I’ve had this RR for many years - and it was re-parkerized so some of the lettering is light. With that said, the park-job is very solid. The pistol shows to be a 1945 - P stamped barrel - L stamped magazine, so all is era correct. Awesome old piece that never sees any action here so may as well rehome it. $1350.002 points

Headed to a pheasant hunting farm at the start of the year. Finally was able to run down some 2-1/2" Non-Toxic 16 gauge shells (Old Stock RST) so I'm going to take the ole German Drilling (1907) Went last year and it was fun times but was borderline hot being the last day of the season. Hoping it will be around 40-45 degrees this time! If you haven't been and have a hankering to, google Branching Out Gamebirds out of Paris/Camden2 points

One good thing about the RXM is for those who have a solder gun and like to stipple is that you ruin a $40 part and not the whole pistol.2 points

I don’t think anyone will try to argue the reliability of a ‘genuine’ glock. Time will bear out this new offering’s place on that scale. It sure as hell won’t be near the polymer80 end of the scale. The modularity seems to be a focus. Whether modularity is an appeal or not, the other aspect that is a significant selling point is the preference based ergonomics. That is what originally drove the clone wars. I have many Glocks, but I won’t ever pretend they have favorable ergos and acknowledge they have a specific training need due to the grip angle. I like that this allows for more standardized training around presentation across platforms. And yes, the modularity2 points

Hey all, My name is Dan. I am from the Chattanooga area. I am in the Marine Reserves now and just moved here from my last duty station in 2023. So not too familiar with the area and the different ranges available. I have a number of guns: pistols, shotguns, ARs, bolt action, and M1A. I really enjoy skeet/trap and 3-gun. Any recommendations for ranges, guns, accessories/gear, etc etc, is much appreciated.1 point

Please read ALL the details! This is NOT a regular American, although it mostly looks like one. Barreled action is from the compact model, so only 20" Stock is from the regular model, with AICS mag well & MDT 10 round mag & adjustable cheek riser installed. I had the chamber re-cut from standard to .223 Wylde & throated specifically to shoot heavier, long projectiles & take maximum advantage of the 1:8 twist. The bolt has been refinished & polished to get rid of the infamous 'zip-zip' noise. I also installed a beautiful Timney trigger that is hands down THE single nicest trigger I've ever tried. Dead on 2lb break with zero slop or creep. I can happily & easily put 30 rounds into a 1.25" 100yd group & it will maintain that accuracy of to 800yds I've got much, much more invested in the rifle than I'm asking, but I also understand that to most folk it's "just a Ruger American" I don't know my exact round count, certainly over 500, but well under 1000. The rifle WILL come with the rings but without the scope. The scope will be available with the rifle, or possibly after it sells. It's an SWFA 6x42 milquad with mil turrets. VERY highly sought after & has been unobtanium for a couple of years now. It won't hurt my feelings at all to keep it. I have 3 others & a spare couldn't hurt. $500 for the rifle, $400 for the scope.1 point

Finished the small deck I built for my wife last week and had some material left over. I had 2 outdoor tables I built out of treated pine 15 years ago. I got them up on the patio and took my high-pressure washer and cleaned the dirt and funk off them, then decided to rebuild them. The tops were 1 x 4 treated pine that had become pretty rough. If one was not careful you could get a splinter while using them. I took the old tops off and started my rebuild. My wife wanted one of them to use as a potting table. Both tables were 3' x3' in size. I took some 2x4 and widened one to 4' x 3'. I had some Trek flooring left so I used it to put a new top on her table. It turned out pretty good and she liked it. When the weather warms, in the spring, I am going to seal the old and new wood with Thompsons Water Seal and help prolong the table's lives. It cleaned up well and I had to replace some of the structure because a couple pieces had split and rotted. The other table was on my shooting range, and I have been using it out there for several years. It was in a little worse shape, but I decided to rebuild it also. As I tore the top off, I decided I wanted to widen it, and also put a rifle shooting side on it and make it multi use. I am right-handed so I extended the same side back an extra 18" and cut one of the side pieces of trek on a slant, starting at 6" going to 0" over the 18" length to allow me to get closer to the extended area when my Led Sled was sitting on the top of the table. I finished the last table today. I took my Sled and one of my rifles out today and the thing worked great. I can scoot right up to the sled and access the sights without being in a strain whatsoever. Actually, it is perfect when using the rifle and rest. I am totally surprised how well both tables had held up over the years. They have set on bare ground for their lifetimes. I only had to cut about 1" off the 4 legs, due to rot, which is great considering their life span was 15 years and they have never been sealed, not one time. I plan to take better care of them in the near future. The cost was minimal, and they should last until I don't need them any longer. Sometimes, one just hits a home run guys!1 point

I bought this one new earlier this summer with plans on adding a scope and shooting the heck out of it but that never happened. It's still unfired and now ready for a new owner. I bought it at my local shop but included a screenshot below from KYGUNCO to show details if you want to research this particular model more. Feel free to PM with any questions. $5501 point

glock 45 (used but in very good condition). factory box with manual (no bore brush or rod or lock). one Glock factory 17 round mag included. what you see in the pictures is what you get. this is NOT an mos version. trying to "thin the herd" a bit and sell a few duplicate (or close) guns so letting this one go. i will NOT travel more than 25 miles from rocky hill in west knoxville (37919) to sell. buyer must show TN ID (prefer HCP) and be willing to sign a bill of sale to prove they can legally purchase. if you are not 100% legit please don't contact me. i will not sell to anyone that even has the hint of not being legal to purchase. happy to answer any questions or provide more information or pictures to seriously interested parties. $425 cash. i'm old school. no weird e-payments or checks. trades up or down considered but not likely. thanks for looking.1 point

^^^This^^^ You have a short scope and a relatively long action. Offset ring are the simplest answer.1 point

When a major network kills one of its most successful shows due to politics, it shows just how committed they are to the liberal agenda. Scary, ain't it?1 point

Figures. I also loved that show. Hate to see then cancel it, and hate even more the reason why!1 point

Just adding another update to this. Shooter's Nashville does transfers for $35 total ($25 Fee + &10 BGC). They are located at 575 Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville. Same strip mall that Gun City used to be in. I stopped in there yesterday and they confirmed this was accurate. They appeared more than happy to do them when I asked, unlike the attitude I get when asking at some other establishments. https://www.shootersnashville.com/ffl1 point

If it's just light freckling, you'd be surprised what rubbing it gently with 0000 steel wool and oil will do to remove it.1 point

Updated 12/13/2024. Just got a text from Kathy and Jim passed away this morning. AuEagle (Jim) has been fighting some serious health issues for the last year or so. He fell recently and broke his hip. He has not been able to bounce back from the fall and surgery with everything else going on. He went into hospice last week. He hadn't responded to my texts the last couple of days so I knew something was up. I just spoke to his wife this morning and he doesn't have long left. Please keep him and his wife Kathy in your prayers for a peaceful passing. Jim and I have been friends for many years and I was at his house just a couple of months ago. He told me then he was at peace and ready whenever God called him home. The fall was unexpected and basically just moved the timeline up some. It's been a tough couple of weeks. Another dear friend who was my office manager for years and a 2nd momma to me found out she had brain cancer 4 months ago. She went into hospice yesterday. I visited with her this morning. I am always amazed how fast an illness can move. This is a reminder to tell the people important in your life what they mean to you now. Things can change in the blink of an eye.0 points

Up for sale is my Brand New, strait from TTI Sand Viper. As you can see it still has the factory grease on the gun. Price is firm at $7100. This gun will have to be transferred through an FFL or I can ship to an FFL of your choosing for $25. I will consider trades on Factory Engraved Colts, Engraved Colt Single Actions, Colt Single Actions with Ivory, and Angelo Bee Engraved Firearms. Thanks!0 points
