Bought new at Harveys pistol and pawn. This has been carried quite a bit, and has had 202 rounds fired through it. It has some honest holster wear but Zero issues and the tritium glows bright in the front sight. Fantastic little revolver, I've just decided I'd rather consolidate calibers for now. It comes in the orginal box, and includes 98 rounds of Lost River Ammo .32 HR mag full wadcutters, an American Fight Revolver pocket holster and an American Fighting Revolver appendix holster. $750 for everything. Thats around what I paid for the pistol, so you get both holsters and the ammo for free. The ammo was designed with this gun in mind, and the holsters are both fantastic pieces. Meet up local to Knoxville, or I'm driving down towards Harrison/Chattanooga tomorrow morning, Friday the 27th of Dec. And can meet along the way.4 points

Good evening, hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I started my own landscaping business this year and am in need of work to at least get me through the off season. With that being said, I know this is a long shot, but I figured I’d put a few lines in the water and see if there are any members that own their own business and are looking for help. Thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to read this and or assist in any way!2 points

Right. I’m talking about the same. If electronic funds were shut down and you had no emergency cash, you couldn’t eat or buy gas or anything. I’m not talking about a long term deal, but just a random emergency. Investing involves risk. I’m good with that.2 points

I did more than a few deals with Jim. Always gracious, always kind, NEVER had a quick visit. My wife and I "stopped by" one day and she and Kathy spent an hour talking like old friends in the garden while Jim and I talked about everything under the sun. Super smart guy, and truly a class act. He will most assuredly be missed by many. As the Jewish saying goes, "May his memory be a blessing".2 points

Not certain that will work in all circumstances. Pistol loads may only use 3 - 4 grains of powder. Brass will vary more than that.2 points

Do any of you have one of these? I have one waiting at my FFL to pickup Friday. Been kinda wanting to add one to my RIA family. Ordered it last week when they were $349 , they’re up to $399 now. What are your thoughts and experiences with them? Where do you get your ammo? They also have a promotion for 100 rounds and a magazine. https://palmettostatearmory.com/rock-island-premium-fs-22-tcm-5-17rds-pistol-black-56877.html I did pickup a box of ammo locally for $26 . Nifty looking stuff1 point

Thought I messed up and double charged a 9mm round. Talking on the phone instead of paying attention. I was having a little temporary issue with my LNL reloader but had a system to measure each round…. just did not recall specifically doing so on one case. So I had about 50 rounds to check. Bought a RCBS collet bullet puller. Great product pulling coated flat nose bullets. No damage to bullets, full recovery of all components. As it turned out…no double charge, but better safe than sorry. I’ve always said one can’t save money reloading if you blow your gun up and/or injure yourself and accumulate medical bills along the way.1 point

12-26-2024 Remington Golden Bullets, 36 gr HP, 1280 FPS, Lot#N07KB3 Picked up some on the 23rd, bucket of bullets, 1400 rounds. I have had some good luck with this ammo before, not this time. They load/feed, shoot and eject okay but I could not get a group out of them. Shooting at 30 yards, 10 or 15 round mags. 6 or 7 rounds would group at 2 inches then the other rounds would open up to 5 to 6 inches, no 2 rounds would hit anywhere near each other. This is the worst 22lr ammo I have ever shot. Also, the ammo was extremely dirty. A few rounds sounded/felt under powered, not many. All rounds fired on first try. This from a modified Ruger 10/22, the same equipment will put 5 Aquila Extra Super into 1/2 inch or less at same range. Very disappointed in the results. Just a FYI from my experience today.1 point

I have had bad luck with the Golden Bullets in the past. Don't purchase them any longer. I had problems with misfires in 3 different guns.1 point

@Jthamasta I may consider splitting up this rifle and sell the action, stock, and barrel separately if it does not sell as a complete unit. I see the threaded 16.5-in threaded varmint barrels come up for sale frequently on rimfire central.1 point

Merry Christmas All. We were blessed by this this morning: "My Substitute" by Sir James Young Simpson, a pioneer of anesthetics in the 1800's - When I was a boy at school I saw a sight I never can forget - a man tied to a cart dragged before the people's eyes through the streets of my native town, his back torn and bleeding from the lash. It was a shameful punishment. For MANY offences? No, for one offence. Did any of the townsmen offer to divide the lashes with him? No, he who committed the offence bore the penalty all alone. It was the penalty of a changing human law, for it was the last instance of its infliction. When I was a student at the university I saw another sight I never can forget – a man brought out to die. His arms were pinioned, his face was already as pale as death, thousands of eager eyes were on him as he came up from the jail in sight. Did any man ask to die in his room? Did any friend come and loose the ropes and say: "Put it around my neck, I die instead?" No, he underwent the sentence of the law. For MANY offences? No, for one offence. He had stolen a money parcel from a stage-coach. He broke the law at one point, and died for it. It was the penalty of a changing human law in this case also. It was the last instance of capital punishment being inflicted for that offence. I saw another sight, it matters not when – myself a sinner standing on the brink of ruin, deserving nought but Hell. For ONE sin? No, for many, many sins committed against the unchanging laws of God. But again, I looked and saw Jesus, my Substitute, scourged in my stead, and dying on the Cross for me. I looked, and wept, and was forgiven. And it seemed to me to be my duty to tell you of that Saviour, to see if you will not also "look and live". And how simple it all becomes when God opens the eye. A friend who lately came from Paris told me of an English groom there, a very careless old man, who had during a severe illness been made to feel that he was a sinner. He dared not die as he was. The clergyman whom he sent for got tired of visiting him, having told him all he then knew of the way of salvation. But one Sunday afternoon the groom's daughter waited in the vestry after Church, saying "You must come once more, sir; I cannot see my father again without you". "I can tell him nothing new", said the preacher; "but I may take the sermon I have been preaching and read it to him". The dying man lay as before in anguish, thinking of his sins, and whither they must carry him. "My friend, I have come to read to you the sermon I have just preached. First, I shall tell you of the text: 'He was wounded for our transgressions'. Now I shall read". "Hold!" said the dying man; I have it! Read no more. He was wounded for MY transgressions". Soon after he died rejoicing in Christ.1 point

Agree the 1301 is a great shotgun, but after they jacked up the price to "differentiate" it from the A300, I'm not sure it's worth what they're trying to get now. I would buy A300 tactical before I spent $1600-1700 on another 1301. And with the recent ATF decision to ban further imports, I'm not sure there is going to be any downward pressure on the prices.1 point

As a miserable old boomer I'm pretty old school. The Amish around here make very high quality leather goods at good prices. Their 1.5 inch, 13/14 oz belts with stainless buckles and screws go for around twenty bucks. Takes a few years to wear the new off but once broken in they last a few lifetimes.1 point

The simple fact is that the vast majority of money in this world doesn't actually physically exist. Its nothing more than 1s & 0s in a computer somewhere. Think about that for a minute. One major computer crash could wipe out millions. My pension and SS are direct deposit. I wasn't given a choice. That's the only way I could get it. They quit mailing out monthly checks a long time ago. I don't make automatic payments for anything either. I'm old fashioned, I write and mail out checks to pay my bills each month. Crazy? Behind the times? Maybe. But nobody has access to my bank account but me and the bank itself. I prefer it that way. I have one credit card which is used primarily for internet purchases. I pay off the balance at the end of each month. I also pay cash for my purchases whenever possible. I stay in complete control of my money as much as is possible these days.1 point
