1984 Marlin 336TS chambered in .30-30. It does have the cross-bolt safety (the S in the TS). Beautiful condition with only some very minor freckling on the left side of the receiver. 18.5” barrel. $850. I will meet in the greater Nashville area for face-to- face sale to Tennessee residents who can legally own a firearm (DL or HCP flash).4 points

We should be able to buy any firearm being produced, we shouldn't have to over pay for a 40 year old firearm. If you want the same rifles our military are getting you should be able to go to buy a full auto sig. I don't expect this to happen but it should.3 points

I have stopped buying striker guns and have gotten into revolvers and hammer-fired semi-autos. I like striker guns but I have plenty and as a matter of fact , I'm sure you've seen me selling off my extra striker guns that I just don't use. Well , I stopped at a pawn shop that I haven't been to in a while and saw an older Glock 19. I handled it and looked it over. Like most Pawn Shops , they have the trigger-locks so that you can't try the action to make sure all is working in good order. They wouldn't let me take it off to try it so I left. I gave it a day and then returned a day later to look further. I ended up buying it and glad I did. The serial number prefix is SZ which shows that it was made in 1991 which is my high school graduation date ! Plus that means it's 33 years old. I got home and it seems like it has had maybe 300 rds or less through it. It even has the uncaptured guide rod and spring unlike the present day Glocks which are captured. The magazine is the same age and there is no damage nor marks on the base that show it being used and dropped like we do in training. I am very happy and glad it was still there. It appears that heavy duty Glock collectors buy up these uncaptured springs and guide rod used and pay a hefty price. Anyways , The innards are black colored which mean that they haven't had the "upgrade" that GLock offered. I called Glock and the technician said that they'd replace them for free but if mine was working great and in very good shape that he would "keep it the way it was" hinting around that I should keep it stock. Which I will. I will shoot it more but if it aint' broke , I ain't fixing it. Here is some pictures. I like it a lot more than the newer stuff coming out. Plus I like the old "cut-out" in the front of the magwell to strip out stuck mags if you ever needed too. I see the newer aged Glock owners complaining about this , but I have always loved it !2 points

Not sure what the “upgrade” on Gen 2 Glocks involves but I do recall hearing something about that over the years. Regardless, Gen 2 triggers are the best Glock ever had.2 points

Oh, I see. No, it just uses the 45-70 cartridges. Whether off the shelf or when loading our own.2 points

I think Darrell is talking about paper patch bullet. Used on older cartridge black powder firearms. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=paper+patch+bullet&t=newext&atb=v436-1&iax=images&ia=images2 points

Here I have a beautiful S&W Model 63-3 chambered in .22LR. This firearm is in very good condition and has seen little use. Everything works as it should and it locks up tight. It comes with the original box, packaging and accessories. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I’m located in East Nashville, thanks for looking.1 point

As I get older, I am enjoying shooting the old guns more and more. Especially those that use black powder. This is a reproduction of a Sharps 1874 in the "Gemmer" style with the cleaning rod running beneath the barrel. It is chambered for 45-70, has a 32" barrel and is crazy accurate. I have just added the venier tang sights and look forward to seeing what they add at longer distances. While I have fired some factory loads through it, it works best with the black powder loads that a friend of mine creates. He has all of the equipment to cast and load all calibers and the process that goes into finding just the right grain of bullet, the primer and of course, the amount of powder is just a fascinating thing to work with. I have a lot to learn, for sure.1 point

Right! That's something I'd like to master. I've tried it, but my fingers are all thumbs and I've never managed a neat one.1 point

For sure, 590 all day long. I should have clarified that I meant the semi-autos I know of with more than 4+1 don't meet the HD requirement on length. They tend to be too long for HD.1 point

Yes, there are patches between the powder and the bullet in the cartridge.1 point

No but it's the best I have, glass is great you can light up the reticle. I've used it out to a 1000 everything works great for adjustments. Eye relief is good. I bought it 15 years ago I'd say about 500 rounds used for zero remained perfect. Hasn't been used in a few years, the rifle it was on is gone, waiting on a new build next year. You know its reliable they let Marines use it lol. Good luck with your decision.1 point

I 100% would start with the geissele trigger. I’d also look into an adjustable gas knob, the KNS discarder is one I went with and you can adjust your settings from 1-13 which helps tuning to your preference. I’d look into PMM as well, they make alot of scar related products that I personally went with and can say make it a way better shooting experience. Optics wise I can’t really give you a preference because the scar does shred optics but if you tune and get a good mount you should be good to go.1 point

Not sure just how to feel about this. While I'd love to see a repeal of the NFA, Glock switches in the hands of gang bangers is becoming a real problem in Memphis. Oh well, if I could somehow afford a real machine gun, I couldn't afford to feed it.1 point

With only 14% of registered voters even bothering I'm not sure you could pay them all. Piss poor1 point

Glad to comment. Yes, I bought the SA-22. It is extremely accurate, easy and fun to shoot. The rifle is light and the sights are excellent. It is the smallest rifle I have ever shot (the receiver is almost tiny compared to other .22s I own) but absolutely the most fun. I have fewer misfires with the SA-22 as compared to my Winchester Models 62 and 63. And to be completely honest, there is nothing more fun than rapid firing just for the heck of it . . . The takedown function is easy and fast. They used to sell it with a carry bag, but mine did not come with one. I'd like to find one. The rifle I purchased came in the original box and was sold in a Firestone store in 1966. Are those days gone forever! Buy a rifle and new tires (which came cheaper if you had a recappable tire from your car.) Only old guys like me will know the meaning of that last statement! It's the best rifle purchase I've made! Here's a good deal if you just want a shooter. https://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/rifles/browning-rifles/browning-sa-22-sa-22-belgium-made-1969.cfm?gun_id=1014915661 point

Pass, for that price I don't care if it is totally silent, which it is not. And, to me anyway, it is next to worthless on a BP, it's not like you are going to get another shot most times. Now if they could make a rotating magazine like contraption like they do on PCP rifles then they may be onto something.1 point
