I don't think anyone cares what I think, and most people are smart enough not to ask me what I think. If a person did come along and ask me what I thought about something the first thing I would do is say you don't really want to know. Enjoy your day3 points

And how has that worked out over the past 233 years? The point is. The vast majority of people think that the 1st gives them the right to run their mouths and confront people without repercussion . I submit it does not. If people would mind their own business then we would not be discussing some asshole at the Piggly Wiggly. On another note, I had no idea that Piggly Wiggly is still in existence. It was the first self service grocery ever and started in Memphis.2 points

I was just bragging about Stallone taking a stance against hollywood's wokeness and now he's on my butthurt list too. I know it makes me a hypocrite, but Reynolds and Jackman are anti-gunners too, but I just handed over my hard-earned money to watch their movie. There's a few actors who've lost me forever (DeNiro, Jim Carrey, Will Smith to name a few), but that makes me a hypocrite too. They likely don't share any views most of hollywood don't also share. There's no winning this. I either give up all forms of entertainment or quit keeping score about what side they are on. I wish I didn't know what I already know. Ignorance would be bliss.2 points

I have this t-shirt that has an Israeli flag on it and says, "Proud to support Israel." My church has had a long relationship with a synagogue in town. I was wearing this shirt yesterday when my wife and I went to the grocery store. I had 4 people in the store walk up to me and thank me for wearing the shirt. One lady and I talked for a while about what this country has become. Then this man walks by pushing a cart and says, "You know you are supporting baby killers, don't you?" The snarky look on his face, the fact that this was happening in a Piggly Wiggly, one of the last bastions of rural American culture, I snapped back, "Hammas are the baby killers, hiding behind women and children like cowards." I guess he wasn't expecting this, not being from the South and all. He went on a mad tirade about the history of the middle east and how much he hated the Jews. Then he walked up into my face, with is chest all bowed out. He didn't seem to notice when I dropped my right foot back a little. He probably didn't know I was thinking about the best way to take him down if he touched me. Then he finished by saying "You shouldn't be wearing that shirt!" My response was calm and subdued, "I will wear whatever shirt I want to and you can kiss my LARGEMOUTH BASS!" He decided to walk away suddenly, and I turned around and saw the security guard walking down the aisle. I said, "There is something wrong with that guy, I think he's on drugs, you might want to go talk to him." Which he did. Thus ended the confrontation. Some may say that I was asking for trouble, wearing a shirt like that. Maybe I should have turned the other cheek. I didn't want to hurt the guy, but I will make my stand to live and die a free man, as long as my wife approves.1 point

RE:.." Freedom of expression "... This country is built upon freedom of expression and freedom of association. The hippie generation of the sixties took this " freedom " to the extreme. They and their children are now concentrated on the left; and " freedom of expression" has morphed into " hate speech "... If they don't like it; you can't speak it... They have become the very image of the thing they hated in their youth. Ain't that interesting..? leroy...1 point

They all move here because it is a great place. You know what made it a great place? Their absence.1 point

For what it's worth, I've tried the comp idea on my MR920, a Glock 43x, and my trusty Smith MP EZ 9 With defensive loads from 124 to147 grains. I can barely tell any difference. These are excellent comps and my hands are 78 plus years old. I would simply buy a " non comped " gun. They are cheaper n easier to conceal. I'm like several others have opined. There simply ain't enough gas generated nor velocity to have a very meaningful recoil or muzzle rise reduction. leroy...1 point

Comped guns have been around for a long time now but it’s seems comped guns are becoming a new hot-ness for CC again (I know the Roland special is probably coming up on 10 years now). From everything I’ve seen/read - totally my personal perception, it’s just for a maybe 5-10% reduction of recoil to deal with. Do you have freed up funds to shell out for making a switch just for a 5-10% gain in recoil management? it’s a very easy question for me to answer. Juice not worth the squeeze of investing funds, time and ammo to vet a new gun for carry. Not to mention possible reliability issues that may be more prone to pop up. My personal, general thoughts for CC proficiency-from concealment can you repeatedly make a 10yd head shot in 2 seconds or less? can you run a 7YD bill drill clean in around 2 sec? Most people are going to be pretty challenged with those and a comped gun is gonna be very little help, if any for reaching those standards. Sure, the comped gun will help on the bill drill but only in split times - that’s a good way down the rabbit hole on the list of things needed to get that one done It’s all about shot placement anyways. 90%+ of people are far more better off investing in more training/ammo. But that’s not new and shiny. That said, I’m all for people doing whatever they want and makes them happy. Just my $0.02.1 point
