Ok. Here is the 1969 Marlin 336 SRC. It goes with my other birth year Marlins. 336 in 30-30 and 336 in 36Remington. The stock and forend needed a little clean up and refresh of the hand rubbed oil finish. The walnut really pops now. It has the original JM hammer spur and the original front sight hood.3 points

So after years of getting onto my wife about her Amazon shopping, I guess I have gotten just as bad. Bought an Alberta Moose hunt off a non-profit. (I'm not rich, just have good credit and make piss-poor decisions) Anybody been up on one of those hunts? Able to add on a wolf for minimal charge. Plan to fire up the diesel and take it up through the Black Hills into Canadia, yeh. Any advice to plan for? Definitely a bucket list item being checked off (before I'm old and cant do it) 30-06 or 458 WM2 points

SOLD Very nice Ruger American Ranch in 7.62 x 39. Comes with original box for rifle and scope. Scope is a Vortex Crossfire 2 x 7. I have had this one a couple of years and it is one of the few that I have actually gotten around to shooting. It is a great shooting little light rifle and would make someone a fine deer rifle. Only blemishes I see on it are a couple of very small spots on the scope rail where I have changed out the scope mounts in the past and a couple of scratches on the scope from the rings. It has a 16 inch threaded barrel. Located in Lenoir City just South of Knoxville. Price is $550.2 points

I love Sako's. That is why I bought this even though I don't shoot this caliber. Since I never shoot this I thought I would pass it on to someone who would actually use it. It is a 1967 L61R Sako Finnbear in 338 Win Mag. Overall it is in great shape. The bore is nice and shiny. Another reason I bought this is because it had all of the original paperwork from when it was first ordered. Just made it a little more cool in my eyes. It also comes with period scope bases and a box of Hornady Precision Hunter ammo. Not really looking for trades right now. $1000 $9001 point

That temperature slider didn't make a lick of difference for about 15 minutes. About the time you got where you were going, it would just start pumping out hot or cold air.1 point

I've got an Aeron size C and it is insanely comfortable compared to the size B. I'm built like an ogre with a long torso and short(er) legs. The C fit me way better than the B did. Plus with it being somewhat wider, I don't snag my gun on the arm rests when I'm carrying and sit or stand. I've also used the Steelcase Leap V2 in an office setting for 4-5 years and really liked it a lot. I would have bought one of those for home if the Aeron hadn't actually been cheaper.1 point

It depends. Usually for the first application (and sometimes the second) I will put the stock and forend in the oven at about 180deg for a little while (I usually preheat the oven, turn it off, then put the pieces in. I don’t want them too hot to handle, but really warm. I feel this helps the first application penetrate better. Once it has soaked about all in I then do the hand rubbing for a bit. Then let is sit. If after a while it looks like there are oily spots, I do another round of hand rubbing. Then it sits for a day (longer if I have any patience) before I do it again.1 point

As I understand it, the Algerian boxer in question is and was born female. She just has an incredibly high testosterone levels and was born with that too. She is a bit of a freak, but is a woman. IDK, believe whatever you want.1 point

That certainly does sound arousing..I just keep ending up with a safe full of 92’s and need to stop acquiring them. My loved ones think I have an addiction to 92’s, they’ve never been more right.1 point

So the dude (male) knocks the girl out in 46 seconds. I hope these morons that are in favor of this crap are proud of themselves. And women all over the world share a great deal of blame for this in the first place. Leftist women and their "feminism" over the years have opened the door by declaring they can do anything a man can do. Really...think again. And people want us to watch the Olympics? How can anyone take the Olympics seriously anymore. I for one father would not be happy if my daughter had to compete against a swinging #@*% after they dedicated sometimes years of practice. So why aren't men competing in track and field, gymnastics and the other sports. Oh wait...is that being kept for the next Olympics?1 point

I’m a big fan of the Steelcase Leap V2 (fully adjustable). It is the pinnacle of office chairs as far as I’m concerned. No more backaches, shoulder aches or other weirdness when desk sitting. Thankfully I didn’t have to pay for the two I have. They are absurdly expensive.1 point
-
I have no advice on the chairs at all. Just signed in to say that this is what I appreciate this forum for. The off-topic advice on random subjects that don’t pertain to me and would never cross my mind. I will always take the advice over TNGO over any other online mainstream echo chamber. IMHO it’s topics like this that makes it feel more like a community than a trading post. *inset the “The more you know star going left to right”.1 point

I just went to the range and shot 6 different micro 9s. The Shield Plus was my clear favorite, so I have one inbound. Does anyone have suggestions for a smaller statured, newer shooter female? She will likely carry in her purse and light recoil impulse would be a top priority.1 point

Kicking myself for not buying a bunch of these back in the day when they were $329. About 30 years ago, I had a .44 Trapper in my hands and decided against it. 1Kish is reasonable nowadays for a real Winchester. It is probably a good thing that Morrison is a long way off. GLWS1 point

IMO, it’s really hard to beat a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoor or a Savage 110 in same caliber. Ammo is somewhat economical. The rifles are not stupid expensive. That way after a few month you decide your just not into it, you don’t have 5 grand in your stuff. I would spend 6-800 on a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. Spend your money on a scope. Don’t over spend unnecessarily on a rifle. If your just starting, your just starting. The 6.5 Creedmoor round is good at distance 1000-1400 meters plus. Great game hunting round. Anywhere from a buck plus per round. Common round and easily found. Good luck with your new, tragically addictive hobby.1 point

A lever action in .44 Mag is very versatile as most can also shoot .44 Specials.1 point
