Downsizing & streamlining things so this one's up for sale. Bought it new years back. Haven't shot it much at all. Tiny bit of holster wear on both the grip & manual safeties. Otherwise in pristine shape. These are some of my favorite 1911's & as far as I know they are no longer producing this 5" railed model in black. I have 4-5 Chip McCormick magazines, 1 Wilson Combat 10-rounder, a Craft Holsters custom shoulder holster & a black Galco OWB holster. I had a Surefire X-300 OU attached to the rail & a Tier One Concealed OWB holster in MCB, too. Those can be had to an additional cost, if you like. I paid right about $1700 for the pistol out the door. I'll sell it with everything but the X300/T1C for $1400.3 points

Timmy has been gone for a while. His loss left me devastated and Matilda lonely. I didn't want to get another but there was a hole that needed filled. We drove 200miles each way to Hamilton Mississippi to get Snoopy. He is 16 months and smaller than Matilda but he is as sweet as any pup could ever be. He has latched onto me and I am very pleased. He and Matilda got to play outside together for tha first time today and they wrestled and played quite well. I have prayed for 10 days while keeping a gate between them and can say God is great. He is rarely far enough away for me to get a good pic but his coloring mimics our Timmy. I am amazed that he bonded with me so quickly. He has put on a little weight and is doing fabulous. pic inside is what I usually see when I move, even a little LOL3 points

Mrs. 'lizard and I just returned from a few days at New River Gorge which is the newest to reach National Park status. It was a great trip. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a few days away. The hiking trails vary for all skill levels and if you're into adventure, there's lots of rock climbing and of course river paddling. The Bridge Walk looks AMAZING but Mrs. 'lizard is afraid of heights and by the time she talked herself into doing it, it was booked up, so if you want to do it, book that ahead of time. There are plenty of scenic drives for the less adventurous types. 1 to 2 full days is probably plenty for most folks in the bridge area. Of course if you're doing the river paddling or other adventure tours stuff, that will take up more time so account for that. We didn't venture southwards to the rest of the park down around Beckley, WV. There's a mine tour/museum there and an old mining/rail ghost town that looked neat and would probably be worth a day to explore. Maybe for the next visit!2 points

Now he throwed down an awesome show. Way over the top but damn could he play the piano. Funny story, I saw Liberace, AC/DC and KISS all in a 2 week period.2 points

Nope. I saw them in concert in the 80’s with REO Speedwagon. It was a good concert.2 points

This is Dixie. Sadly had to put her down in May, cancerous tumor came back in her foot (had one removed back in 2018), and she was struggling physically. She would have been 13 next month. We got her a month after being married, she was around for so many stages of life, birth of 4 kids and several moves. She was kind of dumb and silly, but the sweetest dog in the world. Never showed an ounce of aggression her entire time on earth. It’s funny, she came from a duck hunting blood line but was afraid of the water and gun shy. She was my best friend other than my wife.2 points

We got our picture made with Doug Gray of the Marshall Tucker Band. That was pretty cool.1 point

It's not my taste in music and I don't really like concerts, could count the number I've been to on one hand. But Fleetwood Mac was among them, along with Springsteen on the River tour. Now HE put on a show.1 point

Thanks for posting. Damn shame that we have to go all the way to Louisville to get a good gunsmith.1 point

Maybe we can have a meetup one day in between us somewhere. You would be welcome to try it out. Can't hurt it And on that note, anyone know of a really good body/paint shop in Nashville area that could potentially fix this. I want it to look like new, so a bit picky on that front.1 point

Nothing has been posted here in a while so I will bring it back from the dead. This is a story of "it will happen to everyone sooner or later" for me. Hadn't had a bike in a couple of years and got the itch again. Found what I was looking for at a great price...too good to be true? Nope, was exactly what I wanted, great bike, low miles, great price, etc, etc. Go pick it up this afternoon and get it loaded on the trailer. All seems well...well until it's not. I didn't have time to take a pic of it laid on it's side on my trailer, but of course it has to only hit the tank . No other damage. I am usually super careful with tying things down, but today was my day. Luckily it was just leaving his neighborhood and not on the highway. Anyway, my 23 Triumph Scramber 1200 XC with a dented tank (for now). Looking forward to riding it.1 point

I think the Aguila states it's velocity at around 1100 (I would have to look exactly). Not sure how much you have chrono'd rimfire ammo, but what's on the box is a crap shoot. Unless you are wondering if it is subsonic labelled, then any of the SV ammo's should stay subsonic out of a rifle. I know that even my high end match ammo (Midas +/Tenex, etc) can range 50 fps from what is listed on the box and most of it is over 1050fps on the box. So not sure what you want it for, but being "standard velocity" it should stay subsonic in most pistols and rifles without issue.1 point

I have always liked the Beretta 92 as well. I have an old Italian police turn in 92s that is super smooth.1 point

I've always loved the Beretta 92. I prefer de-cocking setups but don't mind if it is a de-cocking safety. I recently got a 92x with the vertec grip and I have to say I really like it maybe even more than the traditional humped 92 grip.1 point

My favorite's are my Beretta M9 and my Ruger P89. The Beretta's barrel stays straight and level which makes the rounds load straight in from the magazine to the barrel with no feed ramp needed. It's very hard to get one to jam. It runs and runs. That is why I like it. The Ruger P89 is just a big overbuilt reliable pistol. The neat thing about it is when it cycles , it seems to cycle just a tad bit slower than other pistols. It kind of sounds like "kachunk Kachunk" everytime the slide cycles. It will handle the lightest loads that you can make and the hottest loads too. I reload but never make any hot loads but many reloaders use these P-Series to test hot loads. They are that overbuilt and on the thick side but they are reliable.1 point
