About as much chance as a complete repeal of the NFA. Still, a useful tool for identifying RINOs unwilling to support it.3 points

Ok. Here is the 1969 Marlin 336 SRC. It goes with my other birth year Marlins. 336 in 30-30 and 336 in 36Remington. The stock and forend needed a little clean up and refresh of the hand rubbed oil finish. The walnut really pops now. It has the original JM hammer spur and the original front sight hood.2 points

M1 clip with M1909 blanks. The indented ring below the lip is a clear indication that it's a blank. The whole middle TN area was used for massive war games from 1942-44. https://www.williamsonherald.com/features/w_life/bringing-light-to-tennessee-s-forgotten-wwii-history-magill-introduces-maneuvers-docuseries/article_63e4be54-b081-11ee-8131-4b54b5dd558e.html1 point

Kinda figured, based on the wording. This is a prime case of "some things are better left unsaid".1 point

Going to be a busy day. Yep, can't sleep. Will get up at 7 am. C-spire is digging holes in every yard 2X3 ft. I don't want my Zoysia left for them. Will dig the hole and move the sod up closer to the front door. Trees make grass grow slow or not at all. Granddaughter is sick. Text both sons about a trip to Sardis, MS gun range, no reply yet. They have to be ready to leave for work between 3 and 4 pm. My neighbor said she might go with me. Bad thing is the AC in the truck is out. Hopes windows keep us cool enough. Meeting an army buddy from IN at Sardis haven't seen since '78. Plan to gather 20 buckets of casings. Will have sorting to do when I feel halfway good during the radiation and Kemo. She said Saturday would be better. Husband and oldest son could go with me. The buddy will be headed home then. Saturdays are busy at the range and I hate crowds.1 point

Looks like an enbloc clip from an M1 Garand. I'm not sure why it would be loaded with empty cases, though. BTW, I'm in the market for a few enbloc clips, but probably not quite so rusty.1 point

There is a Christmas morning photo of me (early 70’s) starting to tear open the package on a Tanto action figure (I had already opened The Lone Ranger) when I first noticed the BigWheel hidden behind the tree. It’s priceless.1 point

I wouldn't even think this gets voted out of committee. It's about to become a complete halt for anything that isn't a must pass budget item as Congress goes into full campaign mode for themselves and the Presidential ticket. Mike Lee's intentions aren't in doubt, his ability to read a calendar is.1 point

I have no expectation of this becoming law, but if it did I think we'd see prices plummet. Any machinist with any decent skill could manufacture a quality suppressor. You'd see so many manufacturers jump into this market they'd stumble over themselves having to compete with each other. You would probably see shortages and maybe price increases by any of the "big" manufacturers, but long term even they'd have to compete with everyone else. It'd be similar to flashlights. Surefire charges hundreds for a flashlight but you can buy a cheap $0.99 LED flashlight at the gas station. They obviously aren't one and the same and many do end up spending the hundreds for the Surefire (I know I certainly have) and while the $0.99 option is likely junk I bet there are thousands of quality $50.00 - $100 lights on the market. Not everyone would be purchasing Surefire or SilencerCo suppressors. For many, the $49.99 Bass Pro or PSA promo deal would be plenty fine. If only this were a problem to have to put up with.1 point

Only because of supply and demand, as soon as that phase of the economy hits the supply will increase and price will come down some. The better of this is we can start to make our own.1 point

I'd like to see: 500m Service rifle - each country needs to use it's most common service rifle (ie: M4 for USA and AK-74 for Russia). Timed, 5 minutes with 60 rounds 50m Service Pistol - Same as above but pistols. Timed, 5 minutes with 50 rounds 500m Obstacle course with Service Rifle and full basic load, canteens, etc. 750m GPMG - Each country using it's issue General Purpose MG (M240, PKM, MG3, etc) Group and echelon targets at varying ranges. Timed, two minutes with 200 rounds. Biathlon - Combined above top three items!!!1 point

Agreed. If she's a grabber, that's a reliable presentation of her world view. Why Did it Have to be ... Guns?, L. Neil Smith of The Libertarian Enterprise (survivalblog.com) When people show you that they're your enemy, believe it. Cheers, Whisper1 point

"I support the Second Amendment, but"... is usually code for "I'm a grabber." But I admit I know nothing about her.1 point

I used to have a rack in a truck I owned previously. All I carried in it was an axe handle. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk1 point
