  1. Bersa Thunder CC .380. Purchased for grand-daughters as a range gun but they prefer my compact 9's. I put less than 100 rounds through it, owned about 2 years. As with all my firearms they are well maintained and kept clean. Price $225. I have 250 rounds of ammo which I will also sell for an additional $50. Prefer local pick up (Tri-Cities area) but shipping within Tennessee can be arranged (I won't ship the ammo). Requires bill of sale and TN drivers license or carry permit.

  3. Went to my gun range, in the back yard, and I have 2 trees that have blown down on it. I was able to shoot around them while shooting my Taurus TX 22 C. Shot 80 rounds and was run in by the rain and mosquitos. I just can't get out when the sun is not bright. Them darn things eat me up. I had 1 failure as I was limp writing when a mosquito was biting my little finger. The pistol is great guys.

  15. That is a list of guns the author would LIKE to own. Not a list of guns TO own. Granted, its a fine list. Some magnificent pieces there. But way, way over my pay grade.

  16. Recently acquired a SSK-50 receiver so I need to find some barrels and other related parts. Looking for a few specific things but I may be open to other things that might not be on my immediate radar. 22 LR Match barrel. 14" preferred but will consider other options, 45-70 Rifle length barrel 16"-21" 30-30 Barrel any length. Open to barrels with or without rings, mounts, or mounted scopes. Target or Pachmayr style rubber grip (G1 style) Target or Pachmayr style black pistol fore end for above pistol barrels. (G1compatible) Rifle stock and fore end. (G1compatible) I am not planning on buying all of this at once, well my wife is not planning on me buying this all at once anyway. I am just getting my wish list out there so I can start building back up the T/C Contender collection I had years ago (and never should have sold). Let me know what you have available. In Middle TN but will travel a little for the right parts or a good deal.

  17. Very nice event with continuous panels and forum discussions as well as class-room events. I would guess over 200 vendors. Not a gun show, more along the lines of a NRA convention. Will go again is available.

  18. This rifle was built by Tony Ben M14, a premiere M14 builder out of Florida. If you are an M1A/M14 fan, you probly watched his videos. We went all-in on this top shelf build. Anyways, listing the main components if you want to see what's in it or the cost to build your own. - LRB rear lugged M14 receiver - Kreiger m14 medium weight stainless barrel - McMillan M3A Woodland Camo stock (Requires inletting and bedding. Also, QD cups optional) - Sadlak "Airborne" scope mount - Shooting Sight's Match trigger - Unitized gas cylinder and other action parts I've shot maybe 50-60 rounds downrange and confirmed it can pop 4 inch steel at 500 yards. That was factory loads too. Love this dream rifle BUT life happens. Yours for $4,000. Of course, reasonable offers considered. If you are interested, please PM any questions. Can meet middle TN near Spring Hill, Fairview or Dickson.

  23. Still is funny when you connect 2 of the with a 9 volt battery. Yes, I have seen it done, on a dare, by a real idjit. He got burned in that instant and for months afterward.

  24. Got my ammo in today. UPS just brought it. This ammo is rated at 967 fps at 25 yards and is a 147 gr 9 MM bullett. Watched crono test, on SG site, where this ammo was running averaging 1025 fps at 10 ft out of a 4.25 inch brl Glock. Hot stuff for factory loaded ammo. Not bad price for SD ammo. Got a story in the new Guns and Ammo magazine saying we are about to undergo a powder shortage in the US.

  25. Yep. I was pretty sure that was the case, but it sure sounds entertaining. I guess an alternative would be to cast a fish net over his face.

  26. I have gotten very specific on a couple things for any barrel/upper I now purchase for a rifle that will be shooting bulk ammo. It has to have a 223 wylde chamber and it has to have a 1/8 twist. Does it really matter? Maybe not but there is not a shortage of options for high quality barrels within these two specs, so why compromise. If I'm building something specific, I'd build accordingly or if someone lists something for sale that is dirt cheap, I may grab it but otherwise it needs to hit these two marks.

  27. If I were putting together an sbr or long range ar15 in 5.56, it would be a 1 in 7. If I wanted to shoot lighter bullets a coyotes out to 300ish yards, I'd do 1 in 9. BTJM

  28. If length isn't an issue, a 14.5" barrel won't do much for you except maybe a little less fps. The twist is important for heavier bullets though, 1/7 is all I buy when buying barrels. Having said that, my 10.5" barrels do quite well and are pretty accurate. 10.5 is the shortest I have built, though I have an 8" barrel somewhere but it's probably not going to be built unless I run out of things to do. I have a S&W flattop too, and am not sure the twist on that one, but that was my first AR and didn't pay attention to those things back then because 55 grn was probably the heaviest bullet back then, at least the heaviest I had seen.

  34. Buy a few different magazines and see which one your pistol likes best. 1911’s can be finicky and you never know what will work best and what won’t work. I’ve been lucky with the WC 47D’s as well. Maybe you can borrow a few different mags instead of buying them to try out?
