Also not a Glock fanboy. I think of getting out of Glock at least twice a week, but I have too many magazines and too many compatible guns that accept them. You’re good to go with running whatever mags in whatever generation. The only thing I’ve ever read is that gen 5 mags are ambidextrous if you want to swap the mag release for a lefty. The other exception to this is for a 19x as the baseplates and mag well aren’t compatible without doing some filing. Gen5 mags will have an orange follower. The base plates are also extended a bit. Other than that the dimensions, tolerances, springs, etc are identical to other gens. I actually saw a post from you the other day and was trying to think of the times that I met up with you, I think possibly it was for a magpul Glock mag bundle. Couldn’t put my finger on it. There’s a company (I think it’s from TN) called Jageman that also makes cheap off brand Glock mags and I’ve had no issues with there double stacks for plinking. Have not tried the single stacks.3 points

Well I ran into a little snafu, I got all the parts in and started to fit them and then noticed that the SL8-6 reciever has a indentation on one side that needs to be cut out and flipped around(see pictures) wicih isn't difficult to do but requires that part to be reattached so I decided to just leave it as is.but I did get a few other parts fit and installed. A ambi mag release, and a orginal Swiss Made B&T G36 Aluminum Handguard, and a MagPul Bipod.I did find a company that makes a G36 Upper Reciever, they can't mark it HK but it is an exact copy, so I placed my name on the order list and hopefully it will be done by the endd of the month. I also have a G36 Parts Kit on order that includes everything except the receiver, so when I get all that in then I'll start the G36 build. Here's a picture of the SL8-6 with the new handguard I'm waiting for one more part a Tommy Built low profile rail then figure out what type of scope to put on it thinking ACOG, or a Meprolight, any way here it is minus the low profile rail.3 points

One thing I found is that some USB cords just don't charge the same as others. I used to have an app that would tell me what power was incoming and marked my good cords. Apple used to flip some wires inside the cord so only original apple cords would work on apple phones. My phone charges pretty quick, from around 30%, way quicker than an hour, so if yours is taking long, may want to test other cords.2 points

Here's a SA35 9mm that I bought new, and added a few things. A set of XS Night Sights, Cylinder and Slide extended Thumb Saftey, and a flat Trigger. Comes with everything shown, Box, Paperwork, Three Mags Two 15rnd SA Mags and one 17rnd Apex Mag. There is a mark on the back of the grip(see pictures, it was already there when I bought it but did not notice it till I got home to wipe it down and put it up, orginal trigger and safety included) The Flat Trigger breaks at 3.15lbs as shown, after I installed the sights, trigger and safety I ran one 15rnd mag with no problems and cleaned it and put it up. $650 CASH NO TRADES at this time. I live in the Whitehouse area and can meet locally around Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin, and Nashville area but can drive half way to meet and complete the transaction. Any questions please PM me.1 point

Selling a 1898 Krag-Jorgensen rifle. Chambered in the venerable .30-40 Krag cartridge. Someone sporterized it at some point, but did a fine job of things. The rear leaf sight was removed and a Lyman peep sight was added at the rear of the receiver. The old sling swivel was also removed and patched quite nicely. The rifling is still strong and will be even stronger after a good cleaning (there's a fair amount of copper fouling in the grooves). Most importantly, though, is that the action has that smooth-as-butter feel that the Krags are well known for. The rifle is light weight and well balanced for what it is. This would make a heck of a deer gun Asking 450. Would consider trades for .32ACP pistols. I'd also consider SxS or O/U shotguns in 12ga. Show me what you got F2F meetup in Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, White House, Gallatin, or Portland. Any further out and y'all will have to come my way1 point

Not sure on date of manufacture. Serial number is BEVP514 And I’m the second owner. I bought it from my local sheriffs department back when I lived in WV. And not sure how many rounds have been through it before I owned it but I’ve put about maybe 300-500 rounds through it.1 point

Maybe it was just me, maybe it was a few others along with me, but I always loved the MagPul phone cases and considered them the cream of the crop for drop protections and a "normal" case. Of course there were "better cases" but for "normal use" I absolutely loved them. However, they stopped creating updated models sometime around the iPhone 6 or so. Today, I just so happened to find "EGO TACTICAL". To me, they look 99.9% just like the MagPul cases, so much so that I wonder if either they were manufacturing the cases for MagPul or if MagPul sold the design to them. They are available via Amazon, has anyone tried them? Some reviews on Reddit state that they are identical to the MagPul cases, just a different logo. I'm trying to figure out whether or not to get one right now or upgrade my phone first.1 point

Sure, technically, but even if he had a specialty cord like a PD cord, the power source dictates the current/power. His Wyze solar panels put out 5V at either 2.5 watts or 4 watts, so they can't even supply one amp of current, so he's safe. He just wants to be sure his solar panels can't fry his phone.1 point

@MacGyver I just gotta say…you definitely called it regarding the Magbak Classic. I’d been seeing ads for months about them but your review definitely caused me to give them a try. At first I was concerned that the case itself was too slippery but after reading a bit about it online others had said it gets a bit grippier from use. Sure enough, just two days in and it no longer seems slippery. Excellent case with magnetic strength that surprised even me. It’s night and day different than the Rokform I used to have. I really wish that they made the same thing for iPads.1 point

This is not really 100% true, it really depends. USB-C in its initial form could only supply 5v and 3A, and ALL USB-C connectors are required to supply that. BUT as the specification has grown, it now can supply up to 50v and 5A, depending on the cable as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_hardware#USB_Power_Delivery In theory if you use a height power distribution power cable (one that supports the 50v, 5A mode), and a power brick (solar panel in this case), that cannot supply that; if it is poorly designed, then it could cause the electronics to overheat and be damaged (on the panels, not on the target device). That being said, most devices are designed to only put out the maximum it is designed for, regardless of the cable and device plugged into them. It should be safe to do.1 point

Thanks a lot, Scotty. That is exactly what i need to know. Yes, I think i did buy some Magpul Glock mags from you! Thanks again!1 point

Volts x Amps = Watts If you know any of the 2, you can decipher the third. A 15amp breaker in your box is rated for .... 120VAC x 15amp = 1800watts Same formula works for DC.1 point

I wouldn't be concerned with giving it a try because there's no way it produces too much current. USB-C is designed for 5 volts at up to 3 amps. Worst case, it would charge your phone at 5 volts, but very slowly. Here's a brief description of what you're concerned about and a link with more details if you wanna read it all:1 point

I charge it via wall charger. It has not lost charge since I've had it. You don't turn it on till you need it. Stored in dark. So, I'm testing it on and off when I'm bored. all indoors just using what light is available. Not in any particular order. - Last night I tested my iPhone 16 Pro with solar panel down and it just sitting on top. Results: It took ~ 1 hour to charge 10% to full. Charger maintained full charge. - Next test will be similar with solar facing up sitting on phone. Results: - Then will test charging phone plugged in. Results: - Will try depleting power pack, and charge in sun as long as it's sunny. Results: - Possibly other tests when convenient. Remember, this for emergency. It has remained charge in my go bag for months. You also should turn it off when not in use. It's not meant to be used for constant supply. I only got it for emergency. I also have a Geiger counter for my go bag which can be charged by the solar pack. It does maintain its charge, but I hope to God we never need to use it.1 point

56 hours sounds like a really long time, but 10K mAh is a LOT. I bet most folks would never drain it much more than a day in the sun won't make up. I'm ordering one too.1 point

The 300 BLK is buried in the text, as well as the revolver, buried in the text. I do not find the price on the semi pistol. FireMedic, just my $0.02, list the 3 in separate ads, make, price, and location, in the header. ie) PWS MK109 MOD1 300 BLK, $2,000.00, Nashville. then add you text, sale options, ammo price, upper price, lower price. Sorry for stepping on toes, just trying to help.1 point

I went with Rokform before Quadlock had caught on as much as they have now. I have a wireless charger for the Rokform but my issue with it is it is not lever locking. I have used their non powered locking mount on a RAM ball on two of my motorcycles for the last three or four years and 50,000+ miles without issue. I do wirelessly charge with the Rokform case on my phone both in my truck and at home also without issue. When I upgrade my phone and need a new case I may update to a Quadlock just because of the lever lock. I like the look and function of Rokform better but that locking charging base is enough to make me switch since my phone is on my motorcycle handle bar 10,000 to 25,000 miles a year.1 point

Cutting zip ties at gun shows is very common. Any seller will cut a tie for you to examine a gun, make a holster or whatever. Then simply put one of their own back on when you're finished. Happens all the time.1 point

My favorite to plink steel at the range is a Glock 34, most fun to feel the power is a 10mm Glock 20 and smoothest shooting is Dan Wesson 1911 Commander Bobtail.1 point
