22 LR, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1948-made revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor. The metal retains 97-98% of the original blue finish with some mild fading at the sides of the muzzle, along some of the high and exposed edges, and a light turn-ring at the rear of the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of their original color case-hardening, with some very mild fading on the edges, and correct original sights are fitted. The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional. This is a splendid five-screw K-frame .22, and is in fine-near excellent condition overall. SOLD Thanks for looking4 points

I bought this 02 here on the forum about a decade ago. It is a 4 cylinder, automatic, and has 167k on it now. I think I put an injector in it once, and squirrels have chewed the fuel lines up a couple of times. Short of that, I've changed the oil every 10k, put gas in it, and drove it. It doesn't have much power, gets only about 20mpg, and isn't overly comfortable, but it is boringly reliable, and I've yet to have it stuck. I pull a boat with it just fine. I plan to keep it til it dies, which it may well outlast me. Dad has a 98 model. The speedometer quit working, so I'm unsure of the miles, but it's over 400k. Same thing. Gas and drive. His is a v6 5 speed, and has twice the power mine does. My son had an 03 and drove it for years. Sold it to a buddy and it's still on the road. If he can't tear one up, that's saying something! I've no experience with newer models, but the older ones are amazing.3 points

I think you are getting ready to see how corrupt the law enforcement and judicial system is in East Tennessee. Just my opinion.3 points

I’ve got a Ruger LC Carbine in 45acp with less than 25 rounds through it. It comes with a thread adapter to go from the rifles 11/16x24 to 5/8x24, one 13 round magazine (it takes Glock 21 magazines) and flip up iron sights and everything in the box from factory. I’m firm at $700 and will drive within 45 minutes of my house.2 points

All are the sale 1/8" D-2 steel blank ...Overall length: 6 3/16 inches overall, Sharpened Blade Length: 2 3/8 inches. Pins are brass and also contains a larger mosaic pin. All come with kydex sheath shown. $95 each shipped. D2 is part of a tool steel category called “high carbon, high chromium” steels. D2 has somewhat better wear resistance and toughness than 440C, the most commonly used stainless steel in the 70’s. D2 has since been used in many knives, famously by makers such as Bob Dozier. 1. I would submit that there is a market for such a pickup, but manufacturers are going to cater to those who want huge ass trucks with 7+ year loans they can’t afford to take up two spots at the Walmart.2 points

If you want folding sights, Magpul Pro are nice. For fixed, I like the scalarworks. You may want to start with he optic / optic height first though and make sure they are the right height for what you want2 points

Exactly. I used to live near there and rode my motorcycle all over the place around there. This area is as country as it gets. Everyone knows everyone else and has for generations. The OP is the outsider and will always be viewed as such. There's a good reason why they always leave just in time. Theres also a good reason why rural appalachia has the reputation that it does. If they've been doing it for 30 years, their family has been doing it for 130 years.2 points

Just FYI, an AR Pistol needs an angled foregrip, otherwise it’s technically an AOW and requires a ($5) tax stamp and accompanying paperwork2 points

Please read ALL the details! This is NOT a regular American, although it mostly looks like one. Barreled action is from the compact model, so only 20" Stock is from the regular model, with AICS mag well & MDT 10 round mag & adjustable cheek riser installed. I had the chamber re-cut from standard to .223 Wylde & throated specifically to shoot heavier, long projectiles & take maximum advantage of the 1:8 twist. The bolt has been refinished & polished to get rid of the infamous 'zip-zip' noise. I also installed a beautiful Timney trigger that is hands down THE single nicest trigger I've ever tried. Dead on 2lb break with zero slop or creep. I can happily & easily put 30 rounds into a 1.25" 100yd group & it will maintain that accuracy of to 800yds I've got much, much more invested in the rifle than I'm asking, but I also understand that to most folk it's "just a Ruger American" I don't know my exact round count, certainly over 500, but well under 1000. The rifle WILL come with the rings but without the scope. The scope will be available with the rifle, or possibly after it sells. It's an SWFA 6x42 milquad with mil turrets. VERY highly sought after & has been unobtanium for a couple of years now. It won't hurt my feelings at all to keep it. I have 3 others & a spare couldn't hurt. $500 for the rifle, $400 for the scope.1 point

If you aren’t using an optic, I’d suggest a fixed front sight at least. If you need it, you don’t want to forget to deploy the sights1 point

It's possible, but exactly what they warned me about happened, so it couldn't have been a coincidence. Then again, maybe they worked out the bugs.1 point

Those Rangers were some great little trucks as well. I can’t believe there isn’t currently a market for a basic, small pickup.1 point

We are Toyota junkies. Two Tacomas, 2 FJ cruisers. One of each wrecked. 09 FJ stillrunning like a top, and a semi daily driver. As solid as the day it wuz built. '16 Tacoma TRD straight shift. About 90k miles... Daily driver for the son. Runs n looks like a new one... The 08 FJ that wuz wrecked wuz North of 240k miles; it wuz running like a top. No major repairs, only fair maintenance n good tires. These trucks are my absolute favorites. I've owned everything, including Jeeps, blazers, S10s, Suburbans, a Lincoln navigator, and a 15 Nissan Xterra. Nothing else is even close. The 15 XTerra is a DISTANT second. The XTerra has been a daily driver. All the engine crank n cam sensors n a couple of mass flow air sensors have been replaced on it. Musta been built on a Monday or Friday. Save or spend the extra dollars for the Toyotas. Ya can't beat em dmgor reliable transportation. Toyota leroy...1 point

I’m looking to add another birth year Marlin to the stable. The Model 1894 was re-released in 1969. I had one from 1976 but sold it recently. If anyone has one from 1969 they want to let go or if you hear of one or see one, please let me know.1 point

So my latest acquisition in the realm of lever guns is a Marlin model 1889 born in 1890. Octagonal barrel, chambered in the venerable.44-40. Looks to be all original. She is old but still shoots straight. The condition was a bit more rough than I thought it would be (the auction photos were dark), but a little TLC to the wood and some gentle work on the barrel and she looks better. The barrel and receiver are mostly now a dark brown patina (rust). The barrel was a little rough. Not wanting to hit it with sandpaper which could round the edges of the octagonal barrel, I took a chance and ran a Case Knife oil stone up and down the barrel flats with lots of oil, it worked like a charm.1 point

Yep, I would probably carry 38+P as well. In fact I do in my Kimber K6 But the option is there if needed1 point

Not advocating ignoring reloading manuals, but a noted big time bullet supplier said lawyers complicate things. If your OAL compressed the powder charge it would be a different story, otherwise I wouldn't worry about a nominal change of length in standard loadings.1 point

This big heavy b*stard poked his head out of the safe at me the other day so I thought I'd take him out, take a couple pics, and throw him up for sale just in time for Santa to deliver him to a new home. Egyptian Hakim 8mm mauser Clean specimen but it's not without its "character" which shows up on the stock more than anywhere else. Metal has tons of stamps and markings and a more knowledgeable collector of these can probably identify more about it than I can. It comes as you see it with 1 included magazine. Looking for $1250 cash Only single trade I'm looking for right now is a 1301 Tactical mod 2 ( yes, I'm aware there is one on here ) but I'm trying to get better about impulse buying (yes, I'm aware the humor in that statement if you know me ) I'm in east tn but occasionally find myself traveling to other parts of the state. Shipping it is possible but if you know this rifle you also know it ain't light lol. And with the holiday near shipping ANYTHING will be a PITA. More pics available for serious folks. I just snapped these quick before it went back into the safe. MERRY CHRISTMAS !1 point

I probably would too, but I wouldn’t be shooting .357s through it. In a small package like a Mdl 36, .38 spl is plenty. Even through a 3” .357 K-frame, most carry .38 rounds.1 point

Don't have the BOG, I went with the Primos Trigger Tripod, but got this for it. Works pretty good with my PCP .22 rifle and backyard squirrels, but it feels hefty enough should take larger caliber as well.1 point

Do you have a positive ID on the culprit? Is he in fact a fireman? If so, contact his Chief and the Mayor of his town/county. Most cities/counties have an ethics clause in their employment rules that allows for termination for people who's actions bring dishonor to their department. He may think twice if his job is on the line.1 point

You know, this makes me wonder. The OP has stated that they have gotten more aggressive this last year. I wonder if they have been feeling emboldened by the decision that we all were happy about, and I still am, regarding the state constitutions private property protections, and the prohibition against utilizing open fields doctrine. I imagine that the TWRA would leap at the chance to place cameras with landowner consent to catch folks hunting illegally. if the ne’er do wells were to abscond with the TWRA’s cameras, I have to imagine that they would bring the hammer down with great vengeance and furious anger.1 point
