  1. There are enough domestic disinformation spreaders including the government and politicians at all levels, “journalists” backed by multimillion/billion corporations, hysterics that get their information from social media, and little punks sitting in their mom’s basement intentionally spreading bull#### just to get a reaction. Yeah, Russia and “other foreign actors” are pros at it, but the American public is so beyond gullible any idjit can say boo on the internet and it spreads like wildfire.

  2. Yes they can create curfews, etc during emergencies. Rest assured most in the area did just leave and go look for family and friends. When they shut down local fire departments, sheriff's departments, etc from doing their jobs then it is an issue. The people I'm talking about were trying to work through those local channels. When you hear first hand that the only people actually delivering goods, doing safety checks, trying to get people medical attention are Samaritans Purse, churches, etc., and not any government alphabets, then my opinion they can't walk in and take over and then stop everything. That has happened. I also know that they were ignored in a lot of areas and told to pound sand by some fire chiefs and sheriff's. Basically the incompetence at some of the government people trying to run the show is mind boggling. But then what else is new. These are first hand reports by people I know personally. If the media reported what was actually happening I would hope there would be a massive public outcry but those reports won't happen.

  3. Knoxville TVA Credit Union has teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee to accept donations and double them up to $25,000. This gives you much more bang for your flood victim charity buck. https://www.tvacreditunion.com/community.html

  4. Up for sale is a russian m44 postwar carbine. Imported by century arms. Barrel is nice and shiny. Matching numbers from what I can tell. Very nice shape overall. I'm asking $375 cash. I can meet up in shelbyville or Murfreesboro. Must show proof of TN residency.

  5. I really, really really like my Max 9 Micro pistol. It is thin(1"), size wise it is excellent and fits most pockets with an extended mag. If the pocket is tight, it has a flush mount with 2 rounds less. It does not print as bad as my 7-shot revolver. My hand fits the extended mag much better because the flush mount only holds half my pinkie finger. I do prefer a full finger grip as, for me, it adds to controllability. With Winchester + P 147 gr self-defense ammo it is a handful. That ammo really whacks the Steel I have on my shooting range. The thinness of the pistol makes it slide in and out of my pockets really easy and with the extended mag it comes out with an excellent grip which I do not need to adjust once the pistol is presented. Caliber wise I have confidence in the 9 MM so as to stop a thug, as that is/would be my goal, not necessarily to kill someone. I feel it may take more than one good hit, but I feel that way with my 357 Mag also. I am not naive enough to know that death could "very possibly" happen, however that would not be my goal. Just stop them from hurting my family, or myself, is. I pray often that I am never faced with evil again and be forced to use my tools. I realize that scenario would be my very last resort if all else fails. I know there are several other brands of Micro pistols on the market now. At the behest of my daughter, I went to Outpost Armory with her, and we picked out a Hellcat for my S-I-L's birthday, this year. I hope to get with him and fire that Micro pistol in the future. IMO, the Micro Size is a very good size pistol for concealed carry with tools that are "formattable/adequate" in power, and very comfortable and concealable. I haven't purchased a pistol, in the past, that I have that much confidence in lately. I carry mine in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster and it keeps the grip upright and ready for a fast hand retrieve should I have a pressing emergency. My first love are revolvers because that is what I grew up with. I have personally witnessed their success, on several occasions, at stopping evil without firing a shot, and yes, they are very effective deterrents, however one must possess the mindset to use them if forced too. I have a 7-shot revolver in my pocket as I type this, and yes, I carry at home always. Life taught me a good/valuable lesson a few years back. I never get out of bed, and go outside without it, ever since my date with evil, in my own front yard, has passed. Just some of my thoughts on Micros as I had mine out on the range a couple weeks ago. My Max nine fills my cup, guys. Edited to add content.

  6. Two Zastava Zpap M70's up for grabs. Both of these are unfired, and come with a 30rd mag each with ammo included! The cleaning rod on the polymer Zpap is snug and may require a punch to remove it. According to Zastava, that is because it's "new" and needs to be broken in. Asking price is $900 each.

  7. I would agree and feel most of the crap posted on Facebook an such are flat lies, grossly exaggerated, or as stated designed to divide. I also don't think it can all be laid 100% at Russia and foreign countries feet either. I have not heard of any goods or monies donated being confiscated, etc. I'm sure there are plenty of scams. At the end of the day when tragedies such as this hit it is the good in people, COMING TOGETHER, that comes out. That is being shown over and over. May we all strive to be a beacon of hope even in the darkest of times.

  9. I have a Vz70 and really like it. For me it's a range toy, but I could see carrying it. That steel frame sucks up the recoil from the little .32 cartridge. You can dump the magazine center of mass with no issues. Unfortunately it seems like the examples I come across these days are pretty beat up. I was lucky enough to grab one when they first came into the country in bulk

  10. And more work....... That raised front end was bothering my eyes. So I took the grinder to it Now I'm much happier with how she's sitting. Today was busy. Raked, slugged & re-welded the front end, fabricated mounts for the oil tank & rear fender & got those bolted up (which would've been simpler if I hadn't ROYALLY screwed the pooch & ordered the fender an inch too small. Lots of slitting, stretching & welding.....) sorted out the sissy bar & mounted it & fabricated the headlight mount. I just got done around 10:30 tonight! And of course, I've got the sissy bar mounted arse-backwards 5 minute fix for tomorrow before work.

  12. For sale: 280 Ackley Improved Built by a forum member with great care, from whom I bought it a few years back. I've shot this beauty 20 times exactly. Put factory ammo 8 inches at 1200 yards. (Sub 1" MOA) You're supposed to form the brass, then you reload the improved profile with a custom load. I never got around to that part. It's time to let it go. Giles County, Columbia area. $450 includes scope rail, no scope.

  15. The same way the government can implement curfews during an emergency. Not saying I agree but I'm guessing that's how they get away with it. I'm very skeptical of some of these claims coming out without hearing first hand. I do know there are reasons they don't let volunteers do search and rescue without any training. Sometimes those trying to help end up needing to be rescued themselves. I've also seen a few videos from locals where too many people are showing up to "help" and are actually creating issues of being in the way. I imagine most people have good intentions but may not be as helpful as they think.

  18. I saw them for $40 - 55 quite often on ebay when I was on the fence, but I don't like to buy used electronics from strangers. Knowing @jeremiah has been on TGO for 16 years and has around 100 positive feedback posts calmed all those concerns and this radio works flawlessly.

  22. Can't speak to the volume as I don't turn mine up too loud, but sound quality is better than you would think. I've looked at several on FB MP, but they want too much for what it is. Price posted in the ad was a fair deal if everything worked.

  29. We ventured out today on our isolated Island and could not believe the generosity being shown. There is at least 6 places along the 25 mile road that doesn't go anywhere giving out food and water. We got some bottle water at one about a mile from our house and some staples like bread and milk etc. Tried to make a cash donation to help replenish and they said no. Everything was donated and an another truck was coming this afternoon. We then tried one the other direction in the hopes they had bulk water that we could fill our jugs for flushing and dishwashing first one had a long line so we kept going down to where we heard they brought a big tanker in, like 5th wheel semi size tanker and they filled up our jugs for us then told us we had to take a case of bottled water even though we had plenty at the moment. They said everyone that stops gets at least a case. Then to our surprise a small specialty grocery next door was not only open but had electricity. There internet connection was down so cash only. Not a problem we keep cash on hand just in case of a power outage not expecting a massive flood. So we indulged in some treats we probably would normally buy along with some fresh cold cuts, eggs and 2 of their great deli sandwiches. Then back home, pretty good outing. Found a neighbor that we had only met once sitting at the end of the driveway (we are at the top of the road so it is a good place to see about half the road). He asked if we needed anything he was apparently out check us old people to see if we needed anything. I assume he saw us leave and was waiting for us or guarding the road, because after he talked he took off. Second neighbor that has checked on us and offered to help if we need anything. Our neighbors are pretty much friendly but it isn't a let's get together neighborhood, so it is great that they are willing to offer help. Even the fellow that does our lawn work, that lives out of the isolated area, texted yesterday and today checking if we were ok and even offered to bring us food, water and gas if we need him, he is a volunteer at one of the food/water stations. There are great people out there.

  30. I have a 75 D Compact that has a rail like the P01. But no NATO markings like the P01 has. CZ is known for using whatever parts they have to make up different models. I hear they made a P01 all steel with a safety, but thats a unicorn and they go for over a grand on GB. I love all of their metal guns.

  31. Just the other day I was in line behind a guy at Lowe’s OCing, and was thinking how easy it would be for me to grab that gun and shoot him in the back before he even knew what happened. He wasn’t very aware either, I don’t think he even knew I was behind him.

  33. Speaking of pocket pistols.... I've had this little Beretta Tomcat in .32, for about 30 years. It is a nice and reliable pocket carry. I did "jazz it up" a bit by adding some new grips. Makes it a little more bulky.

  36. Here's my daughter, Maggie, with our purebred yellow labs Daisy and Shelby, and our pitbull / cattle dog mix, Barrett. We have always had a dog since we first got our own house. The kids grew up with a big 90lbs pitbull / black lab mix, Sebastian, who was so gentle that he'd let them bounce on his head, and so intimidating that the Jehova's Witnesses stopped knocking. Sebastian was a rescue, just like every dog we've had since. He was a 7 month old that was too much puppy for his original family to handle. Being black and a pit mix, he was not likely to be adopted. We found him at the pound on his last chance month, and he was the best-behaved dog anyone could ask for. When we moved to a house with property, Sebastian gained a little brother, Scout. He was a cattle dog / shepherd mix that looked just like a half-sized German shepherd. A lifelong puppy-sized short-haired shepherd that leapt up cliff faces like a mountain goat. He was a street rescue from Calexico. Injured in his first weeks of life, a dog charity imported him to the US. Whatever happened to him down there left a permanent impression on him, because he was extremely, inconsolably aggressive to only one kind of person: Hispanic males. He was a mixed mutt from the streets of Mexico; he was our Racist Street Taco. Barrett was a rescue from the pound; friends picked him up in Texas as he was about to be put down. He'd had a hard first year; he grew up in the shelter and overcame Parvo. My friends tried keeping him but he had a submissive peeing habit that they couldn't beat. They drove him 1000 miles to us in Chattanooga just to give him another shot. It's been six months and there's no more peeing. I like dog training. His purebred sisters are rescues, too. They were $1000 AKC puppies who were adopted by a single lady who works 10+ hours in an ER and lives in a condo. Apparently, she decided that might not be the best recipe for success with two 60lbs dogs after the puppies destroyed the condo a few times over and earned her some HOA violations. We agreed to take them in, and now they're right at home on acres upon acres of private ranch. We never go out to buy a dog. There are so many in need already, and somehow they seem to find us at just the right time. We love our dogs, and we're glad to have a place for them.

  40. Yeah, not so much a squirrel dog as she is a mole dog.She will chase about anything though.I was bush hogging in the field this summer and she saw a doe and a fawn, she chased them in the woods. About 5 seconds later here she came out of the woods flying at a very high speed with the doe in hot pursuit right on her butt. Funniest thing I’ve ever seen!
