Well I think I settled it for myself today. I might build out a 1/7, but it’s not a priority. I threw down this 5 round group with steel cased TulAmmo. Put down a similar but very slightly larger group with ZSR bulk ammo, and a 1.5 inch group with bulk 62 grain green tip. This was at 50 yards, but pulling out the flyer that is about 1 MOA. I can’t argue with that for the absolute dirt cheapest ammo you can find.2 points

Moving to smaller place, and this is another of the many items I will be listing. Pics to come shortly 2012 Kawasaki Teryx 4 seater side by side. 2nd owner, and I've owned it since 2014. Has been used on the farm since I owned it, and could use a new windshield (current is scratched) but never replaced as I rarely ever folded it up. 800cc Kawasaki V-Twin engine. Oil changed 3/1/24. New Battery 1/31/24. Extra shock, and axle seals on hand that I haven't had time to put in, but runs and drives perfectly fine. $5000.002 points

I don't know about the harley crowd, I ain't one of em (me undies generally have Fruit of the Loom on the waistband, not the HD logo. I don't know what a doo rag is for & chaps are for rounding up cows! ) but I picked it up from the offroad plodders.2 points

SACS 1911 is in beautiful shape. Not even broken in yet. If you know semi custom 1911s Springfield’s custom shop pistols were some of the best. Looking for a full size semi custom 1911 in 9mm. It will come with everything pictured. Mainly interested in Wilson, NHC, ACW. Thanks again all.1 point

Bersa Thunder CC .380. Purchased for grand-daughters as a range gun but they prefer my compact 9's. I put less than 100 rounds through it, owned about 2 years. As with all my firearms they are well maintained and kept clean. Price $225. I have 250 rounds of ammo which I will also sell for an additional $50. Prefer local pick up (Tri-Cities area) but shipping within Tennessee can be arranged (I won't ship the ammo). Requires bill of sale and TN drivers license or carry permit.1 point

***Sold *** Remington 700 ADL Varmint chambered in 22-250. It’s got a 26in varmint contour barrel and a low round count (less than a box). I keep telling myself I’ll do something with this, but I never do so here we are. Would prefer cash, but if you have a trade send it my way I’m always looking to pick things up.1 point

Just ordered 500 rounds of Winchester high pressure(+P) 147 Gr HP S D ammo from SG ammo for 249.00 + Tax. Most Self Defense ammo is around 90 cents per round while this is .50 cents per round. Thought it was a good deal. I favor heavier bullets.1 point

Horses for courses really, what do you want the rifle for? 223 Wylde has been mentioned and it's a great choice, 223 was designed around a 20" barrel so if you want decent velocity.......... I just completed a 22Arc build, 1:7 twist and 24" barrel as I wish to fling good BC bullets long distances. On the other end of the spectrum I have a 300 BLK with 7.5" barrel, great for subs. They all have a reason to be in your safe!!!!1 point

We are selling the farm and moving to a smaller piece of property, so the sawmill (that I searched for for 6 months ) is up for grabs. Will get photos uploaded soon as I can. 2022 Woodland Mills HM122 Sawmill with factory upgraded 9.9 hp engine. Less than 15hrs on it. Cuts 22" diameter x 10' logs as is or longer logs with additional track. Would love to have had more time to use it, but life gets in the way sometimes. Feel free to pm with any questions. Still currently assembled, could fit into the back of a truck when tracks are taken apart, but would recommend a trailer for ease of unloading. I have equipment here to load the power head onto truck/trailer. Paid $3,783 delivered. Asking $2500 obo. Edit: Also have walnut, cherry, and oak logs that can be negotiated to go with.1 point

An awful lot is written and said about the accuracy of the Carcano, but almost all of it comes from people who know nothing. Here's an interesting article that I just came across this morning: Army Veteran Analyzes the Infamous Rifle That Ended JFK's Life | SOFREP (Short summary -- a trained rifleman could make this shot repeatedly.) Cheers, Whisper1 point

Collector's list. I'm more of a shooter. None of these are on my list. Maybe Elmer Kieth's No 5. For surplus 1911 I'd look for Remington Rand since that was the best of my issue pistols.1 point

I was going to tell you about the parts Dave posted. He’s got some good stuff. I got two of the SSK-50 frames when the pre-order first dropped and I really love those frames.1 point

Got my ammo in today. UPS just brought it. This ammo is rated at 967 fps at 25 yards and is a 147 gr 9 MM bullett. Watched crono test, on SG site, where this ammo was running averaging 1025 fps at 10 ft out of a 4.25 inch brl Glock. Hot stuff for factory loaded ammo. Not bad price for SD ammo. Got a story in the new Guns and Ammo magazine saying we are about to undergo a powder shortage in the US.1 point

I have gotten very specific on a couple things for any barrel/upper I now purchase for a rifle that will be shooting bulk ammo. It has to have a 223 wylde chamber and it has to have a 1/8 twist. Does it really matter? Maybe not but there is not a shortage of options for high quality barrels within these two specs, so why compromise. If I'm building something specific, I'd build accordingly or if someone lists something for sale that is dirt cheap, I may grab it but otherwise it needs to hit these two marks.1 point

I saw that. What I find interesting/disturbing is that I don't care. I'll still take a corrupt, self-serving a-hole (if that is even what he is) over some wanna be who thinks the bill of rights is conditional. It's sad but here we are.1 point

I remember a former Speaker of the House, Beth Harwell, who claimed the mantle of Conservative and never once voted in favor of a 2nd Amendment piece of legislation. She supported the Democrat Governor when he vetoed the Guns in Bars Bill, she voted twice on the floor two years in a row against it and voted then to sustain his veto two years in a row. Makes me leery of those who toss that modifier about.1 point

I did a thing last week. Believe it or not, I haven't been able to make it to the range yet. Which is just as well as I decided to switch optics and put a closed-emitter Holosun HE509T on it instead. Thankfully I ordered both the mounting plate for the 509T as well as the RMR-footprint plate from C&H Precision Weapons a week or two before I had ordered the gun. Now I am just waiting on the 509T to arrive. No sense getting one red dot sighted in when I'm going to switch to another! Wasting ammo like that is 2019 type of thinking; not 2020 thinking where you begin to consider whether you should reclaim your bullets and smash them back into shape as best you can after you shoot them at things.1 point

Ugh. Well I just bought a Compact model from an online shop I’ve used before. I managed to get it without being gouged but now this means I’m going to have to shop for a holster and all that other stuff soon.1 point
