For sale is a Anschutz Model 1416 22lr. Gun comes with one factory magazine, and is a ‘one hole’ gun. I’ve shot it a few times and it shoots like magic. Makes somebody’s Christmas really special this year or just buy it for yourself… This is a collectible gun at an excellent price. It has beautiful wood with a few very slight safe bumps. Take this girl home today. Prefer a local meet at my office in Brentwood, or I do travel towards Smithville on the weekends. I would rather sell it here than at auction so I don’t have to ship it, but I’m not gonna give this one away. Sold5 points

Regarding Reporting Posts... A change made with the most recent software update is that we now require a statement, or comment, when our members report a post to the moderating team. You can no longer report a post without providing some commentary on why you are reporting it. You might be surprised at how many times the moderators and I have scratched our heads wondering why a post was reported. Sometimes it is obvious, but often it hasn't been. Providing this information just helps us help you.4 points

For sale is a Kimber of Oregon model 82 that comes with the factory sights. This was a rare upgrade and an option that was normally reserved for the SuperAmerica guns. Great insight @Darrell Saban left because the NIL money was going to make his life a living hell. He'd accomplished what he set out to achieve and it was time to move on. Any coach that followed him was going to fall short. Why DeBoer bailed on Washington to take a job he couldn't help but be measured as a failure at, surprised me. Time will tell if he can turn things around but 'Bama fans are not going to wait very long before demanding a coaching change. The bar was set so high by Saban, they are spoiled & impatient. They expect a "W" every week. With NIL money bringing some parity, those years of sustained success may be over, regardless of who the coach is.2 points

The situation at Alabama is interesting. Saban never had to pay the big money for players that a lot of other schools did. Top-tier players saw how many Bama players went on the the NFL and quite a few were willing to leave aside the immediate money for the benefit of Saban's coaching. As a result, Alabama wasn't in the right position when the NIL rulings came down. (although they DO have one of the highest "payrolls right now). Tennessee, on the other hand, was quick to respond with a big-money NIL collective. Saban was disdainful of paying players, while a lot of other coaches (think Jimbo) saw it as the way to go. When Saban left Alabama a lot of his best players decided to utilize the portal to leave and get paid a LOT more. 39 players left the program after Saban retired. Yeah, they were still loaded, but that's a wholesale change, and the effect is amplified by the coaching change. My favorite team, the UW Huskies, lost their entire coaching staff and 20 of their 22 starters from 2023 to the portal, graduation, and the draft. They went from playing in the national championship game for 23 to just barely becoming bowl-eligible this year. The teams that are doing best are the teams with the biggest payrolls. Ohio St., Whoregon, and Texas are all at the top of the heap. What a surprise, huh?2 points

My favorite thing about sling bags is that I can easily spin it around to my chest to access the interior w/out taking it off. This also comes in handy in tighter spots because you can swing it around to the side to shimmy between people in a crowd for instance. I may be nitpicking on this one, but backpack straps always block my access to shirt pockets, which I use a lot. Also, I don't tote enough stuff to warrant a backpack and slings tend to be smaller, which I prefer (10-15 liters is my ideal size). A fair drawback is that all the weight is on one shoulder instead of two. You could also say that the smaller size means less capacity, so that one can go both ways.1 point

I have no experience using sling bags-- can you enlighten me on the advantages you see in them...any drawbacks?1 point

Ok guys. Up for sale or trade is a cool different take on the AR platform. Basically a special lower receiver and BCG. Install an AR15 platform upper receiver and you’re good to go. The stock is a Remington 1100/870 style stock. Currently has a complete Aero upper receiver. Accepts normal AR magazines. Will come with 3-30rnd pmags. Has a Magpul fore grip installed. Magpul MBUS PRO iron sights. Monstrum 1-10x24 mm LPVO. It is less intimidating for new shooters IMO. Today it is up for sale or trade. New these things run 1300 plus stripped down. I think a fair starting point is 1000 with mags, sights, optic, and grip. I’m always willing to listen to offers. Trade interest are AR15/10 lowers stripped or complete. MOS version of the 9mm Glocks. Decent semi auto 12ga shotguns. Always interested in fair priced ammo as a trade option. 9mm,357Sig, 5.56/223, 308/7.62nato. East TN area. Knoxville to Chattanooga could work for meet.1 point

I’d like to see Kiffin eventually get the position. Sark would be my first choice, but he is perfectly settled at Texas. Bama fans should have known this season was going to be a failure when the players were bragging about how much fun they were having in camp and how laid back things were. It’s going to take a lot to come back from this disaster, and I doubt Deboer can get it done.1 point

Deboer doesn’t understand the concept of using his stud running backs in the SEC.1 point

I’m a member at GOVX. Some of their stuff can be found cheaper, but sometimes they have some pretty good deals. This one looks good, but you have to a member to log in and see the price. Membership is free but you have to be military, LEO or first responder with credentials. Retired is also ok, and I think just veteran is too. When I looked just now it said $149.98! Bama has long received a little extra in their ratings because of their history. Of course they've fielded great teams for a very long time, but rightly or wrongly, their tradition carries some weight with the voters.1 point

Hey all, I went to Barton's Creek this morning, found a couple very nice wheat fields, however not quite ready for the dove, still a bit too green... Sat for over an hour, saw 10-12 birds, only 1 in range, missed him... had one on the run very early in the AM going between lines of trees but just out of range... all in all, a good 4 hours of scouting1 point

I have one. Not much to look at, but completely reliable and combat accurate. Good gun. Norincos were used as a base for many very nice custom guns because they were so cheap. Yeah, the steel is very hard. I've also heard the old railroad track rumors. I've also heard that if the custom job included any mill work that the gunsmith would add the cost of a new cutter bit as the steel would ruin the one he used. I originally bought mine with the idea of customizing it. But then it occurred to me that there aren't many box stock Norinco 1911s left out there. So I left it alone. Buy it and be sure to post pictures.1 point
