  2. Up for sale is my Brand New, strait from TTI Sand Viper. As you can see it still has the factory grease on the gun. Price is firm at $7100. This gun will have to be transferred through an FFL or I can ship to an FFL of your choosing for $25. I will consider trades on Factory Engraved Colts, Engraved Colt Single Actions, Colt Single Actions with Ivory, and Angelo Bee Engraved Firearms. Thanks!

  3. A lot of good points to consider. I have fired my 44, 7.5" Blackhawk in the dark, and couldn't see enough to follow up or know if I hit any thing. Muzzle flash is fun when you're plinking but could be real trouble when seeing is everything. Somebody mentioned an excessive volume is unwanted. If you've ever fired a gun indoors you know how loud it is. Even with good ear muffs it will surprise you. With out ear protection you'll be deaf for hours. They don't show that in the movies.

  4. I went nuts on lasers when they first started coming out. Now I only keep a laser on my bedside pistol. The reason I stopped using them is that in daylight they are hard to see and I don't want to be looking for the red dot as the bad guy fires on me. A green laser is easier to see in daylight. If I had a choice, it would be green. I still have three Crimson Trace lasers, at night they are a formidable asset.

  5. I've never been much for hanging extra stuff on handguns. In all probability, if you have to use it, its gonna be close range and fast. You'll probably just be point shooting anyway. However, I do have one old S&W Model 10 with CT laser grips on it. It came to me with them. I took it to the range to check the zero and guess what? The laser is almost useless in daylight. I had to look hard at the target just to find the dot! I do like the CT setup. Just grab the grip and the laser comes on. Indoors it works just fine. So I now use this as one of my house guns. I'll never carry it, but it works well inside the house.

  6. $1500 now $1400 now $1300 Great condition, all new springs, only have about 100 rounds on them. This is the 45 ACP 5 inch government model with the light rail. Also comes with Dan Wesson walnut grips. Would consider trades on a 308 AR or quality bolt action (must be threaded)

  8. This is a Hayes Custom 2011 6” Sighttracker in 9mm with an Infinity island barrel, Cheely steel grip module with a large magwell, pinned grip safety, 2.5# trigger, extended mag release, fiber optic front sight and an LPA rear. It is not optic cut or ported. It is a custom build by Hayes and is as it was from them. It will come with 3x 23 round MBX magazines and a soft carry case. It has approximately 250 rounds through it. Looking for $4500, new it was north of $6000. I’m firm on the price and may entertain trades of similar value.

  10. Colt 22 LR Revolver Collector's Item for sale. Colt Single Action Frontier Scout 22 LR Lawman Series - Pat Garrett. These Colt Commemorative models were made back in 1960 - 1970's. 11. For sale: Tikka T3x Varmint Heavy 23.7" Barrel Blued - Not Threaded .223 Remington Excellent Condition 1-8" Twist I purchased this from a fellow TGO member a few years ago. I have enjoyed shooting 60 gr. Hornady V-Max through it. With the 1-8" Twist, it stabilizes heavier bullets well. It comes with a flush magazine as well as a higher capacity magazine (it needs a new spring). Tikka actions are buttery smooth. Low mileage and in wonderful condition. Scope and rings do not come with the rifle. 11/21 - I will throw in Hornady 60 gr. V-Max Bullets (150 each) and Nosler Brass (131 each 1x fired and 85 2x - all fired in this rifle). Plus, Sierra 69 gr. HPBT and 77 gr. HPBT bullets (98 each - I used two of each to determine COAL for loads I never worked up). $600 Cash OBO Would consider 6mm ARC Dies, Brass, etc. as partial trade Must have a Tennessee Carry Permit and/or good feedback on this forum.

  14. Bama beat Auburn in the Iron Bowl...not that it matters or anyone cares. But I thought after the ass-kicking Oklahoma gave 'Bama, Auburn would just photo copy the OU game plan & repeat it. Instead, they let Milroe run around and make plays with his legs. I'm happy for 'Bama. But that's it for them this year. Weird seeing them on the outside looking in. College football has been great to watch this year.

  18. Good to be back. Was a member here years ago (approx 10). Life got busy and I dropped out of TGO. Meet several great people here. Some may still be here, some may have gone on to their heavenly reward. If you met me years ago as ftncityfatboy, hit me up. I'm getting ready to retire so hopefully I can stay better in touch. Good to be back.

  21. Maybe, but it also simplifies the shot. Simply paint the target with a a visible dot and pull the trigger; stance, body position, sight alignment, “finding the dot in a window” don’t matter.

  22. Not on many new firearms now a days. Seem to be mostly available an add on. Would only consider one built into the grip. Under barrel is a no go. Can be of use at home for a inside night time threat engagement. On the negative side, it shows the assailant exactly where you are. h

  23. To me, lasers are in the same group as compensators and red dot optic sights, they are not needed on an EDC gun. IMO, 99% of situations are going to be close up, and probably going to happen fast, as in no time to think about anything. And this is why I dont carry anything big, with lots of rounds. A single stack 380 or 9mm is what I carry all the time. I dont see needing more than 7 rounds. Just my humble opinion of course.

  24. I've had this gun for 8 years. Original owner. Purchased from Buds. Unfortunately, it became a safe sitter, and I need to downsize my collection. This is as rare of a precision gun as there is. If you know this gun you know the legendary legacy it has. This is the same action and barrel (just stainless) that the legendary M24 was equipped with. This rifle is clean. It has been kept in a dry safe it's entire life. Less than 350 rounds (likely less than 200 rounds.) Trigger is very light and adjustable. Crisp. Manufacturer: Remington Model :700 Milspec 5R Caliber :.308 Win (7.62x51 NATO) Barrel: Stainless steel heavy contour 5R Barrel Length:24" Twist: 1:11.2" RH Trigger: Remington XMarkPro Stock: HS Precision Kevlar Composite Metal Finish: Matte Stainless Weight: 8.25 lbs (3.75 kg) Overall Length: 41.75" $1050 obo PM me please. *Must be a TN resident and legally allowed to own a firearm. Must be willing to fill out a bill of sale. Provide ID either Driver's License or a CCP.

  31. A few more than I had when I lived in a communist state. Nearly enough until the next one catches my eye. I keep telling my son I'm spending his inheritance. He says as long as it is invested in guns and garage expansion it is fine with him. He did think I needed a nice 2 seat sports car.

  32. smoking something . . . A minty one went to auction last year and fetched $480K. So 2 for the price of 3 seems excessive just because of consecutive S/Ns, but admittedly, I don't play in that rarified air so what do I know?

  34. I would never use a non rimfire suppressor on a rimfire. They fill up with lead quick. You really need a serviceable can that can be put in the sonic cleaner. Some manufacturers will "clean" it for you.
