Damn, hope the hacker gets the worst in the end. If these kinds of people would put that much effort into good things think how much the world would be.3 points

Went to my gun range, in the back yard, and I have 2 trees that have blown down on it. I was able to shoot around them while shooting my Taurus TX 22 C. Shot 80 rounds and was run in by the rain and mosquitos. I just can't get out when the sun is not bright. Them darn things eat me up. I had 1 failure as I was limp writing when a mosquito was biting my little finger. The pistol is great guys.2 points

Still is funny when you connect 2 of the with a 9 volt battery. Yes, I have seen it done, on a dare, by a real idjit. He got burned in that instant and for months afterward.2 points

Yep. I was pretty sure that was the case, but it sure sounds entertaining. I guess an alternative would be to cast a fish net over his face.2 points

It's not fake, but it doesn't need a belt. The 44 mag is a prime example of marketing. If you called it the 429 long, it'd still do just a good of a job. 38 long doesn't sound as cool as 357 mag. The 7mm mag was developed to kill the 264 mag and it did.2 points

The word "Magnum" was a marketing tool for ammunition sales. Just put an unnecessary belt on the bottom of a bottleneck case and call it a magnum. Charles Newton had rifles in what would be considered modern belt less magnums, but didn't have a cool name derived from wine bottles.2 points

I have a HK VP9 OR 9mm w/ HOLOSUN SCS Green Dot Sight. This came as a package deal from HK, it's like NIB. Includes all the paperwork for the SCS Holosun, and HK VP9 Manual, Orginal Box, all the Back Straps, Grip Inserts, two 17rnd Mags w/ Loader. I got this as a partial trade deal I made, it appears unfired or very little. The HOLOSUN SCS does not require batteries it runs on solar power, so no worrying about changing batteries. It's in great overall condition. $700 CASH FTF. I live in the Whitehouse area and can meet locally around Goodletsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin and Nashville area for FTF deal, and I can drive to a half way point to meet and complete the transaction. Thanks for looking, let's give this a new owner.1 point

I have gotten very specific on a couple things for any barrel/upper I now purchase for a rifle that will be shooting bulk ammo. It has to have a 223 wylde chamber and it has to have a 1/8 twist. Does it really matter? Maybe not but there is not a shortage of options for high quality barrels within these two specs, so why compromise. If I'm building something specific, I'd build accordingly or if someone lists something for sale that is dirt cheap, I may grab it but otherwise it needs to hit these two marks.1 point

Tactical seems to be a marketing term meant to attract buyers who are willing to spend a bit more, in the hopes of making a more effective handgun. To me, it just means decked out to looker cool. And, to make the gun look more capable, even without ever shooting the thing. Some of the best handguns I have ever owned/shot/competed with are seriously lacking in the good looks department.1 point

You mean you would actually DO that to somebody?!?!?! Yeah, I would too. Call me before you do so I can come watch! Or maybe even just listen.1 point

I can't believe how bold your crook was to actually contact you. I'm so paranoid about online security that I use a reputable password generator and a completely different company for password storage.1 point

I am thrilled to announce that not only is FN America signed on as a sponsor and making a generous donation to SFA for the match, but they are also sending two competitors to run with us. AND A MK48 MACHINEGUN AND A TECH TO KEEP IT RUNNING ALL WEEKEND!!!! This will be a stage gun on a 10k Stage - fittingly the stage honoring MA2 Michael Monsoor, who carried a Mk48 as his primary overseas. Every 10k competitor will get a 10rd belt of ammo to start the stage with, and then they'll have to shoot the rest of the stage with a 308 beltfed sized grin on their face. What do you get for running twice as far and paying more for the 10k? MOAR!!!! https://fnamerica.com/1 point

For what it's worth, I've tried the comp idea on my MR920, a Glock 43x, and my trusty Smith MP EZ 9 With defensive loads from 124 to147 grains. I can barely tell any difference. These are excellent comps and my hands are 78 plus years old. I would simply buy a " non comped " gun. They are cheaper n easier to conceal. I'm like several others have opined. There simply ain't enough gas generated nor velocity to have a very meaningful recoil or muzzle rise reduction. leroy...1 point

1994 Ruger M77 Mark II in 7mm Magnum. Comes with Ruger integrated scope rings. Took this on trade from a good friend who bought it new in '94 to hunt elk. It's probably had no more than a few boxes ran through it in its 28 years. Been sitting in his safe. Nice example of one of the early Mark II's, nice patina to the walnut, a few minor hunting nicks, nothing bad. Tried to show the few on the magazine floor plate. SPF Have 15 rounds to go with it.
