  3. I've spent some time behind one of those. I think they lie about the 6.2 lbs. Feels like 4.5-4.9. It's like magic.

  4. I've had my share of Glocks, love them for what they are, basic, very reliable pistols that need a lot of upgrades. I have a Shadow Systems CR920 Combat which is my everyday carry with a Holosun EPS enclosed red dot on it. Also have an MR920P with a comp and a SwampFox red dot, which is probably the most natural pointing pistol I've ever owned. I'll carry it in colder weather when it's easier to hide OWB. I think the SS triggers are better than a Glock trigger out of the box, grip texture is far superior, red dot mounting is also superior. Their customer service and warranty support is great from my experience. As another poster said, it's what Glocks should have evolved to.

  5. All are fully functional. From Right to Left Right: $300, with tokens and instruction book. Best I can tell, the game and case are original. Middle: $200, with tokens and instruction book. Game is original to case, Las Vegas inserts are replacements. The lower panel has a cigarette burn, proof it was in service somewhere...the ashtray is also damaged. Detailed pics available if interested. Left: $500, must supply your own tokens. Any token the exact size and weight of a quarter will work. This one also seems to be unique as the XXXX on the lower panel is red, all the ones I've found online are green. Pick up in South Knoxville Reasonable delivery distance Thanks!

  6. What ammo you all have loaded in your home defense AR mags? I have always just had M193 because I bought a bunch in bulk a while back. It is great for training, but I am thinking there might be better options out there for an actual defensive situation. Maybe alternate M855 and something like Federal's 64 Grain Bonded SP?

  7. Following my days of employment at Gibson, I have some investments to offload. These were all recently acquired directly from Gibson and I don't play, so they're basically untouched and in some cases, still brand new in the box. The Murphy Lab '59 hasn't actually arrived yet (should be any day), hence the stock photo. That one will initially be left unopen in the box for a potential buyer unless it just doesn't move and people want photos of it. The amps are still in the boxes they arrived in, hence the stock photos and I see no reason to unbox. The Demo shop models I picked up directly from that shop as a cased guitar, hence the lack of a box. Can provide more photos on demand but obviously with this many items, it would clutter the thread to dump them all here, hence only 1-2 photos of each. Would prefer to sell outright but open to trades for gun stuff or motorcycles. Custom Shop 1959 Reissue Les Paul, Murphy Lab ultra light aged, Sunset Teaburst (brand new in box) - $6200 Custom Shop/Demo 1959 Reissue Les Paul, Abilene Sunset Burst (brand new, Demo, no box) - $5200 Custom Shop/Demo Les Paul Axcess, Bengal Burst (brand new, Demo, no box) - $4000 Gibson USA Adam Jones Les Paul Standard, Silverburst (brand new in box) - $2600 Gibson USA Slash Les Paul, November Burst (Excellent condition, was a "desk guitar" for a couple years, unusually heavy figure top hence why it became a desk guitar, extra "Standard" & blank truss rod covers, mislabeled box) - $2600 Gibson Deluxe Protector Case (unused, tags attached, couple small scuffs from warehouse storage) - $200 Mesa Boogie Mark VII 1x12 Combo, Black (brand new in box) - $3100 Mesa Boogie Custom Configured California Tweed 6v6 2:20 1x12 Combo, British Tan Bronco (brand new in box) - $1900 (image won't upload for some reason but it's just a stock photo you could easily look up) (2) Maestro Titan Boost Pedals (brand new in box) - $125 each Maestro Mariner Tremolo Pedal (brand new in box) - $125 Maestro Arcas Compressor Sustainer (brand new in box) - $125

  9. I have a couple of hand gun range bags that hold 2-4 handguns plus magazines etc but my go to general bags were all bought at place like Lowe's, Tractor Supply and Harbor Freight. I still shop their canvas tool bag section from time to time to see if there are any new styles I like better. Thy are relatively cheap and have lots of pockets and a place to put bigger things.

  15. Took it to the range today. Shoots wonderful! Loud and smooth. Then I installed a 9mm barrel and spring from my RIA single stack 9mm 1911 and it worked perfectly as well. Now I think I’ll order a 38 super barrel and try that out. This is going to be a fun gun!

  22. H&R 922 from the mid 50s - Serial number P59979 Shoots fine. A tiny amount of slop in the cylinder in the "reverse" direction, but everything lines up fine when firing double or single action. I replaced the cylinder stop with a "good" used one from Numrich, and I can't tell a difference. I disassembled and removed the bluing to redo it with Brownell's rust blue. My first time bluing a gun, so not perfect but much better than after 70 years of wear. You can't see it in the picture, but in certain light there is an extremely faint reddish hue. $180. Thompson's Station (South of Nashville) or surrounding areas.

  23. Any chance you would want a glock17 somebody may have sold to me “still with the factory grease and one mag through it”. Only ask because I think a couple weeks ago you posted about wanting one. I love my canik and would love another over a Glock.

  26. I went looking for the somewhat larger range bags like those that you used to be able to pick up at a reasonable price almost anywhere such as Academy Sports and Midway and haven't had any luck. I've searched locally and online and all I've found is smaller bags. It may be because the general population has gotten too weak to pick much up and carry it.

  27. Agreed. Mine is a 4 gun bag that I got at Midway some years ago. I took a quick look, but they don't seem to offer mine anymore. Just do an on-line search to find what you like. Remember. Good gear ain't cheap and cheap gear ain't good.

  30. Thanks! Yes they are very effective. Some of these mean machines are from the early 70's and are considered by many to be the best ever made. Heavy, durable steel and chain. Cool aesthetic. Nautilus set the mark.

  34. I just completed manufacturing of a "dealer sample" full auto MP5 for Shooter's Supply in Hixon (a Class 2 FFL). Based on an LSC receiver flat, which is the best I have encountered in 15 years of working on HK's. Authentic A3 version F recoil-reducing stock and imported HK Navy lower. I was pleasantly surprised by how effective the F-stock is in recoil reduction; it is much more controllable than the classic A3 style stocks I'm most familiar with. I did a 10-mag break-in, both suppressed with 147 and and unsuppressed with 124 and 115. All ran flawlessly. They have it available for range rentals if you ever find yourself in Hixon. It's worth checking off the bucket list, if you've never run an MP5 before. MP5-SSRange02.mp4

  35. I'm a full service gunsmith here in Chattanooga (mill, lathe, restorations and repair, full custom match rifles and handguns, etc). I just finished manufacturing a select fire (full auto) MP5 for your rental gun arsenal over there at Shooter's Supply - I hope your customers enjoy it! MP5-SSRange02.mp4

  36. I got rid of the last of my Glocks a couple years ago and replaced them with a DR, MR, and a CR for my wife. I feel like they are what Glock should have evolved into over the years. Their optics mounting solution blows Glock out of the water and is one of the best out there in my opinion. The only thing I wish was better is their triggers… they are no better or worse than Glocks. I have heavily modified and tricked out Glocks in the past, but for the money I think the SS stuff is the way to go for that platform.

  37. I have the CR and MR and really like them. I much prefer them to Glocks. Usually with a Glock, by the time I got done with sights, triggers, optic, optic mount, extended controls, etc. I'm way over the Shadow Systems, that have a better optic mount, frame reliefs, and all the changes I wanted anyway. Plus, I think they look better, fit better, and shoot better. I've had a lot of Glocks, mainly 19's, and would not complain having another one but the cost to value at the end of upgrades goes heavily to the Shadow Systems.
