  3. SOLD!! According to the receipt, I bought this from Nashville Armory in 2017(used). No box or papers , just the gun. Has a crimson trace grip that works. Night sight still barely glows in a dark room. 8 round capacity. It is a sweet gun to shoot. Great trigger, so much less recoil than the sp101 I had. It is used, a few slight scratches in the finish. It is tough to find these in the used market, I found this ad on the internet: https://doubleaction.com/smith-wesson-model-327-night-guard-357-2-5in-barrel-163422/ Due to this ad and the Crimson Trace grip, I'm asking 800$. Time will tell if that is reasonable or not. Meet at my place in South Nashville near McMurray middle school. Not interested in trades. Let me see if I can get some pictures of this beautiful revolver.

  9. ** Sold ** Got this as part of a trade from another TGO member, but after some reflection I don’t have need a need for it. Looks to be in good shape, and I was told it’s a shooter. I broke it down and listed everything out to the best of my ability below. Asking $300 obo Upper receiver: unknown brand, and I don’t see any markings, I was told it was possible a PSA but no way to confirm so make whatever assumptions you so choose Barrel: Ballistics Advantage 16inch unthreaded 5.56 Chrome Molly Bolt Carrier Group: Givati Firearms (Chrome Molly or Nickel Boron, honestly it’s hard for me to tell which) Hand guard: unknown brand, and I don’t see any markings, so make whatever assumptions you so choose. Does appear to be M-lock compatible with a milled top rail. Charging Handle: unknown

  10. Excellent Q Fix in 308, I will include the sling, Arca Rail, big butt stock pad, priapus grip, and whistle tip break I'll add in one magazine. The tape on the cheek rest was to add a little comfort on top of a Hoptic saddle blanket. 2,200.00 is crazy cheep I've got 3,700.00 in it. Open to trades for a noveske, Knights, or other high end small frame AR. (I DONT WANT A CUSTOM BUILT FROM YOUR GARAGE) Bipod not included

  11. I am reluctant to sell this as it is in great working order and they just don’t seem to make appliances like they used to….but, as organized as I try to be I just can’t seem to not lose things in the bottom of my freezer. I’ve decided to part ways and get an upright to help with my organization issues. Anyway, $50 It works great. Just a couple small dings from being in a garage environment. LxWxH= 41” x 21.5” x 34.5 (hinge extends additional 1.5”)

  12. Guns & Leather in Greenbrier and Goodlettsville Gun Shop. Most people have quit keep good stock of them probably because they don't make much off them. The last blue label I purchased I went to GT Distributors and had it shipped to local store for transfer. It was smooth they might take the GSSF.

  17. Since I don't use the belt clip I removed it. gives the thumb break strap more room. I have mine on the forward side to fit my pistol better. Glad you found what you needed.

  20. Lots of wisdom in that article. I shake my head every time I see such a "carry rotation." The only guy who could pull it off is Ben Stoeger.

  22. I'll second pop pop's story RE. " Close range confrontation ". I've pulled my pistola twice in recent years to calm down threats. I saw them starting a good way away from me. They ended pretty close when they heard the last warning to stop n saw the pistola pointed. I'ma guessin in one case about 10 yards and the other about 5 yards. For what it's worth. leroy...

  23. At what distance, self defense? When my event happened, while walking to the mail box, I was within 21 feet of the closest thug. The other was within 50 feet while advancing fast toward me, and another was still in the truck. It started at a much further distance, but very soon got to within just a few feet. Not saying one will ever need to practice self defense at longer distances, but if one does one will need to be doing a lot of explaining when the event is over. I am not a fan of electronic devices in serious/L-D situations. Red Dots may/are fun to play with, but! JMHO, and yours is OK also. Total familiarity is a must with your EDC. For sure for us old folks. Changing EDC often is something that burns a lot of ammo if you stay proficient with them all. I can see carrying a larger handgun IWB, and a backup in the pocket, however one needs to practice with both, OFTEN. Many carry the same configuration, but the pocket one much smaller. I have done it both ways. Pistol IWB, and revolver pocket carry as backup. Or 2 pistols, one 16 rounds on board IWB and 13 pocket carry. Its a your choice thing, IMO. Edited to add; I had a 2" 7 shot revolver in my pocket the day the 3 thugs confronted me. Just thankful I did not need to pull it and see if 7 was enough. It was for that day. My neighbor wasn't as fortunate.

  28. Tuesday the dermatologist removed a cyst about as large as my thumb from my right shoulder blade. Sleeping isn't fun right now. The PT doctor wants to know if an xray of my back has been made. None that I know of. Couldn't eat breakfast or dinner.

  29. For myself it isn't a mental hump. I have used red dots and don't care for them. Inside of the 7 yard line it's point and squeeze. Sights are not a thought. The way I was taught and practice does not rely on aligning sights in short range defensive use. I'm not advocating that for anyone, but it works for me, quite well. I don't use any optics unless I need magnification. Extreme astigmatism will cause issues for me at times with any optic. and as @1gewehr stated, electronics will fail. That may never be an issue but you fight the way you train. If that one in however many chance hits in a gunfight you're going to hesitate and we know what happens there. I have only recently picked up polymer framed pistols (other than my P32 which is over 30). I prefer heavier handguns for shooting. Recovery is just quicker and easier. All metal pistols are a pain to carry at times but as I have said, there's always a trade off. all that to say if we are going to lighter poly frame cut slide pistols for carry comfort, why add ounces back into the holster? Add to all of the cost involved choosing something that fits an optic you're comfy with and finding a comfy holster. It all adds time and expense that I don't want or need.

  30. If you already have the 43x in a spot where you like the trigger, and you are already running the S15 mags I’d just stick with that. I sold my stock 43x to upgrade to a CR920, only to find that the trigger was just a s crappy, even after several hundred rounds. I’m going to bite the bullet and upgrade it at some point, but haven’t decided which direction yet. Other than the aesthetics, the biggest plus the CR has over the 43x is the optics mounting situation. SS did a really good job across their platforms on the optics mount piece of the puzzle.
