  1. As some of you may remember, I had prostate cancer last year, went through radiation treatment and was declared in remission in January. Well they just found 2 nodules on my left lung. I have to go back in for another ct scan in early April to try to see more clearer what they are and status or whatever they call it. My cancer Dr had told me that the radiation had worked in my prostate, but tiny undetectable partials could have possibly spread before the radiation eradicated the cancer in my prostate. Anyway, long story to say I’d appreciate your prayers, if you’ve a mind to, for me. It’s in God’s hands now. Thank you.

  2. I have an unfired sp01 tactical I’m looking to sale. I have another one and had plans for this but I have to many other projects I need to finish up, it has dawson fiber sights and a steel shadow guide rod that goes with it. $750. Not looking for any trades and must meet fairly close to Athens Edit: I was taking pictures for someone interested and noticed a very small nic in the slide, I know I didn’t do it putting the sights on and don’t have a clue how it got there but dropping the price $50 because of that. $700 Firm

  23. The trip to Freddie's was a "granddaughter service charge" for running your errands. She just KNEW you would understand, ha! Kids. What are you going to do? Least she could have done was bring you back something. Milkshake? Some fries? Something... Good luck staying warm @ your chemotherapy appointment. T-shirt, sweatshirt, coat, and windbreaker might give you enough layers. A stocking cap for your head would help, too. Hoping it all pays off in the end and you beat your cancer.

  34. I wanna know which one of y'all asked for them to make the locks to start with?

  35. I say 308 for a battle riffle, what you choose is what's your budget. Can't go wrong with LWRC, or HK, I didn't have the cash for those I have an Aero precision M5 it's been great shoots MOA with bs 150 grain, and better with good ammo.

  36. Let's hope so. It'll probably kill the value on the lock models, but I'm ok with that. I think Colt has really come out swinging the last few years and maybe Smith has finally figured out that putting in a half assed effort isn't good enough anymore. If they will get rid of the lock and now start improving their QC then they have a good chance of turning it around

  38. Nice. I could be tempted by one of the 686s. But being a Lipsey's Exclusive and limited numbers, I'm betting that they sell out in a matter of hours. If you want one, better jump quick!

  39. This is the bottom line right here. Safety is paramount. Legal or not, if you endanger others, you're wrong. 20 years or so ago I was at a group shoot up in Missouri. We were on one guy's private property and using a large hill as a backstop. One of the neighbors came over and complained that bullets were flying over his property and were dangerously close to his house. Frankly, we thought he was full of it and just wanted to be a PITA. That hill was huge, no way it didn't stop every round. But, just to be sure, one of our guys went over and took a look. 10 minutes later he came running back yelling "Cease Fire!" The bullets were ricocheting off that rocky hill and were indeed landing on this man's property near his house. There was never the slightest doubt among any of us. We immediately stopped shooting and never used that area as a range again. Safety has always got to be the first consideration.

  40. I have always wanted a 6.8 Special AR, I have a LWRC rifle razorback 2 with a Geissele trigger pre installed that will be waiting for me when I get home. I cannot wait, this should be my favorite rifle when I get it

  43. I'm a city kid. Never been hunting in my life. Just not part of my upbringing. Consequently, my intro to guns was in the military and then the tactical/EBR era. Well, I've been thinking about getting a bolt action rifle for a minute and @robtattoo's for sale thread on that custom 280AI was the catalyst for me to get off my duff and get to it. (I came very close to getting it, but that weirdo caliber scared me off.) So after a little research I bought myself a Montana Rifle Company ASR in 308. It's got the absolute best trigger I have ever felt. It doesn't feel like it moves. It just breaks at 3#. It's nuts. The bolt design of the Model 1999 is a mixture of the Model 70 and the Mauser. She's a beautiful piece of work. I'm getting a killer discount on the optic from a friend of mine, but it's going to take a few weeks for that to come in. It's going to get a Nightforce NSX 3.5-15x50 MILR. My intent is to build a rifle that will forever be able to exceed my abilities. Here is the link to image gallery.

  44. "Never half ass two things. Whole ass one thing." Ron Swanson I put a lot of research into my choices here. I also sought out the advice of a small group of friends of mine, some of whom live and hunt out west. I cant wait to find out how well she shoots as well. Unfortunately it's not gonna be for at least a month or more before I get the chance to break her in.
