  1. I am a shotgun connoisseur - you'll be hard pressed to find a broader collection of the world's finest production shotguns (game, field, and tactical) in most counties. I don't deal in bespoke customs - I prefer the best versions of production guns that anyone can buy. Every time Beretta, Browning, Benelli, and Remington come out with a new design, the highest trim version eventually finds its way to my safes. With that said, I have several Turkish clones, and I love them. I've dabbled in the original designs, and they are hit and miss, but the clones of the Benelli system with interchangeable parts are reliable, inexpensive, and deadly. I have several set up for loaners, trainers, pre-deployed guns at defensive choke points, and behind the counter shop guns in case someone decided to threaten my staff with injury. There are probably more rounds through these clones than 90% of my other shotguns, save for my personal tactical, and training guns (M1, M4, 1301, A300). They are good to go. Straight from a shotgun snob who happens to sell and shoot thousands of guns, and isn't even offering anything for sale.

  2. This gun is phenomenal, I’m only selling because I shoot my C2 better and tend to train more with that since it’s my EDC. Shoots flawlessly, has a brand new recoil spring. Also comes with 3 extra factory weight recoil springs and one lightweight spring. Also including 3 20rd factory Staccato mags. Comes with a Leupold Delta Point Pro 2.5MOA red dot which is mounted and zeroed. New Tier 1 Xiphos holster is included as well. Staccato case, manual, paperwork, extra magazine spring, original rear sight and patch also included. Shows minor signs of wear on safety lever, grip safety and barrel. This is the aluminum frame version so it’s light enough to carry if you can get away with a full size. Cash price $2400 in Spring Hill/Franklin Withdrawn for now Open to partial trades: -Walther PDP Pro SD Compact -Walther PDP Match Steel -9mm FMJ Factory Ammo -BCM .300BLK Complete Upper 9” or 12.5” -Canik TTI Combat -Might be open to others, just let me know what you have.

  3. I gotta disagree with #4. Real ramen from a good ramen place is nothing like Maruchan instant or Cup-O-Noodles. That's like comparing Waffle House T-Bones to Ruth's Chris

  4. It’s Thanksgiving. I’m wondering how so many people always have stuff to complain about. We do still live in the greatest country in the world, right? We’ve just elected an incoming president who is going to make things even better, right? What’s to complain about? Things change, and I’d hate to live in a world that doesn’t. I’d suggest some of you start looking for the good instead of clinging to the past. There’s abundant life happening now! “Time slips away and leaves you with nothing mister, but boring stories of…glory days.” - The Boss

  5. Part of this reminds me of a story I heard John Chaney tell. He said: "My grandfather walked 10 miles to work and my father walked 5. I drive a Cadillac and my son is in a Mercedez. My grandson will be driving a Ferrari, but my great-grandson will be walking again because tough times create strong men; strong men create easy times; easy times create weak men; weak men create tough times. Many will not understand, but you have to raise warriors."

  9. Well that's my thought anyway, especially in 9mm. Increases noise especially under a roof, building, car, etc. Increases muzzle flash. If added on, increases barrel length. Increased liklihood of malfunction. Increases debris and need for cleaning. Especially a concern if shooting from retention which may be likely in SD situations. This can result in hot gasses in face, possibly metal debris from lead or jacketed bullets. A likely decrease in velocity and even moreso in short barreled firearms. Well that's just for starters and given the rather minimal recoil produced by 9mm.....unneccessary.

  10. I can't count that way. "one" "two" "many" sounds like "one too many" and we know that's not true.

  12. Just to be clear, I don't want any add ons on my carry piece. I even prefer fixed sights, no optics, on lights, no comp. Slide cuts maybe, but only factory original. I'm not against some minor internal work, feed ramp, sear. But in a self defense situation one wants the simplest most reliable firearm with no mods to keep the ambulance chasers at bay. And of course,,,work as intended.

  27. Old geezers like me have been complaining about the younger generations since before Aristotle, plato and Socrates. It wouldn't surprise me too much to learn that my grandfather complained about my generation. Of course, I was the exception. And let's not even start about the complaints those kids have about us boomers! Happy Thanksgiving and leftover day to all!

  28. Incorrect. Go ahead and push on your barrel mounted comp and see what happens at the breech. Yes, old school rail mounted standoffs work, but no modern compensators are configured that way.

  30. Scotty is spot on here. I just wanted to add one thing: If you do get a 19X and want compatibility with gen 5 mags you can change or modify the base plate. I kind of hate the lip on the 19X... it's its one disadvantage. But I don't think I could bring myself to cut it off unless absolutely necessary. Also the +2 base plates on 17 round mags work with the 19X as well.

  35. I've got one Geissele and a several MBTs. I think the G trigger may be a hair better but not worth the price difference. All my rifles are hunting or home defense guns so the Larue is more than enough for me and of course much better than a mil-spec. I know their are better triggers for long range precision shooters but I don't believe they'd serve me any better than what I have.

  37. The Army seems to be the bottom of the barrel as far as quality goes. I have been to a some week long Drug Schools that were being held on Navy bases. We (police) were staying in their barracks and eating in their dining halls. Their food was awesome and their barracks looked great. Then I went to an Interview and Interrogation class at an Army base in Mississippi . The food tasted like it was all instant , the eggs were powdered eggs , and all the buildings looked like they were built back in the 50's. So I guess it depends on which branch of military it is. They should all get equal treatment as far as I am concerned.

  38. Just like your dad health, Slappy, my health, in my later years, has been "somewhat" hurt with my exposure to agent orange while serving in Vietnam. I had a bad heart attack on April 15 of this year. My windowmaker was 100% blocked with a blood clot, and they took me to the hospital in an ambulance. As I left the front drive, I lost complete use of my arms/legs and started sweating profusely. In my mind I totally concentrating on what was happening to me that I forgot my wife was in the front seat of the ambulance. She spoke up and I felt guilty that I was concentrating on myself so completely. I silently said a prayer and asked God to spare my life so she would not be forced to lose me, at that time, and be forced to bury me and mourn my passing. We will have been married 55 years in February. God had mercy on us and granted my request. My feeling came back to my body and somehow, I knew I was going to come home from the Hospital. Like your dad, I have been granted some more time, through God's grace and mercy to me and my sweet wife. I am 76 and Lord willing, if I make it 77 in March. This is wonderful time for me, and all I think about now is doing whatever God has for me to do. Also, I am a Christian. As all that was happening to me, I was totally at peace with my death walk and had complete confidence Jesus Christ was going to do for me what has been promised within the pages of the Bible. I had NO fear of death because of "His" (Jesus's) promises. I told you all I felt guilty for only thinking of myself. Thank God, He has made me understand why. When we pass in the next realm no one makes that walk with someone with them. One goes to the next realm by oneself. Guys, I tell you all, prepare yourselves to make that walk. I had every confidence that I was going to Paradice at that time. You can read this for yourself if you get a Bible and turn to (Luke 16:19-31). It is not hard to understand what happens when we leave this realm (pass on). The angels came and got poor Lazarus. I was ready to meet the angels, guys. Are you? I want to be with Lazarus and the other saints in Paradice when my soul goes to the next realm. I had "Totally" no fear. As I said, I am trying to do good here. Please prepare yourselves.

  39. I love compensated guns. When I saw Colt decided to drill ports into the Anaconda, I knew I end up with one. And here it is. I will say I am impressed with the build quality they are now delivering. Some may recall the Anaconda I had posted here a year ago or so which had to go back home for timing and barrel cant corrections. Colt did a fantastic job taking care of it, but left me of the opinion that they still had production bugs to work out. Happy to report this Kodiak is perfect in every way. Not only is the build quality spot-on, but the action is even a little slicker than the Anaconda's was. Very much looking forward to seeing how it shoots

  40. Finally spent some time in the shop with my pops back when it was cold. Built an Alamo style bowie just because it was cool. Used 1084 hot rolled bar stock, 2.t" wide by 1/4" thick. Blade is almost 3" wide and a foot long. Through tang construction with brass ring and butt cap, mild steel guard that was hot punched and scrolled, then fit hot and quenched for a friction fit. Im pretty proud of this one, and still building memories with Dad at 70.

  41. Not disagreeing with you entirely, but yes to your question about testing and field work ... Benelli did it. If they are making a true clone then there is little difference. Then you are looking at individual parts that if they don't hold up can be replaced with Benelli or better aftermarket parts. I have used the Hawk/IAC/Pardener 870 clones and believe they are better than the Remington's. The Hawk I have, actually has a better grade steel than Remington's due to US EPA regulations and it takes straight 870 part with only a slight modification to the forearm. It's not different than 1911's or AR's other than scale.
