Now that Republicans have control of all three branches, it would be the best time to push for this to pass. @Worriedman, is TFA and or GOA in any discussions to get this pushed through before we lose steam in this new administration? I just got a T-Rex Arms Ironside Hybrid IWB kydex holster with a a soft backer. According to the manufacturer, who is in Centerville, here in TN I think, the backer is constructed of a soft, breathable, low-maintenance material called Alcantra. It is supposed to be water and stain resistant, and unlike leather or similar materials, it stays warm in the winter and cool into e summer. Only worn it twice so far but I’ll tell you this, it’s the most comfortable IWB I’ve ever worn. Fits my Sig P-365xMacro Spectre like a glove. I love it so far! I know at least one other on TGO has one.3 points

One of the nicest pistols you will ever see or hold, the Browning Medalist 22lr is phenomenal. It is as accurate as it is gorgeous. Comes like new in the display box with the goodies. Like most of these, this looks like it has hardly ever been shot. Pristine is an understatement. Made in Belgium in 1969. Don’t miss your chance to take this home this investment that you can pass down. I am only selling this because I have another like it. Local pickup at my Brentwood office or I can meet towards Cookeville on weekends. 1600 obo Rick2 points

I love compensated guns. When I saw Colt decided to drill ports into the Anaconda, I knew I end up with one. And here it is. I will say I am impressed with the build quality they are now delivering. Some may recall the Anaconda I had posted here a year ago or so which had to go back home for timing and barrel cant corrections. Colt did a fantastic job taking care of it, but left me of the opinion that they still had production bugs to work out. Happy to report this Kodiak is perfect in every way. Not only is the build quality spot-on, but the action is even a little slicker than the Anaconda's was. Very much looking forward to seeing how it shoots2 points

For what it's worth... Many times when ya have sticking spent cartridges, it's due to the cylinder or chamber not being clean. We used ta swab any sticking cylinder out with denatured alcohol n make sure it wuz squeaky clean. It always worked for me. leroy...2 points

HK 45 Tactical in Green w/threaded barrel …unfired after leaving the factory. This safe queen was a limited run done by HK in 2013 and has been in my safe since. I am cleaning out the safes and moving assets around. This is your chance to own one of the best shooting 45s made. Runs suppressed like a dream. 900 obo Local pickup in my Brentwood office or I can meet towards Cookeville on the weekends. Rick1 point

Nighthawk Custom “Centennial Model” 45cal 1911for sale. More fabulous guns that have been safe queens. Nighthawk Custom is the epitome of custom 1911 handguns and this limited edition was done in 2011 to celebrate the 100 years of the 1911. This gun is absolutely new in the pouch. Never fired except for the factory test targets. Gun is literally new. Tasteful engravings adorn the weapon and it comes with the two types of grips that were offered. My loss is your gain. Don’t miss out on this. Local pickup at my Brentwood office or I do travel most weekends towards Cookeville. 3000.00 obo1 point

I’m not site how many rounds you want/need in a magazine. The savage 64 is kind of a magazine fed Marlin model 60ish rifle.1 point

I bought a Crossbread holster nearly 20 years ago just to copy it and make my own at home. You can't tear those things up if you try and I've tried all kinds of thicknesses of kydex and leather over the years. Even the thinnest seems to hold up really good. I feel like I'm sacrificing a little of that ruggedness for comfort with the T-Rex holster. If it last 3 or 4 years, I'll call it a win. If it wears out in 12-15 months, I won't be likely to replace it with another at that price. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see how something this comfy can last as long as leather.1 point

It's just extra liability coverage above normal. Call your agent and ask what's covered and what's not. I got it mostly for/because of my kids. If something bad were to happen and i got sued, the $500k limit doesn't go very far. On that topic, the $1M coverage limit for a church security team seems very low, especially for an organization. A friend had a girl on the back of his motorcycle. The rear caliper broke, locked the wheel, and they went down. She got rashed pretty bad. She sued him for $2M.1 point

Whelp, I’m back to the Vertx essentials again. After loading and attaching everything to the commuter, it was just too big and bulky. It has a lot of advantages, and is an awesome non-tactical app earning bag with interior tactical features. I want to get it and a few other bags I’m not using together and post them up for sale on here really soon. I’m going to lose money on it most likely, so if anyone has been looking I g for one, keep an eye on TGO.1 point

I have a Ruger Blackhawk .30 Carbine I’d part with. I bought it to match my M1 Carbine but it hasn’t been shot since I got it. Feel free to PM me.1 point

Good to know. I am not (obviously) into steel challenge. I always default to bolt actions as I am into BR. As much as I don’t like them I would probably just go with a 10/22 of some flavor. There is no more customizable option out there. For steel challenge I would imagine they are plenty accurate.1 point

Nice. I'm wondering how it compares to the Crossbreed Minituck? Other than trying an Alien Gear IWB a few times (which I liked), the Crossbreed is the only holster Ive ever used with my Kahr P380 and PM9. Ive driven to FLA wearing it, I hardly know its on.1 point

I got another Vertx bag, the Transit Sling 2, but i didn't like it at all. Had less room actually than my essentials bag, above, so i returned it and ordered the Vertx Commuter 3.0. It arrived today and it is definitely bigger than the essentials, but I'm just not sure i like it enough for EDC. Dang I'm hard to please. I'm going to play with it for a few days and see if i learn to appreciate it. If not ill just stick with the Essentials bag.1 point

Hi TGO, this is Mike, originally from Knoxville now permanently residing in the Red Bank / Chattanooga area. My interests revolve around my kids and this includes our journey with firearms which only began when one of said children expressed an interest in joining the military. We've done most of our shooting indoors with several outstanding visits to an outdoor range near us. I'm not sure why it took me so long to find TGO and, full disclosure, my current purpose is to begin unwinding our personal inventory to trusted buyers. I'm not looking to abandon shooting, carrying or gun ownership. Instead, I have a purpose-built collection that hasn't been seeing as much use now that the goal for which it was built has become reality. I'm really excited about staying connected through TGO while the next chapter reveals itself. What we shoot: Sig P320 - This is where we started, because the Army had picked it to replace the M9. Beretta M9 - Because it dawned on me that this was the more likely sidearm my kid would see, at least initially. Colt LE6920 - Because I asked for the closest thing to the Army's rifle and this is what I got from my local gun store. I carry the Beretta LTT 92G Elite Compact - because the one I got direct from Mr. Langdon is pretty awesome. Thanks for reading.1 point

I recently acquired one with a gun I bought here on TGO. I am very impressed with how it's made, but I haven't taken the pistol to the range yet. It seems like it'll be very comfy.1 point

You can also get a personal umbrella liability policy as an add-on to your homeowners, usually for a modest rate. It'll cover more than these gun specific policies.1 point

@DraxTheDad Since you already have several AR-15s and a bolt action in 6.5 Creedmoor, I'd point you toward an AR-10/SR-25 in the 6.5 Creedmoor, so you have ammo commonality with something you already own. The Ruger SFAR in 6.5 CM would be the "easy" button. https://www.firearmsnews.com/editorial/ruger-sfar-65creedmoor-news/4925691 point

If something happens on church property it will come back to the church, so I have been told. I started a Safety Team, Unarmed, at my last congregation several years ago. We had to remain unarmed for insurance and city requirement purposes also. If armed, the City had regulations we had to meet and other restrictions on bonding and liability insurance. The City had off duty Police officers one could hire but were 100.00 per service (approx 1600.00 per month) years ago. We were a church who our leadership did not have the money to do that. The congregation was paying for a newish building and supporting other preaching in other places, and did not decide to curtail either for an armed team. We had 17 members to start, all volunteer, and several concealed carried. Had one member open carried on occasion. He was not on the team. We handled several occurrences and disturbances during the 8 years I was there. I have since moved to a church nearer to our home and we now have 2 who stay in the hallways and lock doors after services start and keep watch in the halls and out the doors to our parking lots, one on each side of the building. I am either an usher or greeter in my rotation. We have about 180 to 200 who attend on a regular basis and several men do conceal carry but have no organized team. The deacon in charge of the duty assignments knows I church carry, so I guess that is why I was drafted, at age 76, to stay in the entrance from time to time (once a month for 1 week). I just pray if I ever need to rise to the occasion, God will be with me, and I will be successful. Good luck your team and I will pray they won't need your services but do know a team of some kind is sure needed in every church. Thats a sad sentiment for our day-in-time guys. Edited to add; I am a member of Armed Citizens Legal Defense Net. 360 978 52001 point

A good cheap 22 would be a Winchester Wildcat. They have 10 22 type mag but the chamber stays open on the last round. They would be accurate enough for what you need.1 point

Shot the 22 twice this morning. Missed the same squirrel twice. Rifle did fine but the operator needs to stop rushing the shots. Hope the rifle continues to cycle after the cleaning and lubing and the operator settles down and uses better skills.1 point

If my grandson (9yrs old) wanted to get into any kind of rimfire competition and he tightened up his groups with his Rossi Bravo and my 15-22 to the point a better rifle was needed, I'd go straight for a CZ 457. I've been wanting one for years, but I can't outshoot my existing rifles, so I haven't bothered.1 point

Unpopular opinion as it would be bad business for the gun mags - and probably cut the postings on this forum by at least 50% - but if they had quit making new cartridges at 30-06 we’d all be fine.1 point
