it. I made one for work so I wouldn't mess up the one for hunting.1 point
