  2. A month ago I was shopping at my local Kroger. Got finished in self-check and pushed my card into the reader. My left leg started shaking. I was on the floor for 15 minutes trying to control the shaking without any luck. 2 managers and 2 employees came to my aids as well as they could. One used my phone to call my daughter to come fast. Another called an ambulance. All was good by the ambulance arrived. They loaded me in, checked me out and found nothing wrong so released me when family arrived. The next day at dinnertime I left my computer stool to start dinner, my wife is blind and can't help. The tingling started again. By the time I walked to the door 8 ft away I couldn't raise my foot to the first step and my granddaughter helped me to my bed as well as she could. For 20 minutes my left leg was shaking out of control with the rest of my body fighting it, it won that battle. My granddaughter pressed my right foot against her leg and pulled top of foot and heel of left leg. Within seconds it was over. My wife and I take a lot of medical drugs and she thought I might have over or under balance myself by going to a salt free diet. Gave me one of her pills for that. I was able to cook dinner and enjoy the rest of the evening. The next day I made an appointment to see a GP to get service started for the next Tuesday. A week later my oldest son is headed my way so we can shop together. He texted that he was there and I headed to the front door to left him in. I made 3 steps before the shaking was so bad that I was on the floor. He picked my and we headed for my bed. Granddaughter had both feet as before. Son and grandson were rubbing/pulling on my left leg and my wife was helping me on the right side. Nothing helped for 45 minutes. Felt like an endless battle. It would slow down then start again. He said 5 miles to the hospital and we are heading there now. He went in for a wheel chair with my driver's license and insurance card and told them I was having chest pains. I was pushed through the door and into an exam room. CT was ordered up right then, As soon as test comes back the doctor on the monitor showed us a mass on the top of the brain right rear. MRI ordered. Within minutes I'm told I have a tumor putting press on my left leg control of the brain. Less than 1/16" movement forward could give me a stroke. I'm placed in ICU for the night. 10:10 that evening my visitor was from the best head doctors group in Memphis. For an hour he showed me all the returns from both test. It needs to come out right now. The bad thing is we can't do this in Desoto County, MS. Have to do it in Memphis. He leaves to check on other things for the evening. At 9:20 am he returns with some news. I'm in a Baptist hospital. If I stay I can get a transfer to Memphis Baptist in 4 to 6 weeks. If I go home it could be 8 to 10 weeks. St Franes hospital is 7 to 8 weeks. An hour later he finds out that Methodist hospital is tomorrow morning, 7/11. Have to check out of Baptist asap and get to his office and sign in as new patient. Reading over paper work from him I have restrictions from 4 to 6 months. Must pass test before each is released. Can't bend my head to look up or down for 4 months. Can't walk steps for 4 months. Can't drive for 6 months are the big ones for me. Granddaughter will have to scoop cat litter and change out dog pads since they are in the computer room 3 steps down. I'm preregistered for a new beginning at 5 am tomorrow, 2 days in ICU and 2 days ICU stepdown. I'll be back when I can.

  5. This right here! I bought my Ruger Max 9 with the CTS-1550 RDS to see if I liked it. I’ve had it several years now. I’ve had zero issues with it and I’ve never replaced the battery. The irons co-witness with the CTS-1550. I shoot the pistol with the RDS very well. I see zero reason to change it out. And I’m very happy with the setup.

  10. There is a place for factory dots, they usually come on the gun much cheaper than you could go buy one. If it's a range gun, plinker, etc a factory sight will be fine. Another case I'd consider a factory sight is if a person is moving to a red dot and wants to "try it out" . Don't mortgage the farm for an expensive dot if you have no experience with one. If you like it - and like the gun - you can always upgrade later. Personally I run an enclosed Holosun EPS on my Shadow Systems CR920, no worries about dirt, lint, water, snowflakes, whatever messing up the dot when you need it most. I've tested myself several times with - and without a dot, same targets, same distance. I acquire the target faster with a dot, and I'm more accurate with a dot. I learned on irons, and the transition took me some time, but it's worked out well.

  11. Up for sale is my Ruger SR-22. This is a silver anodized version. It comes with the original box, paperwork, gun lock, 2 original magazines and 2 additional Ruger magazines. I put maybe 100-150 rounds through with out issue. I picked it up on the TGO so I don’t know the full round count. I’ll post pics in the morning. $250 obo to Tennessee residents who can legally own a firearm. TN license or ECP flash. Located in Nashville.

  14. I saw that. What I find interesting/disturbing is that I don't care. I'll still take a corrupt, self-serving a-hole (if that is even what he is) over some wanna be who thinks the bill of rights is conditional. It's sad but here we are.

  16. You are NOT overthinking this at all. You are being very wise. To answer your question, YES A POWER STRIP HAS CAUSED A FIRE. I know this because that is what the fire department determined burned down my son's apartment and killed his cat. (They told him it ran away when they busted his door down because they didn't have the heart to tell him the truth.) I'm sure electricians reading this are saying, "that shouldn't happen" but the apartments were old, had been thru who knows how many remodels, and the powerstrip was cheap AmaWalmartzon garbage. He had his X-Box & Playstation plugged into the power strip. Not sure what else. Not sure what brand the powerstrip was but can tell you it was whatever Chinese thing was on sale at Amazon at the time we bought it. Made us re-evaluate the powerstrips we have around the house. We found one of our powerstrips fried (blackened at the plug, and dead) in the detached shop. Scary. Glad it was just sitting on the concrete floor and not near anything flammable. Only thing plugged into it was a Battery Tender. Go figure. Looking at the rest of our powerstrips, if they didn't say UL Registered, we tossed them. We are much more diligent buying actual name brand powerstrips with circuit breaker protection now. Could not imagine the heartbreak of losing our home & animals because we used the cheapest powerstrip on eBay to save a few bucks. False economy. Electricity is no joke to us now. Apparently that schitt can burn your house down :o( @GlockSpock - you are smart to think about and question the safety of your situation. And the electrical-knowing people responding; thank you for sharing your professional insight and info. It's helpful.

  17. You are way overthinking this. Assuming your home is wired correctly (i.e. correct gauge for specific load rating on said circuit), the breaker will trip when overloaded. Plain and simple.

  18. It's more likely a 20A circuit. 15A is only supposed to be for lighting. If you only print on one printer at a time, you should be fine. 80% rules says 20 amps x 120V x .8 = 1920w is safe peak.

  19. I put one on one on a .22 pistol and I still struggle finding the dot, but it's 100% my fault for lack of practice. It is MUCH easier for follow-up shots, but I pocket-carry. I can't EDC one unless I go back to belt holsters.

  20. She supported The Governor's special Session for Red Flag laws, that is enough right there. I can remember when Ogles was head of AFP in 2016 and Brian Kelsey then Chair of Senate Judiciary told me he was voting against Constitutional Carry, Ogles threatened to cut him off from AFP if he did not support the bill, of course Kelsey forced Stevens to vote against it to kill the bill, but is shows that Ogles is a real 2A supporter.
