Newest offering from Smith and Wesson. Really great gun, but fills a duplicate role for me. Wearing a Holosun SCS that is a direct mount cut for the CORE system. $1,000 for gun, Surefire X300, and Holosun SCS. Comes with 2 mags, and 2 T.Rex holsters, one IWB and one OWB. $800 for the gun and Holosun. No X300 and no holsters (since they require the X300)3 points

I never thought I'd see Vandy in the victory formation against Bama. I was a nervous wreck the 4th quarter. Too many times Vandy has found a way to break my heart at the last minute.3 points

I don't care about either team, but that was a great game to watch. Congrats to Vandy, they earned it.2 points

I was seriously considering driving to campus tonight just to witness the madness. My Vandy classmates weren't helping - I'm the only one close enough to join the party.2 points

Just like the hunting and fishing regulations. They're so complicated it takes lawyers to sort them out. If it was simple, what would the lawyers do?2 points

Looking to trade my ammo: 7.62x39: one for one 9mm: two for one, TMJ or JHP, 124gr & 146gr preferred, What I have: For sale: 5 full (50cal.) cans of ammo, including the cans. Internet says an ammo can can hold up to 640 rounds. I only counted one can to verify and I counted 627rds. Close enough to say I'm selling 5 full cans of ammo and pricing it as 3000rds total. Asking $1750 for 3000rds (.58/rd) or $375 per can, (~630 rds: .60/rd) I also have three 20mm cans with 800rds in each. They are all sealed except the one I opened to verify. Asking $475 per 800 or $1400 for all three cans. (.58/rd) Best deal: Buy it all! 5400 rounds for $2800 (.52/rd) Going for 80 cents apiece online. Thanks!1 point

I really, really really like my Max 9 Micro pistol. It is thin(1"), size wise it is excellent and fits most pockets with an extended mag. If the pocket is tight, it has a flush mount with 2 rounds less. It does not print as bad as my 7-shot revolver. My hand fits the extended mag much better because the flush mount only holds half my pinkie finger. I do prefer a full finger grip as, for me, it adds to controllability. With Winchester + P 147 gr self-defense ammo it is a handful. That ammo really whacks the Steel I have on my shooting range. The thinness of the pistol makes it slide in and out of my pockets really easy and with the extended mag it comes out with an excellent grip which I do not need to adjust once the pistol is presented. Caliber wise I have confidence in the 9 MM so as to stop a thug, as that is/would be my goal, not necessarily to kill someone. I feel it may take more than one good hit, but I feel that way with my 357 Mag also. I am not naive enough to know that death could "very possibly" happen, however that would not be my goal. Just stop them from hurting my family, or myself, is. I pray often that I am never faced with evil again and be forced to use my tools. I realize that scenario would be my very last resort if all else fails. I know there are several other brands of Micro pistols on the market now. At the behest of my daughter, I went to Outpost Armory with her, and we picked out a Hellcat for my S-I-L's birthday, this year. I hope to get with him and fire that Micro pistol in the future. IMO, the Micro Size is a very good size pistol for concealed carry with tools that are "formattable/adequate" in power, and very comfortable and concealable. I haven't purchased a pistol, in the past, that I have that much confidence in lately. I carry mine in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster and it keeps the grip upright and ready for a fast hand retrieve should I have a pressing emergency. My first love are revolvers because that is what I grew up with. I have personally witnessed their success, on several occasions, at stopping evil without firing a shot, and yes, they are very effective deterrents, however one must possess the mindset to use them if forced too. I have a 7-shot revolver in my pocket as I type this, and yes, I carry at home always. Life taught me a good/valuable lesson a few years back. I never get out of bed, and go outside without it, ever since my date with evil, in my own front yard, has passed. Just some of my thoughts on Micros as I had mine out on the range a couple weeks ago. My Max nine fills my cup, guys. Edited to add content.1 point

Free bump for a guy so torn up about selling this revolver that he wept tears into the gun's box - and was honest about it. J/k. That is one bad bad weapon! GLWS.1 point

Just ordered my last ammo purchase for the year. S G ammo has 38 Spl 130 grain Winchester White Box practice ammo for 209.00 for 500 rounds. I purchased 2of the 500 round packages and got them for 199.99. Of course they charge tax. Shipping is free for orders over 200.00. Kinda been hard to find 38 spl on the shelf for a while now. If you do it is 69.00 + per hundred. Good deal IMO. My EDC is 357 mag but I practice with 38 special. Also start teaching with 22LR then go to 9 mm then 38 spl. Got 3 young children plus dad to introduce into the gun culture soon.1 point

I sure wish Tennessee would fix our gun laws. For a state that proclaims to be constitutional and gun friendly, we are not really.1 point

It's important to know if the church school is really a school. My former church hosts a preschool that is called a school, advertised as a school, but is not a school as defined by the law.1 point

While that is an SOP that will achieve compliance, it is not necessarily true for private schools. Attached is the text of the applicable law, 49-50-803. Handgun carry policy: https://advance.lexis.com/documentpage/?pdmfid=1000516&crid=2d4c34b8-4bba-4f30-bd0c-508cf1f25ce2&nodeid=ABXAAUAAIAAD&nodepath=%2fROOT%2fABX%2fABXAAU%2fABXAAUAAI%2fABXAAUAAIAAD&level=4&haschildren=&populated=false&title=49-50-803.+Handgun+carry+policy.&config=025054JABlOTJjNmIyNi0wYjI0LTRjZGEtYWE5ZC0zNGFhOWNhMjFlNDgKAFBvZENhdGFsb2cDFQ14bX2GfyBTaI9WcPX5&pddocfullpath=%2fshared%2fdocument%2fstatutes-legislation%2furn%3acontentItem%3a5JVC-WVD0-R03J-X3T5-00008-00&ecomp=8gf5kkk&prid=a427be1d-ebc3-4c9a-b9f2-d95a4cd010171 point

I cannot remember where I heard this. But it goes something like this. You can live in a $5 million house. You can drive $100,000 car. You can own a $3 million boat. When you die, you will not be remembered for any of that. But touch the heart of another human being, and you’ll be remembered forever.1 point

We ventured out today on our isolated Island and could not believe the generosity being shown. There is at least 6 places along the 25 mile road that doesn't go anywhere giving out food and water. We got some bottle water at one about a mile from our house and some staples like bread and milk etc. Tried to make a cash donation to help replenish and they said no. Everything was donated and an another truck was coming this afternoon. We then tried one the other direction in the hopes they had bulk water that we could fill our jugs for flushing and dishwashing first one had a long line so we kept going down to where we heard they brought a big tanker in, like 5th wheel semi size tanker and they filled up our jugs for us then told us we had to take a case of bottled water even though we had plenty at the moment. They said everyone that stops gets at least a case. Then to our surprise a small specialty grocery next door was not only open but had electricity. There internet connection was down so cash only. Not a problem we keep cash on hand just in case of a power outage not expecting a massive flood. So we indulged in some treats we probably would normally buy along with some fresh cold cuts, eggs and 2 of their great deli sandwiches. Then back home, pretty good outing. Found a neighbor that we had only met once sitting at the end of the driveway (we are at the top of the road so it is a good place to see about half the road). He asked if we needed anything he was apparently out check us old people to see if we needed anything. I assume he saw us leave and was waiting for us or guarding the road, because after he talked he took off. Second neighbor that has checked on us and offered to help if we need anything. Our neighbors are pretty much friendly but it isn't a let's get together neighborhood, so it is great that they are willing to offer help. Even the fellow that does our lawn work, that lives out of the isolated area, texted yesterday and today checking if we were ok and even offered to bring us food, water and gas if we need him, he is a volunteer at one of the food/water stations. There are great people out there.1 point
