Been there, done that, got the pics 14 day land/sea combination cruise. Land was bus, train, then to the ship for the other half. Amazing time, excellent food, accommodations were spot on. Mind you this was pre covid and major changes in the travel industry have taken place since then. Let me know if you need any help4 points

Keys to an great Alaska Cruise. 1) Choose a small boat that can actually go into Glacier Bay. It will cost a bit more but is worth it. Many of the larger vessels can not navigate into the bay. Talk to a pro who knows the route your specific boat travels through the bay so you can book a room with a balcony on the correct side of the ship. That way you can sit in your room and see the glacier faces and not have to go crowd up to the rail on the opposite side of the ship. 2) Book a package that includes a couple days off the boat on the train to the interior of Alaska. Both my parents and my in-laws said the interior trip by rail was the highlight of their Alaska cruises. 3) The above more or less dictates this but book a one way Cross Gulf route. You will see more of Alaska including Whittier and the Hubbard Glacier. You will still see much of the Inside Passage but you will not cover the same ground twice. This comes with a bit more airfare costs since you are booking two one way routes from different airports instead of round trip but it is not that much higher. You can also plan your package with a couple extra days at either end so you spend more time there between the boat and your flights.4 points

My Wife and I have been struggling on a vacation for just us. I hate the idea of a cruise. I just don't understand the appeal. I've always wanted to go to Alaska. She has never seen the appeal of Alaska. I had an opportunity to move there once and didn't because she wouldn't be happy. She technically didn't say no, but she really comes first just don't tell her I said so. Cruise.......Alaska........Alaska........cruise....... I may have a compromise. LOL3 points

Figured I would sale another one of these guys. Brand knew never fired. Only upgrades on this one is the front grip, ambi safety and mlok panels. Meprolite BUS with tritium. I did install a used BCM VLTOR ambi charging handle on this one. All other parts and components are new. Complete BCM rifle front to back. Not a build. Will come as pictured. Need to sale this one so no trades. Again, in my opinion, there isn’t a better rifle available. Just more expensive and more complex. Knoxville/Chattanooga area meet. 1400 firm. This is posted on other sites also but I will always give preference to TGO members.2 points

Well, I did it. Went somewhere with the wife. She booked us a little cabin in Townsend because she wanted us to get away for a couple days. At least I was thankful for that because I despise Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area. Way too many people there. Keep in mind that I'm not much on traveling. My preferred version of "getting away" is to take the four wheeler to the woods and set up a tarp and hammock. Can't get her to do that though. I don't really know what the deal with this trip was, but aside from having great food each time we ate, everything we tried to do sucked. Even the cabin sucked. Neither one of us slept well at all. I told her when I got up yesterday morning that I really think I'd have been more comfortable hanging upside down in a tree. We were eating at a cafe on the way out yesterday and laughing together about how badly everything had gone. The whole thing was just weird. At least I did most of the driving, so I wasn't having to remain in a state of abject fear most of the time.2 points

The 300 BLK is buried in the text, as well as the revolver, buried in the text. I do not find the price on the semi pistol. FireMedic, just my $0.02, list the 3 in separate ads, make, price, and location, in the header. ie) PWS MK109 MOD1 300 BLK, $2,000.00, Nashville. then add you text, sale options, ammo price, upper price, lower price. Sorry for stepping on toes, just trying to help.2 points

When I use mine, I place it on a sill in the sun while charging and after charging to see if it will top off or at least get some charge back. I normally need to top off my phone once and my tablet once, I connect when I am at 25-30% so they won't go into power saving mode. I've never needed to recharge it with just the panel, just good to know I can if I need to.2 points

Today is the 24th wedding anniversary for my wife and I but 26 years together total. From nearly the beginning we have taken separate vacations and vacations together nearly every year. She likes the beach. If I am near the ocean I need to be on a boat with a fishing pole in hand. Even when we take a beach vacation together we spend our days apart, we do normally go to dinner together though. She also does the girls week at the beach with some of the girlfriends fairly often and I skip that. I ride my motorcycles a lot and enjoy travel by motorcycle including camping off the bike. I ride in excess of 25,000 miles a year many years. She likes to ride for an hour or two and stay in the local area when riding with me. I have no issue riding in excess of 500 miles a day or going to the other side of the country on a whim. Her idea of camping is a 2 star hotel. She does get a touch jealous when I am stopping places she would love to see but not jealous enough to ride there with me. to combat that I have flown her out in the middle of some of my trips so she could spend a couple days with me in a new area/city. Next big ride will be Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. I will fly her into Halifax so she can ride the Cabot Trail with me for a couple days before I drop her back off for a flight home while I head to the Newfoundland via ferry and ride the Trans Labrador highway back around to Quebec. She will probably only ride 500 of the ~8000 mile trip with me. For my ~11,000 mile trip to Tuktoyaktuk and Alaska she has stated that I must also be willing to go on an Alaskan Cruise with her so she can see Alaska as well. She has no desire to ride with me in Alaska since she is not comfortable riding pilon off-road. I figured that was a fine compromise since I get to see Alaska twice! We both love travel in general so we will pick a city or country we want to visit and plan a trip together every year or so. We normally spend a week exploring a new place. We love to walk and eat our way through a city. We do some of the tourist stuff but most of the time we try to "live" there for a week and get a feel for the place. We will go to a show/play/concert most places as well if we can find something interesting that still has tickets available.2 points

29 yrs married and still happily. We're not big TV watchers per se, but on the weekends my wife will chill out and watch Hallmark and Great American Family movies, most of which I can't stand. She hates the action stuff I like to watch. So we usually end up watching different things in two different rooms when we do. I'll sometimes break down and watch something with her she is watching just to spend time with her. She'll sometimes do things with me she doesn't really care to do. That's called relationship. When it comes to vacations, fortunately we both mostly like doing the same things. We both don't like the beach and would much rather be in a cabin in Gatlinburg or the like.2 points

Here's a SA35 9mm that I bought new, and added a few things. A set of XS Night Sights, Cylinder and Slide extended Thumb Saftey, and a flat Trigger. Comes with everything shown, Box, Paperwork, Three Mags Two 15rnd SA Mags and one 17rnd Apex Mag. There is a mark on the back of the grip(see pictures, it was already there when I bought it but did not notice it till I got home to wipe it down and put it up, orginal trigger and safety included) The Flat Trigger breaks at 3.15lbs as shown, after I installed the sights, trigger and safety I ran one 15rnd mag with no problems and cleaned it and put it up. $650 CASH NO TRADES at this time. I live in the Whitehouse area and can meet locally around Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin, and Nashville area but can drive half way to meet and complete the transaction. Any questions please PM me.1 point

I prefer ghost ring on my shotgun but if I was going to put something on there at most a red dot with no magnification. Maybe a primary arms or holosun at most.1 point

One can open carry a semi auto bazooka for all I care. What I will not do is disparaged, make fun of or call people names that may choose to do something different than myself. Seems we have enough attacks from the outside already. I bet if we all watched each other close enough we would find things about what we do with firearms that we do not like. Live and let live. Or maybe carry any way you want to.1 point

I read that article. I also looked at the stories he used as some of his reasoning. One that I noted was in Mexico where a CONCEALED carry guy had his firearm taken from him and used on him. So I guess the story is do not carry or pull your weapon for any reason because it could be taken and used on you. Another shows someone stealing a guys gun that was CONCEALED. So I guess it can happen both ways. Look just do not carry one at all and nobody will take it. Lol1 point

I wouldn't be opposed to an Alaskan cruise. The part I hated about the cruises I went on was the fact they were bargain basement, long weekend affairs. This seems to attract the dregs of society. I'm guessing you'd deal with a different class of fellow travelers in Alaska. The food and entertainment is great, and the price is fair for what you get.1 point

Many on the left would say that about anyone that carried a firearm. Open or concealed. I can hear them now, Its unacceptable, stop being a cowboy that you think you need to carry a gun. Frankly it does not bother me either way.1 point

Thank you sir. I have listed guns individual before but it seems from my anecdotal experience you get more eyeballs on when multiples are listed at one time. If these don't move in a couple of days I very well may split them up.1 point

My wife is my best friend, really my only friend ha, and we do most everything together. That being said, I like alone time and there’s a few things I’d like to do myself one day when the kids are older; ride a motorcycle across the country, and backpack in the Bob Marshall wilderness in MT. I also plan on lots of solo hiking/fly fishing trips when I’m older.1 point

Half way through dinner and I think people who are into trains would love it. Apparently you can ride on a steam engine train.1 point

Mrs. 'lizard and I just returned from a few days at New River Gorge which is the newest to reach National Park status. It was a great trip. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a few days away. The hiking trails vary for all skill levels and if you're into adventure, there's lots of rock climbing and of course river paddling. The Bridge Walk looks AMAZING but Mrs. 'lizard is afraid of heights and by the time she talked herself into doing it, it was booked up, so if you want to do it, book that ahead of time. There are plenty of scenic drives for the less adventurous types. 1 to 2 full days is probably plenty for most folks in the bridge area. Of course if you're doing the river paddling or other adventure tours stuff, that will take up more time so account for that. We didn't venture southwards to the rest of the park down around Beckley, WV. There's a mine tour/museum there and an old mining/rail ghost town that looked neat and would probably be worth a day to explore. Maybe for the next visit!1 point

Oddly enough my Wife and I are talking my oldest Daughter to Chattanooga for the weekend. LOL Going to do the dinner train.1 point

We just concluded a search for a pistol for my wife. She really wanted to love the hellcat, but it was quite a handful. In my humble opinion it is very shootable, but I like the trigger on the p365 line more1 point

Bought this one for emergency/bug out bag... Works fairly well. Might be Chinese but hard to find anything that is not. I have a Anker A2421 solar panel that works fine on the few occasions I've used it. I've also got an Anker Powercore 20000 power bank and another no name power bank, both of which also work fine. They'll charge 2 phones from nearly dead on the juice they hold, and they hold that juice for a long time. The power banks charge a phone much faster than the solar panel. The panel is much lighter (think hiking) than a power bank. All of these came from amazon at different times.1 point

Last year, my wife guilted me into taking one of those bus trips. I dreaded it. I knew it would be all elderly folks. It was going someplace I’d always wanted to see, so I agreed. We were some of the younger people on the trip, but we had a great time. Everybody on the trip were very nice and had a lot in common with us. I’d be happy to go on another one. You just never know until you give it a try. I gave cruise ships two tries. They still suck.1 point

I love spending time with my wife. We've even talked about going hunting this deer season together. She has no interest in it but she does it for me. On the other hand I do stuff for her that I have no interest in for her. Different strokes for different folks I reckon. None of its wrong if it works.1 point

When I first started carrying I was a proponent of open carry for all of the reasons your friends have mentioned. The longer I carried, and the more experience I gained with firearms the less desire I had to open carry. The only benefit of being allowed to open carry at this point is if at the end of the day of range Larping I just want to get home, I can just get in the car and go and not worry about it if I have to stop and get gas or something along the way. Otherwise, there is no benefit to advertising that I have a firearm on me . my view at this point boils down to this. Should you have the right to open carry, yes. Should you open carry, no.1 point

My wife loves to travel. I do not. I do enjoy spending time with her, though, so I go with her sometimes. We try to find things we both enjoy. She also has some friends she travels with. She really enjoys that, and I get to enjoy the peace and solitude of home. A little give and take really helps. She’ll sometimes do things with me she doesn’t really care about, and sometimes I’ll do the same.1 point

On a side note....My ex-girlfriend insisted that go on a date with her boss. We went out on a Saturday. Our second date was on a Tuesday or Wednesday. We decided to get married that day. We didn't tell the families for 2 weeks. We were married 4 months after our 1st date. She was not pregnant at the time. LOL. Some people lost money on that last point. LOL1 point

I think it's more common than we think it is. We went through all the luggage more than once. LOL.1 point

Sounds like you have a functioning marriage to me. You both know what you like or dislike and you agree upon that. As long as you make couples time in there somewhere, you should be good.1 point
