Apparently people made some sort of 3d print prototype and mags are going for a premium. Special thanks to the member who took time out of his day to drop one off to me one winter day and wouldn’t accept anything in return. I have two of them, I just think they’re neat little Saturday night specials.2 points

Memphis voters will be voting on a gun control referendum which the Election Commission says is causing problems as it too long. This thing will cover two full pages on the voting machines and could take voters up to 20 minutes to read. The State has already said its invalid and illegal, but a judge ruled that the voters get to express their opinions. We already know the lines will be long and voting will take time. But this BS adding an extra 20 minutes to the process could cause voters to get angry with long lines and waits. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/city-s-gun-control-referendums-stretch-over-2-pages-on-ballot/ar-AA1skxJf1 point

I wound up putting a Leupold 3x9x40 VX Freedom scope on it. Shoots great, but I want to smooth the bolt a little .1 point

April of 2008 this was when SIG was still making the frames in Germany and assembling the pistols and the US. Total round count is unknown. By me less than 500. Pistol has almost zero where on the frame and slide rails as far as the finish is concerned.1 point

That’s key to making sure everything stays above board. A lot of non-profits go that route when selling donated firearms, and it's great that some FFLs will do it for free or at a discount for a good cause. If you’re also into trading and want to cut down on fees, I’d recommend checking out a Fast Track Trading Discount Code.1 point

These are fun cars. I had an Evolution VIII many years ago with a lot of aftermarket mods taking it to over 450hp. With the AWD these cars just go wherever you point them. They can make mediocre drivers like me look like a much better driver on a curvy track compared to RWD cars.1 point

Remove the magazine and pull the trigger. The gun must be uncocked. Look at the rear of the slide. Notice that circle around the firing pin hole. That's the slide catch. Use a punch, pen, pencil, whatever and push it in. Leave the slide in the full forward position. With the lock pushed in, lift up on the rear of the slide until it clears the frame. It should come off by moving it forward a bit and lifting up. BTW: be careful of that slide catch. Its spring load and will take off like a rocket. Another BTW: Note the direction of the firing pin. If you put it back in backwards the gun will go together, but it won't feed. Yep, its a cheap POS gun. But the darned things are absolutely reliable and go bang every single time. I like mine.1 point

If you can find a buddy to go halves with I like S&B for 10mm. It’s loaded hot and not to .40 specs like a lot of range ammo. It’s my go to range. Also I wish every distributor would follow S&Bs packaging, takes up far less space in the safe. https://rivertownmunitions.com/product/sellier-and-bellot-10mm-180-grain-fmj-50-rd-box-1000-rd-case/ These guys take a couple days to ship but no tax, free shipping and it’s always taped up and wrapped in discreet packaging. Find a buddy to split a case at a hair under .40cpr. Almost 30% cheaper than buying by the box with tax added. Stings a little less.1 point

Took us a couple of day of driving around with the realtor before we got across to him we wanted a small house on a few acres, not a big house on a postage stamp in the suburbs and a place for a range was a bonus. We found it but it took awhile.1 point

I collect my stickers on the front of my gun safe. Hadn't thought of adding it to one of my handguns.1 point

State has already made it clear that any gun control passed by Memphis would be illegal and invalid. The state will take action if such local laws are passed. But the Memphis city council thinks they're "special" and can do as they please. Claiming Memphis faces greater danger than the rest of the state, so the rules shouldn't apply to them. The election commission tried to refuse the referendum on the ballot as its illegal, but a judge allowed it. The referendum doesn't pass anything. It holds no weight of law. Its merely an opinion poll. I'm hoping the citizens of Memphis vote it down. But considering that most of them are dumb ass liberals, its anybody's guess.1 point

In my honest opinion-most judges shouldn't preside over a pie eating contest- Do not even allow them to judge the fairs best pig or guernsey- Most of them are even poor judges of character content- So what makes them so special-and I care less how many years they schooled at law- They are only men and men make mistakes all the time- And I don't understand fully how a judge can rule against the State Law-and don't give me this crap about they only interpret the law as written-1 point

The election commission's answer is to print out the gun referendum, laminate it and pass it around to the people in line to vote so they can read it while waiting. Yeah, like that's gonna work. Thankfully, I don't live in Memphis and have to deal with this stupidity.1 point

Maybe if the Shelby County Election Commission’s website was not such a worthless POS people could study a sample ballot before going to the polls. Not that the average person would do so but it would be a start. There should also be sample ballots printed out on the wall of every voting location for people to review before making a final decision.1 point

After reading what Kahr Man had to say about using an FFL, if that is the route you are going and it is expressly stated within the Trading Post sale and includes the name of the FFL that is doing the transfer, I don't really have a problem with it.1 point

A non profit can sell a firearm. A non profit I am a member of has done it many times. The key is to let a FFL handle the sale. We will show the firearm and make a deal for the cost. Of the gun and receive the payment. We then take the firearms to the ffl and the person buying the gun has to pick up the firearm at the ffl. They have to do a background check to receive the firearm. the first thing you need to do is talk to a ffl. Most will do them for a non profit for a discounted rate or for free. @spurge1 point
