  4. Doing some cleaning... 1 case (200 rounds) of Sig Sauer 200 grain 44 Special V-Crown jacketed hollow points. 10 unopened boxes of 20 rounds. It's a fun round but I don't shoot much of it anymore. The outer box has been torn on the side but the individual boxes are untouched. Cheapest price on Ammo Seek is $28/box before shipping so I think $225 for the case is fair. Ideally I'd love to swap this for a case of good 9mm range ammo. I'm in Manchester but travel thru Murfreesboro & Nashville regularly. Happy to meet of 24 anywhere along that route. Thanks, y'all.

  5. I am by no means an expert but it is a S&W Victory model originally chambered in .38/200 for the British (.38 S&W). The chambers then reamed out to accept .38 Special special cartridges when imported back into the US. It was quite common at the time to do that. But know that .38 S&W has a slightly larger bore diameter than .38 Special; .361 vs .357. The line of markings on the left side of the barrel under the original caliber designation are British proof marks. The folks on the Smith & Wesson forum can probably tell you all about it. They even have a specific thread dedicated to them...https://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-hand-ejectors-1896-1961/223676-victory-data-base.html

  12. All of my AR platform guns have a LaRue MBT2S in them. It’s an excellent trigger that will be better than 95% of shooters will be able to utilize. The story about how it came about is funny as #### to me as well. Geiselle used to buy components from Mark LaRue with the understanding that he wouldn’t make them himself. Then he did. So Mark LaRue began to make triggers as good as Geiselle to compete with Big Trigger and priced well under his simply as a troll. Mark LaRue is absolutely my kind of asshole.

  13. 30 caliber mauser or carbine. A picture of the actual cartridge and headstamp should clear things up.

  14. Garufa hit it. After WW II many British Service Revolvers were returned to the U.S. and had their chambers reamed out to .38 Special. Another way to tell is by barrel length. British revolvers usually had 5" barrels. The U.S. guns were 4". U.S. guns were generally marked "property of United States" or sometimes just "Property of U.S. on the top strap. British guns often had a whole array of proof marks on them. Be aware that .38 Specials will work in these guns, but depending on how good the reamer was, they can swell badly and sometimes split. Pictures would help.

  19. Thanks Scotty, good lookin out! Geissele mixed it up this year. They did their blem sale for 4th of July. All the triggers in this price range were $122.50, so this is better! I got a couple back in July. And though I absolutely don't need the stack of unused triggers to get taller, hard to say no.

When mom had to move in with them Christmas started before Thanksgiving and he got a double dose. As a matter of fact he sent me a picture last week and his wife already had 2 trees up. You all pray for him. Lol.
